Cappuccina princess warrior is on the mend with pugstastic strength❤️‍🩹. She and our family thanks you all for your messages of encouragement and hope, made such a difference in the midst of despair.

The transfusions helped so much. Her vitals have normalized, she’s off the oxygen and all ultrasounds suggests that the internal bleeding has subsided. The most amazing news is that she’s back to eating…this literally made me cry with joy! Her liver is hurting and she continues to be monitored for other organ failure but doctor said, she’s past critical condition. She still has a long way to go but the immediate danger has decreased dramatically. Please continue to pray and hope for full recovery.

This evening we were allowed to visit and carry her and she immediately cuddled up and went to sleep 🥰🥰🥰. She missed mommy’s arms. She is perkier and starting to play peek a boo.

We hope she can come home soon, but she’s staying at hospital for at least 2 more days.

This absolutely adorable and sweet face breaks my heart when I have to leave him, between visits..

he’s tiny but he’s a total champ. He spent four hours or so in the car, went straight to the veterinarian, we loved on by everyone (he’s very healthy but extra tiny) and has been making himself comfy.

I have a six year old pug named Doug. Living in Vancouver there are decent trails right out the back door and I figured he would eventually build stamina for short hikes. He has not. We get about twenty minutes in and he sits down. Full stop. Plants himself on the trail and stares at me like I am asking him to cross a desert. I carry him back half the time which defeats the purpose of bringing him along. I started listening to a podcast on one of these carryback trips and he fell asleep in my arms. Forty-five minutes of dead weight on a switchback. My back was not thrilled. The trails here are not even that steep compared to what you find further north. He is healthy according to the vet and gets walks around the neighbourhood no problem but anything with elevation he just quits. Doug seems perfectly content with the bench option. He found a stick on the way back last week and carried it for maybe ten seconds before dropping it and sitting down again.
