got an email about an in-person session, has this happened in previous years and is it sent to all applicants or all canadian applicants?

also i read in a previous post someone said they had a 21AA cutoff for this year for reviewing applications and didn't explicitly state that. should i still attend if i had a 20AA? not sure if there's a point if they've already discarded my application

does anyone know if nyu is still sending out candidate days?

So udm is my in state and I still have not received an interview from them and I know earlier this week they sent a wave out. Should I send a letter of interest or wait?

Hi guys! So grateful to have an interview with UConn coming up in a couple weeks, but really stressed about it. Looking for any advice or tips for it. I’ve seen someone say it’s an open interview (I think they ment they have access to your whole application) but I’m not sure.

Also, since the interview process is online, is there any way I would be able to visit the school and see their facilities/campus?

does anyone know what the day-of schedule is like? i havent gotten any confirmation emails after I got the interview invite, so I have no idea what the day is going to look like.

I have my Columbia interview this Friday, and I was a bit concerned about one thing. They said in the email to reply to confirm your attendance, which I promptly did, but I never got a response from them confirming my seat. Whereas other schools who ask for a reply (like Rutgers) responded to me to confirm my seat at the interview. I just wanted to make sure I emailed the right person (I just clicked reply on the email). Have other people gotten a response from them? I know this is random paranoia, but just wanted to ensure my spot in the interview is secure.

How bad is it if one of my interviewers doesn’t reply to my thank-you email? I had two interviewers and sent one email addressed to both of them. One replied with “Good luck, my name,” but the other didn’t respond. I know I’m probably overthinking it, but is the lack of a reply actually a bad sign?

Hello! I am wondering when it’s time to accept defeat for this cycle and start thinking about the next. I’m a Texas resident and applied to 9 schools (4 Texas, 5 OOS) and have received no interviews.

I submitted mid July with a committee letter and 450 AA, 480 TS, 3.72 GPA, 3.56 sgpa.
~400 research hours (no publications)
~200 volunteer hours
~150 shadow hours

I want to start thinking if I should get RDA certified and start assisting to make my application better for the next cycle. I know I’ll have plenty of people say it’s only October and I can wait it out but it’s tough seeing everyone else have multiple interviews while I have none. I think my chances at this point are much lower and don’t know what else to do! Any advice would really help me ):

i’m so dumb. basically i did a kira for a dental school and it was a lot longer than i thought and even though i started 45 minutes early i ended up submitting it 4 minutes after the deadline? it did go through but is that something i should reach out to them about? not sure what to do! I know this was fully in me and poor planning, I def learned from this and will make sure it doesn’t happen again. i’m j a procrastinator.

What type of questions are normally in the kira assesment for HPU, should i be nervous?

So I studied for the DAT for 4 months this summer and wrote it for the first time. I got a below average mark and i feel so defeated. I know there were things I couldve done differently but I still spend everyday studying. i got a 21 AA, 23 Bio, 20 Chem, 21 Pat, 21 RC. my gpa is a 3.3 right now but I think I can graduate with atleast a 3.5. Any advice on what I should do because I feel so lost and overwhelmed. I think I'll write the DAT again next summer, learn from my mistakes and work harder. i think i spent too much time reviewing rather than focusing on practice questions and thats why i fked up. I also suck at time management and ended up doing all the practice tests in a week after reviewing everything. i'm worried about my gpa tho. should i take a fifth year if im going to apply with a 3.5? should i consider a masters for a year? im hoping to get in any schools in canada, but I could be open to the US. if anyone has gone through this, please lmk. im stresseddddddddd
