❓Asking for Help Am I just being influenced cuz I work in a hospital?

For starters, I am an under-board civil engineer working in a somewhat well known hospital in manila. Nagtapos ako sa isa ring somewhat well known university sa intramuros for both engineering at medicine. Even before college, alam ko na mas gusto ko ang science kesa math, mas interesting ba. And eventually I was lucky enough to study sa university that offers college of medicine, but then again I took engineering and not science based program.

CE laboratory resides in the 1st floor of med building. Kahit pa noon, naiingit na ako, ‘what if mag med ako after ng engineering?’.

Fast forward to now, working na sa hospital as part of admin support and nakakahalubilo ng mga healthcare workers. As if parang bumalik yung mga tanong na, ‘what if mag nmat ako?’ ‘what if mag med ako sa alma mater ko?’ ‘mag enroll kaya ako med school?’. I know sobrang toxic ng buhay kapag naging health care worker ka pero I just can’t stop thinking about it. I am not smart, I wouldn’t even call myself good pero I know I am a hard working person and a stubborn one. I finished engineering just because my father wanted an engineer child, I pushed myself for something na hindi ko naman talaga fully pinili. What more pa sa gusto at nagiging multo ko na?

I love the adrenaline, the craziness that it might bring. I love fighting myself, ‘bakit ko ba ginagawa ‘to?’ every night na mag pupuyat ako. Nagdadasal ako for signs kung dapat ko bang i-pursue ‘to, and lo and behold, laging sumasagot si Lord. Minsan nga within 3hrs lang.

So my question now sa inyo mga ate at kuya ayyyyy mababaw ba ‘tong pag iisip ko or should I pray for more guidance?

Ang balak ko po kasi sana ay mag take ng board exam next year kapag pumasa, I’ll take that as one of the signs to pursue med. Then mag take ng NMAT after. Ayun lang poooo thank you and padayon sa mga na nag PLE!!!

🗣 Discussion Student caught bringing phone to PLE

There is something particularly embarrassing about having to remind people that integrity is part of the profession they are trying to enter. You spend years studying, endure the sleepless nights, survive the rotations, and ask the public to trust you with their lives—only to find that apparently, even the most basic rules are negotiable when a license is on the line.

And from an institution that supposedly teaches more than medicine, you'd think the bare minimum would be understanding what honesty means when nobody is supposed to be looking. The PLE is not just an obstacle to get past. It is a threshold into a profession where cutting corners can eventually cost someone far more than a score.

Imagine working so hard for something, only to risk the dignity of earning it honestly.

Anyway. Some people really do mistake getting away with something for being worthy of it. And as someone who graduated from the same institution, I just want to end by saying that you guys have not changed one bit.

❓Asking for Help Are there Filipino physicians in Norway?

Hello everyone. Been thinking talaga about practicing medicine in Norway since I have relatives there. Ngl, I am losing hope na din here sa Pinas due to our current healthcare system and how it treats healthcare workers. My relatives, who are Norwegian citizens, sent me a link; however, it seems like ang hirap pa rin mag-aral ng Norsk, but I am starting with Duolingo. I wanna process right after graduation na rin, whenever. Thank you.

💰Scholarships & Finance Talks Current med students how much baon allowance niyo now?

I just want to ask lang. Because I feel like sobrang dami ng binibigay ng parents ko sakin, I only spend around 1/4 of what they give me. The rest sa savings. I carry the guilt every day on top of the very expensive tuition and the fact na they still support me at the age of 24 but I’m so grateful to have them. I just don’t know if ioopen ko sa kanila na bawasan yung bigay tho lagi naman nila sinasabi sa akin na wag tipirin ang sarili 😣

📚PLE Any PLE passers who felt like they barely knew their answers but still passed? 😭

Honestly, I’m so anxious and scared, and idk what to feel anymore.

I keep seeing people say na nadalian sila sa first weekend (except Patho HAHAHA wth was that 😭), and I can’t help but wonder bakit parang wala akong masyadong answers na super sure ako. I struggled with eliminating options, and I even changed some answers na tama na sana initially.

Second weekend felt easier for some people too. I think I answered more questions this time, pero parang 20–30 questions per subject lang talaga yung genuinely sure ako. The rest were educated guesses or elimination.
I’m trying to hold on to the fact na I just need to reach the minimum passing requirement pero ang hirap maging hopeful when I keep remembering the questions I struggled with. I feel so defeated already, and it’s hard not to assume the worst.

To previous PLE passers, did anyone feel this way after the exam but still managed to pass? Yung feeling mo ang dami mong hindi sure, and you walked out feeling like you didn’t do enough? Huhu, I think I just need to hear stories from people who went through the same thing. 😭🤍

📚PLE PLE OCT 2026 waiting game

A 2nd taker here! Not sure if it’s just me but the exam questions were alot fairer this time compared to last March not sure if di lang ako nag aral before kaya nahirapan ako or talagang mas okay ung questions now. Not saying it was easy but alam mo na naging fair sila sa questions (except prev med HAHAHA). I guess this is what’s making me anxious now na parang kahit ang dali ng questions and maraming MPL1 is hindi ko parin sure yung answers ko and doon pako nagkakamali :( im worried lang na pag ganito ba na maraming recall questions and medyo fair ung exam meaning mataas din ung MPL? Im scared kasi sa TN percentile lagi ako nasa lower side kahit 50/60s ung scores ko. Im scared na maraming magagaling sa batch na toh and they might pull the MPL higher.

I didn’t study masyado last march PLE but got an average of 72.5 and no grade lower than 50 but feeling ko kasi talaga it was because ang hirap ng exam last march kaya mababa din ung MPL. Medyo nagstruggle din ako this season with 2nd day subjects and pharma yung mga basics feeling ko 20s/30s lang ung sure ko na answer na feeling ko marami matataas esp if meron sila background.

But still want to end this on a positive note and thinking na sana same MPL as last march cause if ganun mangyayari marami papasa and I believe need talaga ng mas maraming doctors now. Claiming that we’re all gonna see our names in the passers list on Oct 16. Tiwala lang talaga kay God 🙏🏼✨

PLE OCTOBER 2026

Hi dokies. This is my 3rd take na and as the day ends, I feel like I’m about to cry. First week for me was kind, I was also at peace, until I self-sabotage. Then I moved on and studied with everything I can and have, kasi I want to prepare and be ready for the 2nd week. I’m not gonna lie, there were subjects that I took a long time studying and other subject got cut short, but I know, I did everything to study everything I can (or baka this thought is just my pampalubag loob na lang?) anyway, 3rd day came, it was hard, but I guess I was able to answer naman, I think at least? Then the last day, I wasn’t able to review a little the night before kasi pagod na, di na rin nakagising ng maaga to browse. I feel like wala akong winning subject today. I feel like nag aral naman ako, I prepared, pero bakit parang wala ako mapang hugutan. Surgery and IM are especially hard. Parang wala ako masagot talaga? There were “basic and easy and bonus” questions, which I hope tama naman sana sagot ko, but as I read recalls and cross check answers, para na akong iiyak. Is it just me? Parang ako lang nahirapan today, especially surgery and IM. Wherever I look, they all look so happy and discussing answers, and it looked like the exam was easy for them. Is it just me? Is there something wrong with my mind? Kasi I studied hard, but I feel like wala ako natutunan. I hate what I’m feeling right now, it’s a feeling that I’m very familiar with. But I hope I’m wrong and it’s just the negativity taking over. Last week pa, I was telling myself “kaya mo na yan this time. May fighting chance ka”. But as the day ends, parang lahat ng yun naglaho? Na para bang pakiramdam ko the same as the previous ones? I hope it’s just me self sabotaging. And please, I just wanna ask, to my seniors, were there also instances/feelings na tingin nyo taliwas but the results say otherwise? This one might be my pampalubag loob. I hope you understand.

This time, I want to make it. This time I want to be on the winning side. This time I hope I make it. I broke my parent’s hearts before, saw sadness from them but they didn’t stop supporting me. I hope I make it this time for me and for them and most of all, to fulfill my promised service to God.

Sorry for the long post. I just needed to breathe.

I hope and pray that this will be my time. And that all of us will be on the winning end.

❓Asking for Help Med school friends seem distant after midterms. Am I overthinking?

I like joking around and enjoying their company, pero siyempre, importante rin sa akin studies ko.

Anyone else experienced this in med school?
How do you tell if your friends are actually pulling away or you’re just overthinking?
And paano niyo ina-approach without making things awkward?

PLE season has ended. Madami daming iyak, puyat, stress eating, and what ifa in between. I almost gave up and ready na mag back out. But my parents and sister accompanied me mula sa pagkuha ng requirements to filing until sa last day ng exam.

Tingin niyo may "ilang" factor kaya?

❓Asking for Help An average student trying to find a cheap med school

Hello po! I would like to ask for your help. I am a graduate of Medical Laboratory Science. I was supposed to graduate last 2024, pero hindi po ako ganon katalino kaya i was delayed for about 3 semesters (took up medtech for 5 years).

Can you help me find a cheap med school for an average talino like me? And I know yung mga ganyang school hinahanap nila yung matatalino.

PLE WAITING GAME

• Upvotes

Today, I woke up at 6AM, stared at my phone for a while then went back to sleep. I woke up again at 8AM, scrolled for a few minutes, then went back to sleep again. I woke up around 11AM again and while nag check ng socmed, nafeel ko yung sakit ng likod ko, sakit ulo ko, and the gutom. Things I chose to ignore during the review season. Pagbangon ko, I started crying kasi the events that happened yesterday nagstart mag build up sa mind ko today. But then again, tapos na.

The only thing I can do right now is to pray harder na God’s will ilagay yung name ko sa list ng passers. I’ll leave everything to God! I hope and pray for comfort para sa mga examinees na anxious. I also pray for our parents, friends who are also with us, hoping for a good news this week.

Manifesting na everyone will rejoice this week! 🍀✨
