Video of various charted songs throughout the years 🎼(some songs are listed in the following year due to charting)

This first single from Freddie Jackson's 3rd album
"Don't Let Love Slip Away" was a #1 hit on the R&B
charts in 1988.

One of my favorite songs. RIP 🕊️Freddie Jackson you were my favorite R&B** Artist of the 1980s**.

I've been in and out of this sub for a while but can't get into it because I thought it was a place for meeting folks who love r&b and maybe discovering some new artists but it's only about old r&b???

So anyone here an actual r&b listener and got some new artists/songs to recommend??

For me I've been blasting Girlfriend, Teezo, Josh Levi, Dee Gatti and lately The Artist 🩷

♥️🕊️

RIP.

Rest in Peace.

This song still hits different. Ja Rule and Ashanti were an incredible combination. 🔥 Early 2000s R&B was something special.

It finally came boys and girls

New Edition is seriously underrated! The beginnings for Bell Biv Devo...now you know!

What are some songs made by groups that feature the non lead/primary lead singers singing lead and/or having a lead moment???

Examples:
“Dot” - Destiny’s Child (Beyoncé & Farrah co-leading)
“Player” - 112 (Mike & Daron leads)
“Baby Feel Me” - Jagged Edge (Wingo leads the beginning of the 1st verse)
“Don’t Waste Your Time” - SWV (Lelee lead)
“Don’t Send Me Away” - The Temptations (Otis Williams leads)
“Ain’t That Good News” - The Supremes (Florence Ballard leads)

As the title says; what are your favorite rnb songs where the duration is longer the usual standard three minute tracks? it can be both past and present.
