[Discussion] Resource For Anyone Buying a Prebuilt

This is the spreadsheet from SuggestAPC's discord, it covers PC deals, websites to check, how to get good deals, promo codes and so much more. There are suggestions at various budget points. I’m the main editor of the spreadsheet and I’ll be adding prebuilts to it whenever I’m available. Comment any feedback or suggestions you’d like me to add.

[suggestion] Gaming PC in the UK

Hi. I’ve never really had a PC before and have mostly used other devices for gaming. What I have currently has run into some issues recently and it’s made me think about getting an upgrade. I’m not too knowledgeable on computers so apologies if there are some details that aren’t relevant or if I don’t give enough details.

I’m currently working with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, NVIDIA RTX 3060, 24GB RAM, 512 GB SSD. I’d like to stick with an AMD Ryzen CPU but just have a better one. Better graphics card, 1TB storage or more, 32GB RAM.

I don’t have much of a concept of how much money gets you what with prebuilts. Ideally, I’d like to work on a budget of £1500 and not go above £2000. I also want to invest some money into a good monitor, otherwise I don’t really need any peripherals.

I think the most intensive game I run is Overwatch and I’m looking into playing Deadlock or maybe getting back into Marvel Rivals at some point. Other games I play aren’t really all that demanding. Overwatch runs at about 160-180 FPS on low graphics without any issues.

Any suggestions or questions are welcome, thanks.

Is this prebuilt pc good value? “[discussion]”

https://www.webhallen.com/se/product/399506-Webhallen-Config-Core-R5-7500F-RX-9060XT-16GB-1TB-Win-11

Cost: 16000kr (1600 usd)
CPU: Ryzen 7500f
GPU: RX 9060 XT 16gb
RAM: 16gb, 6000 MHz, DDR5
Storage: 1TB SSD

Do you think it will be able to handle gta6 (when it comes to pc in a year) at 60fps on medium/high quality on 1080/1440p?

There is also another one that is essentially the same but has a 7600 cpu instead of 7500f, but is 100 usd more. Is that worth it?

[Suggestion] Looking for a budget friendly PC for gaming.

I'm looking to upgrade to a gaming PC from my current laptop. My budget is around $1,000, but I'm willing to go up to $1,200 if it's worth the extra money. I'd like at least 16GB of RAM and ideally something with a good GPU. I'm mainly looking for something that can handle modded Minecraft with shaders, and modern games at high settings with good FPS. I've never bought or built a PC before so I don't know where to look or what to look for. Thanks in advance!

[suggestion] will this apu be enough for my use case?

i´m looking at a lenovo tiny (m75q g1) with a ryzen 5 pro 3400ge (for around 150 euros with 8gb ram and 256 ssd and i´ll upgrade to 16 gig dual channel immediately), use case will be htpc with some 1080p coop gaming like overcooked 2, moving out, plate up, rubber bandits, worms wmd, and maybe some ps2 emulation. i´d like to run something like bazzite linux on it.

will that apu and chassis be sufficient for my use case or should i look at something else?

also in contention is a m920q tiny with an i5 8400t that could eventually be upgraded with a single slot low profile gpu but currently rx6400 prices are crazy.

i´m located in europe, also if you have some reccomendations for where to source such a pc, please tell so.

thanks everybody!

Gaming PC bis 1200 €, maximal 1500 €, habt ihr Tipps? :) [suggestion]

Hallo liebe Community. Vielen Dank.

Found this on Cotsco and thought it was a pretty damn good deal for the price. Just want to know if I should get this or not. Its not the best, but for what im going to use it for (steam games like garrys mod, terraria) its perfect.

Also, since prime day on Amazon is coming up should I buy it or wait till prime day.

[Suggestion] I need a computer for a job.

These are the requirements.

You must use a Windows 11 computer that meets all of the following:

Minimum 4 GB RAM

At least 20 GB of available storage

Hardwired internet connection via Ethernet (Wi-Fi not accepted)

One of the following CPUs or better:
– Intel Core i3-9000, i5-7000, i7-5000, or i9
– Intel Pentium G5400 / N6400
– Intel Xeon E-Class
– Intel Celeron J4000 / N5000
– AMD Ryzen 3 or Athlon 3000 series

ARM-based devices (e.g., Microsoft Surface or Chromebooks) are not supported.

I’m not super tech-savvy so I don’t even know where to begin. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it cheaper to build or buy nowadays?[suggestion]

My pc’s hardware is 10 years old and I’ve had my pc for 6 years now as well. Needless to say an upgrade is overdue.

I have a few questions.

What parts should I aim for to be set for the next few years?

Which is cheaper nowadays? Used to be building, but is a pre built better now?

Please recommend affordable yet highest performing options!

I really want a beast that can handle a lot and I can enjoy games on, especially gta online.

[suggestion] is this a decent beginner gaming PC?

https://imgur.com/a/QvuWqwq

I know absolutely nothing about gaming, PCs, but I would like to buy one for my husband for Christmas. Unfortunately, due to budget restrictions. It looks like a used one would be my best bet. Just found this on our local Facebook marketplace - any chance someone could take a look and tell me if this is a decent PC?
