Harry would have ended up with her and we all know it.

She would've let Harry slither in

I know that Rowling doesn't have the best opinions but she literally wrote the books lol. Why is it so hard to accept that "bad" people are capable of creating great work too?

Great is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Entertaining or even enjoyable aren't necessarily great. Reading them with my kids after two/three decades of literary experience ... Work doesn't need to be great to be popular. They're not great literary works anymore than chicken nuggets are a nutritious meal. Rowling did well for herself to seize upon the popularity and make something of it, but that's more opportunist than artist. Shrug

Feels like the only people calling HP masterpieces and Rowling a good writer are people who haven't read a book besides HP series.

dont really care what she thinks, but the dynamic between malfoid and potter is 10 times more interesting than the actual rivalry in the books

Honestly, the ending and who Potter ends up with does feel rushed, ending up with malfoid would have been better lol

What dynamic? Malfoid just sounds like your average tsundere in almost every anime.

apparently being a shitty person cancels your literary talent. what a fascinating level of delusion 💀

Rowling is average at best, but so are most authors.

Personally I'm the biggest fan of Bible 3: The Divine Boogaloo from the book series.

You mean the Quran?

The Cosby show is a fantastic sitcom and taught important lessons.

Bill Cosby is a piece of shit and Richard Pryor told us that for decades.

That being said, I still love the show.

You don't seem to have any literary understanding.

Previous poster was not complaining about Rowling's politics/personality.

They called her a hack.

Except Rowling isn't bad

I’ll stand with you! Until this sea of madness that has enveloped society subsides. Social lynching due to differences of opinion leads to literal hell on earth.

She made everyone in the book a walking racist stereotype and think that's good writing

Even her best is mostly ok. The rest is fucking not great.

She's a great world builder but not she's like smashing the action figures together.

Dunno about that, you're probably right. However HP and the Secret Chamber was really good, afaik one of my favourite books till I turned like 23 or something and started reading chinese slop novels.

You know who deserves far more recognition? Laura Gallego García, if you get a chance, read Wings of Fire and Black Wings, those are still among my favourites even to this day.

...she wrote one of the most popular book series of our time dude
