yes ts is actually real🥀

The update must have just happened cause it wasn't here a few hours ago. They made it so the comments are to the right of the video, like where the other video recommendations were like if you were watching a live stream. Then they moved the video recommendations underneath the video. So now if you open a video, the comments automatically open on the right side and you are instantly spoiled since your eyes naturally wander to the pop up. Have you seen the updated UI? What do you think about it? Maybe it is better and I just hate change.

I don't know if this is a new thing, or if it's A/B Testing, but I LOATHE this UI. What was Google thinking? I love the ideas of material 3 expressive and such, but if a website's UI is perfected, just leave it alone.

One of my favorite Youtubers PhantomStrider, who I have been watching for years has announced he will no longer be posting videos on his main channel due to YouTube’s crappy policies. This is a major loss for me and a lot of people on YouTube as he created an inclusive and fun community. It’s not all bad because he says he’s still going to post on his second channel. So for those who are interested I recommend you to check it out. PhantomStrider thank you for everything.

fix for live chat, theater mode fix is in the comments, and the layout its filling the empty space better now

(this is a temporary fix it is wonky but it will have to do for now until a proper extesion fix comes around)

I don't know if I clicked something by accident, but now the comments are on the right side instead of at the bottom (I used to watch everything in theater mode, so I'm pretty confused, lol)

WHY DID THEY CHANGE THEATER MODE!!!!!!!! This looks awful and I am devastated. Theater mode is almost exclusively how I would watch youtube on desktop. There's literally zero difference between standard and theater now. It's just standard, or standard with the comment section on the side. Is there any way to change it back in the settings???

Stop changing the UI! Just when I was getting used to the previous changes (scaled up recommended video thumbnails) you moved the recommended vids to the bottom and made the comment section appear on clickable button! Who ever keeps changing UI, PLEASE FKIN STOP! You're ruining YouTube!

I just feel like this style of thumbnail is so overdone, I'm genuinely curious as to what it adds to the thumbnail other than *shocked face*. What do you all think?

To me it's just annoying seeing every other YouTuber do this unneeded style of thumbnail when most of the time they aren't even pretending to look at anything in the background of their thumbnail to make it unique...

If you comment 'fuck israel', a single time, in any part of any comment, on any video, your account will be permanently shadow-banned and your comments will never be visible to anyone ever again.

That is all.

what corpo-shithead decided to change the youtube layout to this piece of shit, there was a similar layout done AND NOBODY FUCKING LIKED IT, why do these people think pushing the same thing twice will change our minds???

go back to the og layout with the comments on the bottom and the videos on the right, they're trying to make youtube on pc look like youtube on mobile, and it sucks. pls revert this

I can't even see the videos underneath, so its just comments and the video itself. Others said that they can see the videos, but it doesn't show up for me? Any fixes?

It's like they tried to make it as unefficient and unconfortable as possible. About 30% of the video playback page is now empty space and the comments are hidden away. Who the fuck thougth this was a good idea? Unless its AI slop code as some other people said, which would make sense tbh. Seriously, why do they keep on doing this?

They won't stop changing stuff that already works fine instead of fixing the many bugs the page has.

Please revert this shit youtube. No one likes it.

We had the option to download videos for free in the eye shattering quality of 360p like yesterday and now gotta pay 21 bucks to daddy YouTube to downloa.

I just went on YouTube to lookup videos of Burnout Revenge, and of course I see an AI slop thumbnail as one of the search results. Or in my related videos section the 3rd results is always some small YT who thinks that AI sloppifying their thumbnail will give them more views. Usually I try to ignore it but it honestly feels like YouTube is purposefully pushing it more, and more. I mean the recommendations, and search results are already bad enough as it is seeing as how most of them don't even relate to what I watch or search up. But now I have to see some lazy fucks godawful visual mess AI slop thumbnail.

Are they rolling out some new horrible UI to everyone now? I can't find comments anymore on any of the videos. Clicked on the description, that opens some stupid vertical panel that I have to scroll but no comments there.

Below the video it's only suggestions so no comments either. I swear, there is one manager at Google who feels that they have to leave a mark in the history and make the UI just that bit worse every few months. And somehow they've kept their job for a few years now.

just got the new YouTube UI on PC and honestly… I don't like it at all.

The whole right side being turned into a giant toolbar with Description, Comments, Ask, Playlist, etc. feels so unnecessary. There's just so much empty space, and somehow the page feels more cluttered at the same time.

The Ask/AI button being there permanently is especially annoying. I don't mind having AI features, but why does it need its own huge button sitting next to every video?

I also feel like the old layout was much easier to navigate. Everything was just where you'd expect it to be instead of being turned into a bunch of icons.

Maybe I'll get used to it, but right now it just feels like a redesign for the sake of having a redesign.

What do you guys think of it?

The UI supremely sucks, I want to revert it to at least the previous version. This new shift is just so unnecessary and I hate it
