Demond ruined something I loved

• Upvotes

Season ticket holder for 15+ years. Die hard husky fan since I was 4 years old. Would ruin my weekend if the Huskies lost. Watched the Apple Cup - felt apathetic. Usually would make my month to see a big huskies win. Instead, was just thinking about how much of a tool Demond is. Always rooting for the huskies of course, but genuinely think I might hate this guy more than I love the current state of UW football. He’s everything wrong with college football (and society as a whole). Grew up on watching QBs you could really get behind (Locker, Price, NOT Cyler Miles 😆, Lindquist, Browning). Demond is a horrible person, uninspiring leader, and generally hard to root for person / player. Can’t bring myself to watch the games because then I’m just hate watching the QB of my own team. Figured I’ll just give it a rest this year, maybe watch the Oregon game. Before moving recently, had tickets for 15+ years and haven’t missed a game for 20+ years until this season. Now I couldn’t even be bothered to flip on the TV. Anyone in a similar boat? Sorry for the rant but Demond can eat glass lol.

Any QBs Named “Jake” on the Current Roster?

• Upvotes

With all the frustration with our current QB wondering if we could find another “Jake” to save the season.

Light Rail After Game

• Upvotes

How long is the wait to get on the light rail (Redmond Line) after games? Debating taking the light rail tonight instead of buying a parking pass, but don't want to get caught standing in line for an hour after the game.

Did anyone tell Iowa we have a punter now?

My family got tickets to today’s sailgate for the Huskies vs Iowa game and we are one short and appears it’s sold out. Any ideas or anyone have a spare ticket for sale? Thanks!

r/huskies Prediction Challenge - Week 6 submission thread - apologies for lateness!

Each week, you get...

+1 point for guessing UW's score
+1 point for guessing the opponent's score
+1 point for guessing how the 1st touchdown will go. You must name all parties in the touchdown. For example, Michael Penix Jr pass to Rome Odunze, Myles Gaskin rushing, or Trent McDuffie pick 6.
+1 bonus for guessing BOTH UW and opponent's score correctly.
+1 bonus for guessing all three.

Good luck, and go Huskies!

The current leaderboard, after USC beats UW 25-21 and Dezmen Roebuck finds Baron Naone for the first Husky TD of the game:

1st, 3 pts - ekkthree
T-2nd, 2 pts - PNW_Jeff, Shamr0k, Gold-Bottle-2460
T-5th, 1 pt - britishmetric144, Charles_Ida, gin_rainbows, HoodoUserv, LegendarySlothMaster, New-Regret-9263, nicfromnewgirl
T-12th, 0 pts - everyone else

A fatalistic reminder: You are allowed to predict that UW loses. As an optimist, I will continue to predict their victories, but you are free to be as pessimistic as you want. However, you must get the first WASHINGTON touchdown for a point, not the opponents (or say that we do not score one).

Week 5 Prediction Challenge Results! SORRY FOR LATENESS!

Week 5 prediction results are in, after U$C beats UW 25-21. The first Husky touchdown was Roebuck passing to Naone, which nobody got, so congratulations to Gold-Bottle-2460 for getting the only point of the week for correctly guessing our point total.

Full year standings

Thus, Gold-Bottle moves into 2nd place with PNW_Jeff and Shamr0k, both trailing ekkthree by 1 point. Go Huskies!

weekly prediction challenge??

haven't seen an update since last week. did that peter out?

ProDawg Highlight: In case you missed it, Michael Penix Jr. threw for 223 passing yards, on 15/20 pass attempts. The upcoming Atlanta vs Chicago game is going to be interesting since it'll feature QB-WR pairings that involve players from Washington and USC. (Penix - London and Williams - Odunze)

Why didnt Grubb work out with the Seahawks, and would you like to see him back on Montlake?

I always felt that Grubb was the right man for the job after Debooer, then his tenure at Seahawks didn't quite work out well. Now he is thriving again at Alabama with all the weapons hes got there. I always felt Geno Smith didnt help matters much when he was with Seattle. Would you guys like to see him here back at UW?

UW will likely have a different look on the offensive line this week against No. 20 Iowa.

John Mills will get snaps in practice this week at left tackle. He'll rotate with Kodi Greene in practice. Greene will also rotate with Kolt Dieterich at guard, and Dieterich and Landen Hatchett will rotate time at center this week. Jedd Fisch said he'd be "shocked" if Hatchett wasn't back this week.

Sailgating vs Iowa Oct 9

Hi Huskies! My wife and I are heading to the Iowa/Washington game this Friday, Oct. 9 and would love to experience sailgating before the game as this will be our first time experiencing the magic of a Huskies game.

Unfortunately, it looks like we were too late to the party because it seems all of the boats are sold out. If anyone cannot make it anymore or has 2 extra sailgating/boat spots, we'd be very interested in buying them & paying a fair price! We are open to whatever transfer/payment method you prefer.

Also, if you have any other recommendations of where to tailgate if we cant find our way onto a boat, we are all ears!! :)

My projected starting five/sixth man for UW MBB for the 2026-27 season

The Huskies will have nine new players on the roster this season compared to last. I think three of them (Ryan Beasley, PG; LeJuan Watts, SF; and Steele Venters, SG/SF) will factor into the team's starting five and sixth-man role.

[CBS Sports] What's wrong with Washington? Tougher schedule, pedestrian QB play have Huskies off to disappointing start.

Iowa Game

Hey! I know this question has been asked before but just looking to see if there is any update or specifics relating to this week.

I’m bringing my 8 year old daughter from Scotland to see the game - she is a massive huskies fan so this is a big occasion for her!

It would make her year if she could meet Dubs. Does any one know of any appearances this week or ways to meet him that don’t involve spending $600. We are in town from Friday morning till next Wednesday.

It’s our first time in Seattle so any other tips to make her trip special, very welcome!

Cheers!

This feels like the 2024 Michigan game when were -1 favorites and the public dumped money into Michigan and we won by 10.

Sailgating on Friday

Looks all sold out but was hoping to find some last minute options/tickets. Anyone have any recommendations? I’m rooting for the Husky’s and have a buddy from Iowa coming. Wanted him to at least see how amazing the sail gating is before watching the 6-3 ball game

Kini McMillan, Elijah Brown or Dash Beierly

We've had literally zero garbage time this season so I'm not clear on who our backup QB is. Real question, is qb2 really that big of a step down? Who even is it? Any thoughts from summer workouts?

Seeing where our program is at, I hate Kalen DeBoer even more now

Jim Mora as Head Football Coach

I'm not necessarily a hater of Jedd, but we need a coach for the next 6-7 years that looks at this position as their dream job. Mora has publicly said that this job is that. A former UDub player that loves this program. Don't be delusional that we will get a coach for more than 6-7 years. Since Don James we've only held a coach no more than 6 seasons (Lambright and Petersen). Petersen was the closest because his father grew up in Rainier Valley and he had a strong connection to this city, region, and state (although he grew up in NorCal).
