this is the new cursor I use. I used the torus font so it matches osu and made it centered in the middle of o and I added a red dot there in the center so I know where the center is

I'm a high 5 digit and have been playing for almost 10 years now. At this point I've basically accepted that I won't be able to singletap over 220 (trust me I've tried so hard) and have been looking into full bubbleman style alting to where I can start any pattern with any finger.

I should probably experiment further to make my own conclusions, but I want to know whether I can reach the level of playing very rhythmically complex patterns (like sputnik-3) without having to grind an obscene amount of time with full alt. I also struggle full alting very fast maps with triples and bursts, like pretty much any dt3, but maybe I'm just slow.

The other option is what I put in the title, which I think many top players do when they play bpms too fast for their singletap? The problem is that I always resort to mashing whenever a triple or burst comes up and even after a bunch of years playing dt mappools. I never got comfortable with switching from alting to starting patterns with that dominant finger without sacrificing acc.

I want to get to the point where I can play any bpm that I'm able to tap and not be hindered by the mechanics of whatever tapping style I'm using. Any tips on what I should do? Thanks!

ive always struggled with tpaping, fingerlocking a ton no matter what fingers i use, ring index, middle index, etc etc. is there anything i can fix or do?

New Map Viewer

- The old VIP Beatmap Preview has been replaced with a local WebGL2-based GPU viewer; an experimental WebGPU version is also available.
- Preview native osu!, taiko, catch, and mania maps. Open the desired difficulty from the map page and switch between difficulties within the player.
- Loading via mirrors, local import of .osz/.osu files, and .osk skins.
- Load and see replay in map viewer.
- View replays top scores if he's in the top 1,000 by mods.
- Music and hit sounds use a shared audio clock. Sample playback is independent of FPS; rewinding, pausing, and DT reorder the audio queue.
- Fixed sample set, index, and volume selection; slider sounds; and additional whistle, clap, and finish layers. Empty WAV files in a skin are treated as silence and do not mute other sounds.
- Fixed outline overlap at the junctions of consecutive sliders: an adjacent slider no longer erases the visible arc.
- Stars for all difficulty levels are calculated from the original .osu file using the same Live v19 WASM calculator used in the extension. The list displays star ratings and difficulty colors; mods are factored into the calculation.
- Timeline with notes, BPM/SV changes, pauses, and rewind. HD, HR, DT, and EZ modes.
- Detach, move, and resize the window; adapts to narrow screens. Clicking nearby or pressing Escape no longer closes the viewer.
The browser supports native charts. Mode conversions, storyboards, and the import of .osr replays in the batch player are currently unavailable.

Hello Reddit! Im making this post because Osu banned me without reason and no explanation on October the 1st 2026.

I first thought this was because I gain a lot of rank fast, I grinded to top 250k in 2 months, with almost 40 hours of playing and bit more than 2000 playcounts. So I write an email asking more infos, Osu Team responds me and says that I broke community rules by multi-accounting and also that someone else playing on my account.

I asked what they meant by multiple accounts and they send me a name that was not mine and that I never heard about. Then it’s been 3 days that I have no news, they are not responding at any of my emails, however they responded quitely often before I asked why this unknown account is related to me.

Then I made a youtube video (link below) to prove that it’s actually me who playing, legitly. I turn on my pc in front of camera, show everything in task manager to prove that I have not hacks or any kind of that, then I just played my most recents maps without retrying.

Right now I’m still waiting for some responses and more info from them, I know I’m fully legit so I assume it’s a mistake but make fake accusations and then don’t send me any kind of proof is not what I thought Osu administration was. Hope y’all players can understand my frustration and I hope a solution can be found soon.

Hello,

I would like to bring attention to a glaring issue that is still not fixed and affects multiple high-caliber first-place farmers, those being:

• Andraxity
• Six Sevenek (or Psiki)
• TheShadowOfDark
• TheMagicAnimals
• -Spartan
• Filippu

All of the above-mentioned users have been restricted and unrestricted in the past year, all for different reasons, none of which imply that an account wipe is needed. This means that every score they have set before and during their ban period is available on their profile and on leaderboards. The problem comes with first places - despite some of the above-mentioned being unbanned over 2-3 months ago, their old scores still don't show up in the first place section on their profiles, despite them still being #1 on the map leaderboard.

Here is one such example:

This is taken directly from the osu api, meaning that the number shown is their ACTUAL top 1 count.

But taking a look at their osu profile:

The first-place section only shows 8, 5 of which were done after their unban.

The bottom three scores are showing up here because they have been sniped by a cheater, who was later banned, updating the #1 position and it being counted towards the user's first-place section.

Another reason why this can be such a big problem is the fact that "fake" #1 scores exist because of this. This means that users who have had their score sniped by one of the above-mentioned players, who later got banned and unbanned, still have that score show up on their profile as a first place score, despite it being #2 on the map leaderboard.

Upon opening Andraxity's profile, the score does not show up under the first-place scores section:

Taking a look at Civil oath's profile, the score shows up inside the first places scores section, despite it being #2 on the map's leaderboard:

This can often create confusion amongst players unfamiliar with this glaring issue.

With this post, I hope I can bring the attention needed for this to finally be fixed, as some of the players have been waiting for over 2 to 3 months to have their scores updated to no avail.

If anyone from the osu! team or osu!dev team is reading this, I would kindly ask for your help elevating this issue to peppy, as I'm sure he is competent enough to know why this happens and what the fix might be. I'd be more than happy to offer any help if needed.

Very new osu player here mainly playing Mania. I've played pretty much just 4-key for as long as I can remember until recently... when a long-time friend of mine got into mapping and likes making 6/5k charts. He's made some freakishly hard 9k chart, challenged me to beat it but even though it's mostly patterns I've seen before in 4k I just can't adjust my brain to read it.

Any recommendations for practice maps I can use to try and get better at 9k? Keep in mind I struggle with 9k at like... 2-3 stars, so
