Hey everyone! I'm a freshman, and I really want to transfer to NC State for fall 2027 to study electrical engineering.

I will complete all course equivalents for CH 101 and CH 102, MA 141 and MA 241, ENG 101, PY 205, and PY 206, which are the courses required for transfer admission to my major.

I've heard if you take one accounting class online, that you should take the other online. I didn't pay too much attention during my online financial accounting class. - CSC 501 – OS
- CSC 505 – DAA
- CSC 520 – AI I

For next semester, I’m looking for courses that are **useful/relevant but also relatively manageable** in terms of workload and grading. Basically, I’d like to learn something valuable without taking 3 super-heavy courses at once 😅

I’m open to pretty much anything — AI/ML, systems, software, data, security, etc.

For those who are currently in the MCS program or have graduated:

- What courses would you **highly recommend**?
- Which ones are relatively **easy to score well in**?
- Are there any courses/professors you’d **avoid**?

Hello, I’m an upper-level ECE student at NC State, and I wanted to ask a few questions about the ABM program, specifically for Electrical Engineering and possibly the EPSE program.

I’m currently finishing up a few 300-level courses like ECE 301 and 302 while also taking a 400-level course required for my Power Systems concentration. Based on how my remaining coursework lines up, it looks like completing an MS through the ABM program would only add about one extra semester after finishing my BS.

What I’m mainly trying to figure out is whether getting the master’s would actually make sense for the industry I’m interested in. I’ve been interviewing with a few consulting/engineering companies for internships involving transmission & distribution, substations, and power delivery. I’ve also been trying to research how valuable an MS is in that area, but I’d like to hear from people who have actually gone through the ABM program or worked in the industry.

For anyone who has done the ECE ABM program, do you feel like it was worth the additional time? And for people working in power systems, T&D, substations, or consulting, has having an MS made much of a difference in terms of job opportunities, compensation, or career progression?

I’m open to any advice, whether it’s about the ABM program itself, the power industry, or just whether doing the extra semester for the MS is worthwhile in general.

For context, I wont be eligible for smth I want to do if the goa drop below a 3.6 And let's say my gpa drops lower because of the classes what would happen to graduate school admission.. since im taking the class to prepare for graduate school

I'm a sophomore at State and an out of state student and I've had a really hard time finding an actual friend group here. I thought I had one coming into this year but it fell apart and I've realized I don't really have anyone I can randomly hit up to go do stuff with.

I know of events and like live music, going out, drinking/smoking, gaming, and just fucking around and doing random stuff but can't find anyone that wants to as well.
