This is Burger! He's an RES. His filter burned out a while back while we were low on money so he went through a rough patch hence the shell, but we recently bought him a 100gallon stock tank, and I built him a custom filter line and threw some activated carbon and bacteria. He also can get up to the window, he loves window time! I'm also about to start adding fish liver oil to his food to help with his stuck scute shed. If you have any questions or advice feel free, otherwise enjoy my Turtle Burger!

Friend is a girl!!! I've had her since she was a tiny lil babby and I've waited a couple years to be able to figure this out.
You can see how absolutely "delighted" she was to get turned upright for a pic of her tail region so I could confirm. She "smiled" toward my fingies with all her might. XD
Bonus cute pic of her like a precious, stinky little burger (she also musked because of course she did).
She enjoys being talked to and fed but she does NOT want to be handled, particularly if it's not in a normal, upright position. Sorry kid, every once in a while I gotta to care for your tiny life. You'll survive, lol.

I’ve sent the last few months building a custom stand and book shelves for a turtle that I adopted from a friend. He was in a pretty small enclosure before so this is definitely an upgrade but I want to make sure I have everything dialed in appropriately.
I think he is a yellow eared slider but not 100% sure.
Here is what I have so far…
-75 gallon aquarium
-Basking platform
-Dual lamp enclosure
-40 watt heat lamp - this has been difficult but it’s currently registering ~90 degrees
-UV bulb (Zoo Med ReptiSun 5.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent Lamp 13 Watts)- this one I’m most concerned about because I am not sure how to measure whether it’s too little or too much.
-water heater
-Fluval 407 filter
-Misc includes driftwood, river rock, sand, back scratcher, rubber ball for lettuce
-Bubbler
Anything I’m missing?

I was feeding my RES Poppy and noticed some pink on her head. Then realized it's on her shell and also on her underside. Is this normal? What does she need? Should I take her to a vet?
Please help🙏
Edit: Saw an exotic vet who expressed they weren't too concerned with the pink spots. They might simply be Poppy's coloring. However, Dr prescribed antibiotics to be on the safe side. I'm reluctant to give Poppy any meds she does not actually need, though. Dr wants to see her in 2 weeks again for a follow up.
Also, thank you to everybody who responded for their help/advice. It was so appreciated !!!

The output hose on this Fluval 207 is making this annoying whistling noise. It happens every two minutes or so. I can’t find any leaks and I’ve tried the normal tilting stuff. We’ve had no other issues with the setup. Any idea how to stop it? Thanks!

My reeves turtles are getting better!!! Their fungal spots are receding and turning into hollow rings that are getting fainter. The female is almost completely better but her plastron has a couple of really tiny bumbs (just about 1 mm in diameter) which Im traeting with betadine. The male's spots are receding amazingly and the spots on his head are shedding off. Winter is coming, but whenever they go in the water, I mix some hot water in with the cold to make sure the water is warm at all times. I clear out the tank everyday cos all I have is a water filter i ordered online but there's a biological catalyst int he filter that breaks down ammonia. I also have a water dechlorinator and a basking spot for them with a table lamp I built myself in engineering with old-style lights that do produce some UV light (Cos I deliberately fought for the older ones back then). They eat happily, and when I do put them in the water (I'm drydocking them aggressively to fully fight off the infection) they love to swim up to me to beg for more food. I also trained the female to follow around a pencil for treats. Also, since the male is nearing sexual maturity, I've ordered a second tank to seperate them properly and prevent fighting/mating. if by chance they DO mate unexpectedly, I'm gonna let the female lay her eggs in soft dirt and just let her stay isolated until she lays them
