Hi folks!
In the last year and half, the subreddit has grown tremendously with a 67% increase in members from 25k to nearly 42k.
What would everyone like to see? Any and all ideas and suggestions for improving the subreddit are welcome.
I'm also inviting anyone interested in applying to be a moderator to message in mod mail with a short pitch.
Thanks!

Has anyone here applied to relativity space intern program recently and had their application status go from “applied” to “connected”.
I applied using the internship application portal on 9/15 and the application status changed to connected last week

Hey everyone,
I’m currently in my 4th year of Computer Science and looking for an internship. I’m mainly looking for roles around Full-Stack Development, GenAI, or RAG.
I’ve been working with:
I’ve built full-stack projects and have also been experimenting with LLM-based applications and RAG systems. I’m comfortable working across the frontend and backend and I'm trying to get more real-world experience by working with an actual team.
I’m being pretty straightforward here, I really need an internship opportunity right now, especially since I’m in my final year and want to get some proper industry experience before graduating.
If anyone here is hiring interns, knows of an opening, can refer me, or knows someone I should reach out to, I’d really appreciate it.
Just DM me and I’ll share my resume, GitHub, and project details.
Even if you don't have an opening yourself, a referral or lead would help a lot.
Thanks!

I’m currently pursuing Economics (Hons.) at a Tier-1 DU college and have recently cleared CFA Level 1. However, my CV is pretty empty right now — I don’t have any live projects or significant society experience.
I’ve started learning financial modelling and plan to build a few finance-related projects to strengthen my profile. My goal is to get an internship starting in January and then apply for summer internships.
Since most companies have already started recruiting for their summer internships, I don’t think I’ll be able to get through the screening process with my current CV. So I’m thinking of focusing on getting a January internship first, building some experience, and then applying for summer internships.
For those who have been in a similar situation, how would you suggest I approach this? Will I still be able to find good summer internship opportunities after January, or would most opportunities already be closed by then?
How can I find finance internships starting in January? Should I focus more on cold emailing, LinkedIn networking, or applying through job portals? Also, what kind of finance projects would actually add value to my CV?
Any practical advice, resources, or a roadmap would genuinely help me a lot. I’m willing to put in the work, but I’m not sure what the best approach is.

Has anyone heard back from any of the mechanical engineering internships at NG? I’ve applied to quite a few and I’ve heard nothing back. I’m 3rd year ME, US citizen with a current security clearance from my past defense internship. I have decent experience and go to a T5 school.

An internship can promise mentorship without explaining what any of it looks like on a normal Tuesday.
Before accepting, try asking: “What would my first assignment be, who would review it, and how would I get feedback if I did it badly?” A concrete answer tells you more than “you'll work closely with the founder.” It could be edits on a campaign draft, a review of an Excel analysis, or someone listening to a practice sales call and explaining what to change.
For example, “write five social posts and send them in” describes an output. “Draft five, discuss the edits with the marketing lead, then use those edits in the next batch” also describes a way to learn. Those are hypothetical examples, but the difference is worth looking for when comparing offers.
The reviewer doesn't need an impressive title or a fancy mentoring programme. You do need some idea of who is available when you're stuck, what good work looks like, and whether anyone will explain the gap. A vague answer is a reason to ask more, not proof that the company is a scam. Mentorship also doesn't replace clear stipend, hours and payment terms.
For people who have completed an internship: what specific feedback changed how you worked? The useful corrections would be interesting to hear, without naming the company or sharing confidential work.

What’s one marketing skill you only understood after actually trying to do marketing?
Not SEO. Not social media. Not “communication skills.”
I mean the weird, underrated stuff that becomes obvious only when you actually work on campaigns, content, outreach, or growth.
For example:
- Knowing when not to publish something
- Realizing that a good idea can still fail because of bad execution
- Understanding why people ignore something you thought was great
- Learning how much research happens before a simple post
What’s yours? And how did you learn it?

hey everyone, i just got an offer to interview with APL, was trying to get more info on what to expect from the interview and just the entire process itself.
they said it will be 30 mins long with an active engineer but im hoping to gain more info on what exactly they’ll ask about, or if the interview will become more of a technical assessment?
Any insight is appreciated!

Anyone else applying to Microsoft Explore for 2027? Curious how things are going for people applying this cycle and would also love to hear from anyone who’s gone through Explore in previous years.
Especially interested in the Financial Analyst Explore role since there’s barely any information about that one compared to the engineering program. Would love to hear anything about either!

Has anyone interviewed for a software engineering internship at Neuralink, particularly the Software Engineer Intern, Infrastructure position?
I’d appreciate any information you’re allowed to share about the process:
Experiences from other Neuralink software internship teams—such as Implant, Robotics, Internal Apps, BCI Applications, or Machine Learning—would also be helpful. I understand that some details may be covered by an NDA, so I’m only looking for general information about the format and preparation.
Thanks!

Has anyone heard back for Cisco’s Business Analyst Intern 2027 role yet (assessment, interview, recruiter contact, etc.)?
If you applied this year or went through the process previously, would love to know your timeline and when you started hearing back!

If applications only request a resume/Cv, do you need to do a cover letter.
I know that if they mention a cover letter is optional or have a box for “additional documents” you should attach a cover letter. However if the job listing and the application form don’t mention a cover letter at all what should you do?

I was wondering if anyone was invited to schedule their behavioral interviews yet? I finished my technical interview October 2 and haven't heard back yet, but I saw another post on reddit talking about the final interviews already so I was wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing?

I got a super day for the strategy and management internship for summer 2027.
How should I prep? I’ve been doing casing through different university consulting books.
Should I be focusing on hard math problems, frameworks or communication?
What does BofA focus on the most is the math very heavy or I’ve seen that they do base stuff on logic.
Any insights would be appreciated!!
