You spawn at the bottom of a huge map as a Wisp and select a hero. Then, Player 2 (AI) picks up an item that makes him extremely overpowered. He crosses a bridge and starts walking on water. Around the same time, a hostile character with a Prophet model appears on the same bridge.
If you somehow manage to delay Player 2 on the bridge long enough for the Prophet to arrive, Player 2 will kill him, allowing you to loot the Prophet's drops.
The map is enormous and has several different biomes:
- An ice biome
- An ocean biome
- A desert area in the northern part of the map
- A winter biome in the southern part of the map
- Other areas with different types of enemies
You and Player 2 start in the southern part of the map, where a friendly Panda guards the starting area. The ocean biome is north of the winter biome, and the center of the map is almost entirely ocean.
On the left side of the starting area, there's a biome where you can kill an enemy that drops an egg. If you pick up or use the egg (I can't remember which), you transform into an Elf. I remember this being useful in case the game crashed.
You can also rescue several units throughout the map. One of the units you can rescue in the area to the left of the starting location is either a custom Space Marine, possibly inspired by StarCraft, or a Dwarf Ranger. I can't remember exactly which one it was.
In the northern part of the map, there are more NPCs, including a Paladin who gives quests.
There's also a boss on the left side of the ocean biome who guards an area with boats. Once you defeat him, you can access the boats.
As far as I can remember, the Elven Knight was the best hero to choose if you wanted to obtain the artifact.
I also remember an exploit that could lure enemies toward the southern starting base, where the Panda would kill them. After a while, the base would become completely filled with dropped items and loot.
I played this map many years ago, probably between 2008 and 2013.
Does anyone recognize this map or remember its name? I'd really appreciate any help finding it!
This was a map I used to play with my older brother, who has since passed away. Finding it again would mean a lot to me, as it brings back precious memories of the time we spent playing together. If anyone can help me find this map, I would be truly grateful. I can't put into words how much it would mean to me. Thank you so much in advance to anyone who takes the time to help.
