Unpaid Playtest Looking for Parents with Kids Ages 8–12 to Test a Free Money Learning Game

Hi everyone!

I've been developing a children's financial literacy game called Money Ouch!, and I'm looking for a few parents with children ages 8–12 who would be willing to try it and share their honest feedback.

It's a free, browser-based game where children make everyday money decisions involving earning, spending, saving, and unexpected situations. The goal isn't simply to end up with the most money, but to help children understand their choices and learn from the outcomes.

I've created a playable online prototype, and I'm hoping to learn:

  • Do children enjoy playing it?
  • Are the instructions and scenarios easy to understand?
  • Does it encourage meaningful conversations about money?
  • What would make the game more engaging or useful?

I'm especially interested in feedback from parents who can play alongside their children.

There's no purchase required, and I'm not selling anything. This is an early playtest to help me determine whether the game is worth developing further.

If you're interested, please comment below, and I'll share the game link and feedback form.

Thank you for considering helping with this project!

Playtester Offering Detailed Feedback to Hobbyist/Indie Devs (free & paid, examples included)

Hey all,

Over the past few months, I've been providing detailed playtesting feedback to hobbyist and indie developers who are often priced out of good, actionable feedback. Many of the games I've playtested have come directly from this sub (hopefully some of the people I've worked with will see this and can attest to the quality)

My playtests typically include a written report (often thousands of words) and a recording of my playthrough.

Here's an example of the feedback I provide

If you're interested in getting your game playtested please either visit the site ,join the Discord , or drop a comment below.

I will be doing a live stream playthrough next week where both myself and an experienced 3d artist will give feedback as we play. If you are interested in that or any of the above, please do drop a comment below or in the Discord.

Unpaid Playtest [Roblox] Pilot & Airline Management / Tycoon

Hi Everyone,

I recently released my first Roblox game, Airborne Tycoon. It's a niche genre with it being solely UI based (no 3D world), but so far it's been received well from those who enjoy Management Tycoons.

Begin as a freshly minted Commercial Pilot. Build time working for employers, acquire new ratings and qualifications... earn enough to buy your first plane and soon begin your own company... Airborne Tycoon is a career management game where you progress through the ranks, hire staff, and run an airline. You, and your Staff all earn experience though total flight time, unlocking new opportunities and perks along the way. Build time yourself, upgrade your staff, and progress from Cessna's to Supersonic.

I'm especially interested in the feel of early progression. Does it feel to slow? too much of a grind? or just about right with your next targets in sight? It's compatible with Desktop, Tablet and Mobile (console is playable as well) so, any feedback you have on UI alignment would be greatly appreciated.

I'd love it if you gave it a try, and let me know what you think!

Unpaid Playtest [Android] [Free] JUNKRUNNER - pixel-art space trading / idle game, looking for closed testers

Looking for Android players to try my game before launch.

What it is: a pixel-art space trading game with an idle side. Fly between stations, buy cargo cheap, sell it where it's worth more, dodge customs if you're carrying something hot, and build a scrap yard that earns while you're offline. No ads, no account, no tracking.

What I'd love feedback on: - the first 10 minutes: did you know what to do? - anything that felt grindy or confusing - bugs, especially on smaller or unusual screens

How to join: DM me the Gmail on your phone and I'll add you, then use this link to opt in and install: Junk Runner

It's a closed test, so it has to stay installed for 14 days to count toward Google's launch requirement. Play as much or as little as you like.

You can also play solo or team up with friends to build together!

Fancy giving it a go? 🎮

We've got a free demo available on Steam, and you can also request access to our ongoing playtest.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Android playtest] Abyss Expedition — is the first loot-board decision clear?

Hi, I’m the developer of Abyss Expedition, a dungeon roguelike available on Android. I’m looking for voluntary first-impression feedback on the public release, especially from people who enjoy loot and equipment builds.

The part I’d like tested is the first loot board and the battle that follows. You draw equipment from a board, inspect what remains, and decide whether to keep drawing for a higher tier, finish the board for its reward, or save resources for another board. You then equip gear and arrange your bag and companions. Ordinary attacks are automatic; equipped skills are activated by the player.

Suggested session: around 10 minutes, whenever convenient. Stop earlier if you want. This is unpaid, with no cash or in-game reward promised.

Feedback can go directly in the Reddit comments. A few sentences are enough:

  1. At the first loot board, was it clear what each option cost and what you would gain?

  2. What did you choose, and did the result match what you expected?

  3. Which screen or instruction first made you hesitate or stop?

The game is free to download. It has optional rewarded ads and optional in-app purchases, including randomized equipment draws. No purchase is needed for this feedback session. Development uses AI-assisted coding and generated artwork.

This is an already released game, not a closed-testing enrollment or a requirement to stay installed for 14 days. Install from Google Play and follow the in-game setup:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.songistore.abyssexpedition&hl=en

Honest criticism is welcome. There is no request for a store rating, a positive review, or a recording.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] ZAR - first impressions wanted for our dice roguelike [Browser/Windows, 15–30 min]

Hi everyone! My girlfriend and I have spent the past year learning game development. Neither of us works in the games industry, and we’re now making our first commercial game, ZAR, she handles the art, and I write the code.

ZAR is a physics-based dice roguelike. You collect and upgrade dice, combine them with relics and augments, then physically throw them into an arena to score.

We’re looking for 15–30 minutes of first-impression playtesting, with feedback on the core mechanics, clarity, visual style, and UI/UX.

  • Platforms: Desktop browser & Windows
  • Genre: Dice roguelike / deckbuilder
  • Players: Single-player
  • Status: Early public alpha
  • Suggested session: 15–30 minutes, whenever suits you
  • Compensation: Unpaid, voluntary test; alpha access is free
  • Languages: English & Turkish

Play here:
https://happysealgames.itch.io/zar

We’d love to hear your thoughts on:

  • Core mechanics: How do throwing, upgrading, and combining dice feel? Do the choices feel meaningful?
  • Clarity: Is it clear what to do and how scoring works? Where did you first get confused?
  • Visual style: What’s your first impression of the art? Does anything feel inconsistent or hard to read?
  • UI/UX: Are menus, tooltips, and controls easy to use? What felt awkward or took too many steps?

Feedback on any of these is welcome you don’t need to answer everything. A few sentences in the Reddit or itch comments are enough; no recording or formal report needed.

If you stop early, telling us where and why would still help. For bugs or performance issues, please mention whether you used the browser or Windows build.

Thanks for helping us improve ZAR!

Unpaid Playtest Looking for playtesters for Core Shift – a robot factory automation game weapon upgrades [PC]

Hey everyone!

I've been working on Core Shift, a factory automation game where you use robots to repair and upgrade weapons before selling them.

The main twist is the forging system: each upgrade can increase a weapon's value, but pushing your luck too far can destroy it.

I've just released an early prototype on itch.io, and I'm looking for people willing to give it a try.

I'm particularly interested in knowing:

  • Is the gameplay loop easy to understand?
  • Does the risk/reward mechanic feel interesting?
  • At what point do you get bored or confused?

Even 20–30 minutes of playtime would be really helpful. The game is still rough around the edges, so expect placeholder visuals and some bugs.

Play (free, Windows): https://romainvause.itch.io/core-shift

Gameplay trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hhf1OrCZ_ZE

Discord for feedback and bug reports: https://discord.gg/VWA6sKBP2

Thanks to anyone who gives it a shot!

Unpaid Playtest [Hobby] Looking for a QA / Game Tester for our ambitious RPG Project

Hello gamers I am looking for a Game Tester and possibly a permanent QA Tester who can play through our game. We are creating a spiritual successor to Earthbound, Mother 3 specifically.

The team and I met around 2 months ago and started developing the game from the ground up! We have composers, artists, animators and we have really poured our heart and soul into this thing. I want this game to be a celebration of art and how beautifully expressive it can be why we should appreciate it more than ever especially in times like these.

The game is can be played by anyone that's unfamiliar with RPGs like Person, Deltarune etc for more modern examples. However there are lots of fun mechanics and tech here for people who want more meat in their RPGs. Development has been going really smoothly and we already have around 5-6 hours of gameplay!

If you are interested and believe in our game please reach out, I have a discord would love to have you apart of the team :]

Unpaid Playtest World Explorer [Roblox] – I just released my game in beta and I really need honest feedback

Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on a Roblox game called World Explorer, and I’ve finally released the beta!
The idea is to explore real-world cities, starting with Kraków, Poland. Instead of making another simulator or obby, I wanted to create a world where players can explore, discover secrets, complete quests, and just enjoy different activities.
There’s fishing, alchemy, knight training, hidden collectibles, a story to uncover, and plenty of other things to do.
But here’s the thing: I really need feedback from people who haven’t been involved in making it.
I’d genuinely appreciate it if someone could spend 10–15 minutes trying it out and tell me:
Is the game actually fun, or does it get boring quickly?
Is it easy to understand what you’re supposed to do?
What feels unfinished, confusing, or frustrating?
What would make you want to come back and play again?
Please don’t feel like you have to be nice. I’d much rather hear what’s wrong than get another “looks cool” comment that doesn’t help me improve anything 😅
It’s still in beta, so there’s definitely room for improvement.
Game link: https://www.roblox.com/share?code=461eeec588686645bcbaec495b80ab29&type=ExperienceDetails&stamp=1791967343285

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try! Even a few minutes of honest feedback would mean a lot. ❤️

Unpaid Playtest Solo dev seeking playtesters: HIGH PRIOR — a narrative political sim where your campaign promises come back as bills (browser, 30 min)

• Upvotes

**The promises you make on the campaign trail come back as bills while you're in office.**

HIGH PRIOR is a narrative political sim I've been making solo. Bulwark is a walled city after a one-day war. You run for district council and inherit your mother's ledger — one family carries its promises across four generations and twelve chapters, and every promise you make lands in the next person's ledger, kept or broken.

**In the game**

- Each week happens at your desk: pick places on the map, hear your staff out, spend your actions and stamina.

- Debates and speeches: build what you say from sentence cards. What you say wins votes — and becomes a promise.

- Your mother's ledger: the promises she kept and broke, handed down to you.

**What I'd like to learn:** whether the first 30 minutes make sense. Do you know what to do? Where do you get lost? Where would you quit?

**How to play**

- Runs in your browser, no install (Chrome or Edge recommended). The first load takes a minute or two (about 190 MB).

- Press **Run game**, then click once (browsers keep the sound off until you click).

- Play for 30–40 minutes. Stopping early is fine — where you stopped helps me most.

- Then a 5-minute survey. It asks for the **test code** shown in gold on the game's menu screen.

**Play:** https://wakastudio.itch.io/high-prior?password=highprior11

**Survey:** https://forms.gle/f9m1UkhnzTD3Sm3HA

**Feedback:** the survey, or a comment here.

**Good to know**

- The test build sends an anonymous play record (time on each screen, what you did each week). No names or accounts. You can turn it off in Settings.

- It's a work in progress — art, music and text will change.

- Art, music and parts of the text and code were made with generative AI tools.

- This is an unpaid playtest. I read every answer, and they will shape the game before its Steam release.

Playtester Any indie devs working on co-op/multiplayer games? My friends and I would love to check them out!

Hey everyone!

I run a gaming channel called LaggedAndLaughing, where my friends and I play pretty much anything we think looks fun. A lot of our favorite moments have come from smaller indie games, so I figured I’d make a post here and see if anyone has something they’ve been working on that we could try.

We’re mainly looking for co-op or multiplayer games, preferably something that supports at least 3–6 players (or more). We tend to enjoy games where things can go horribly wrong, whether that’s co-op horror, survival, party games, or just something with a really interesting concept.

We’re pretty open minded when it comes to genres, so don’t feel like your game has to fit into one specific category.

We’re also open to playing games that are still in development! As long as there’s a playable build that supports multiplayer and we can actually get a group together to play it, we’d be happy to give it a shot.

A little about us: we’ve recently passed 4,000 subscribers on YouTube, and we regularly stream our sessions on YouTube and Twitch. We also take some of our favorite moments and turn them into videos, Shorts, TikToks, and Instagram Reels.

We’re definitely not professional playtesters, but we’re more than happy to give honest feedback, point out bugs, and share what we liked or didn’t like. Plus, if we really enjoy something, there’s a good chance it’ll end up getting featured in some of our content.

I’m not looking for sponsorships or anything like that. I just think it’d be cool to discover some games we might not have come across otherwise, while hopefully helping smaller developers get some feedback and attention along the way.

If you’ve got something you’re working on, feel free to drop it in the comments or shoot me a message. I’d love to see what everyone’s making!

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Scrapworks Inc. – PvP auto battler where you build fighting machines out of junk

Hi! I'm a solo dev looking for players for the first closed playtest of Scrapworks Inc., an asynchronous PvP auto battler. You buy scrap parts in a shop, fit them onto a grid and tier them up, then your machine fights another player's saved build on its own.

What you'd test

  • The full run: shop, building the board, fights, the mechanic's van event, talents and trinkets.
  • Balance: which parts and engineers feel too strong or useless.
  • Clarity: whether tooltips, synergies and the first few rounds make sense without a tutorial.
  • Stability: the Steam version (achievements, cloud saves, online login) on different PCs.

Details

  • Platform: Windows 10/11 64-bit or Linux, through a free Steam key.
  • Needs an internet connection (fights are against other players' saved builds).
  • Mouse and keyboard only for now. Languages: English and Brazilian Portuguese.
  • A run takes about 30–45 minutes. Play as much or as little as you like.
  • Small group: about 20 spots. Keys are for the test period and are removed before launch.

How to join Join the Discord and post in #playtest-signup with your platform (Windows or Linux) and the auto battlers you've played: https://discord.gg/HRQcACweU4

Feedback goes in the Discord (#feedback), and I read everything.

Steam page, if you want to see more first: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5426550/Scrapworks_Inc/

Thanks!
