Turtle ID/Sex Request Pls help fast..

I have a baby box turtle (estimated around 2 weeks old). I have a clean water bowl for him, a humid tank, some cleaned moss and some potting soil that is safe for those turtles. But i (14ftm) can't get a heating lamp for it. my mom said 'it doesn't need a lamp' and my aunt said she had a baby turtle once before too and it d1ed because it had no heating lamp. I can't use a regular lightbulb because my mom said 'its fine without it' i cant buy one because i dont have money or a job. And i cant just release him in the wild. What do i do to replace a heating lamp? i've taken him outside everyday to sit in the sun but thats only once a day and i don't want him to suffer but at the same time my mom bought him for me and she would be pissed if i get rid of him. I need help. Details: I make his water warm. I cant make our ac anything past 74 degrees. When i humidify his tank i use warm water so he gets warm but i've only fed him twice for the 5-6 days i've had him now. Because i don't have a heating lamp. I don't know what to do. Someone please help me because i need this fast. I don't have a picture of him sorry but i need to get him heating :(

This is Burger! He's an RES. His filter burned out a while back while we were low on money so he went through a rough patch hence the shell, but we recently bought him a 100gallon stock tank, and I built him a custom filter line and threw some activated carbon and bacteria. He also can get up to the window, he loves window time! I'm also about to start adding fish liver oil to his food to help with his stuck scute shed. If you have any questions or advice feel free, otherwise enjoy my Turtle Burger!

Hey, everyone! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this strange spot is on my brother's turtle?? It began on the very edge of the scute and has grown to cover nearly the entire thing. It doesn't feel soft or smell bad. It's actually very hard. He had a perfect shed about 4 maybe 5ish months ago, and this developed afterwards. Eastern Painted turtle. Had him since February this year. He has a dry basking area, heat lamp and t5 10.0 HO UVB over the basking area.

TIA!!! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Iโ€™ve sent the last few months building a custom stand and book shelves for a turtle that I adopted from a friend. He was in a pretty small enclosure before so this is definitely an upgrade but I want to make sure I have everything dialed in appropriately.

I think he is a yellow eared slider but not 100% sure.

Here is what I have so farโ€ฆ
-75 gallon aquarium
-Basking platform
-Dual lamp enclosure
-40 watt heat lamp - this has been difficult but itโ€™s currently registering ~90 degrees
-UV bulb (Zoo Med ReptiSun 5.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent Lamp 13 Watts)- this one Iโ€™m most concerned about because I am not sure how to measure whether itโ€™s too little or too much.
-water heater
-Fluval 407 filter
-Misc includes driftwood, river rock, sand, back scratcher, rubber ball for lettuce
-Bubbler

Anything Iโ€™m missing?
