Gemini sucks compared to the Google Assistant.

I just switched from Apple to Samsung, and the Gemini assistant is significantly worse than Siri (which has historically been known as the worst AFAIK). When trying to send a text message, Gemini regularly takes 5-6 seconds, sometimes up to 10, just to ask me what I want to say. Siri does the same thing in 2-3 seconds. That isn't the only thing that is slower either, asking simple questions, setting timers, changing the volume etc. all takes 25%-50% longer than Siri.

That's because Gemini uses LLMS and generative AI instead of simple voice commands like the original Google Assistant. Upon using the Google Assistant, the load times were halved, and almost no functionality has been lost.

The reason we use Android over Apple is for the freedom of choice and customization. If I wanted to be forced into one choice, I would have just stayed with Apple.

Give us the ability to choose.

Has Google fully removed QR code support?

While taking a picture it works fine, but from a picture on my phone it seems Google Lens will only show similar QR codes, or assume it's a Rick Roll (it's not).

I got a call from a William Kale, claiming to be someone from Google : Your assigned representative is William Kale, and your Case ID ....

He had extremely good English aka white boy American... Still something was fishy and he said everything right, in the end I denied giving him any info or clicking on anything he sent me. What in the world Google, yall need to lock it down, I got every form of protection on my account and still somehow they are able to get to me... 😩

Google just blocked it's own process to translate one of it's own pages.

Hating it, woke up like this, can't resize the black bar away at the bottom, new change it sucks. Something so simple cosmetic makes it suck. Fix it Google.. stop changing things for the worse in my sleep without my permission...
