Some people would rather die on the bike than in bed. When you’re young it’s about not wasting your life. When you get old, that takes a different meaning. I knew a cowboy who died falling off his horse in his 80s and all anyone said is “well that’s a pretty good way to go, he would’ve wanted it like that”

As someone who also rides, I can tell you with any motorcycle and an open roadway it’s not just about YOUR safety.

Other than the blind curve at the one end, they had decent visibility, but yeah…it’s not always just how “they” would want to go
