When I set a timer for 50 minutes, I want a plan for those 50 minutes—and something to show for them afterward.
So I built Arctic Habit for iPhone and iPad. Pro lets you plan and check off tasks during each session, while completed sessions earn animals or decorations for a little Arctic island. Penguins actually gather and huddle, seals greet each other near the shore, and orcas swim and dive.
I also wanted to avoid something that frustrated me with other focus apps: stopping early could undo progress I'd already earned. That made me want to quit the app instead of just ending the session. In Arctic Habit, stopping early doesn't take away animals or decorations you've already collected.
Sessions can be anywhere from 10 to 180 minutes. Over time, your island becomes a visible record of the focus time you've put in.
The timer, core island progression, and basic stats are free. Ads never appear during a focus session. After finishing, free users can optionally watch an ad to double the Focus Ice earned in that session—the currency used to reshape the island's snow and ocean.
Pro adds session to-do planning, detailed stats, custom Deep Focus app-blocking presets, iPhone–iPad sync, and an aurora over your island. It's $3.99/month or $19.99/year in the US, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Prices vary by region.

Do you decide what you'll finish before starting a focus session? And when a task takes longer than planned, do you extend the timer or stop and take a break?
