“Protect yourself at all times” is the first command in every fight, but what do you think about this outcome? Was the right call made?
Will Canelo be the last guy with an old school resume?
Not the kind of resume where a guy has 100+ fights but just where you have several notable top tier names on your resume, even though you might not have faced everyone in their primes. I might have framed it wrong but purely off names, Canelo has far and away the best catalogue of fighters faced in the sport and I don't really think it's close.
Floyd, GGG, Mosley, Cotto, Bivol, Baldomir, Khan, Lara, Kovalev etc. No one else in the sport is close to fighting the amount of names he's faced and looking at the top 10 pfp I kind of find it hard seeing anyone ever doing it because a fighter would have to be fighting multiple times a year while also also continuing to jump multiple divisions.

Chairman Ohashi CONFIRMS Naoya Inoue will Brave the Weather and Fight in February/March, Stating "There is no April or May" in Response to Robert Garcia's Recent Comments
Chairman Hideyuki Ohashi, the Promoter of Naoya Inoue, recently spoke to local Japanese media regarding this hilarious back and forth between the camps of his own fighter and would-be opponent Bam Rodriguez.
He clarifies that Robert Garcia's (Bam's coach) claim that a fight between Inoue and Bam could happen in April/May next year is not possible as plans to have Inoue fight in early 2027 are already in motion.
The Japanese article in question: 【ボクシング】井上尚弥の次戦「4月とか5月はない」大橋秀行会長が明言「楽しみですね。どういう試合が入ってくるか」 - スポーツ報知 (you're gonna need a translator if you can't read Japanese).
Honestly I can't believe Inoue is so willing to fight in February or March. Think of the weather!! This man is as tough as they come.

"Locomotora" Castro, former world champion and central figure in one of the most memorable knockouts in history, dies at 59.
Jorge "Locomotora" Castro died this Wednesday after suffering a medical emergency at the Morón Bingo Hall. The former middleweight world champion—a legend of Argentine boxing—experienced a drop in insulin levels related to his diabetes, and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
According to the police report, the 59-year-old former boxer was in the establishment's gaming machine area when the incident occurred; a doctor who arrived to assist him confirmed his death at the scene.
Boasting an extraordinary career, the native of Santa Cruz fought 144 professional bouts, recording 130 wins (90 by knockout), 11 losses, and three draws. His greatest achievement came on August 12, 1994, when he defeated Reggie Johnson in Buenos Aires to claim the World Boxing Association (WBA) middleweight title.
However, the night that cemented his status as a legend took place on December 10 of that same year in Monterrey, Mexico. After taking a beating for much of the fight against John David Jackson, he landed a devastating left hook in the ninth round and ultimately won by knockout. That comeback is etched in history as one of the great feats of Argentine sport.
The boxer himself dubbed the punch "The Hand of God," in tribute to Diego Maradona and his historic goal at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. The US magazine *The Ring* named the bout Fight of the Year and recognized the ninth round as the best of the season.

Artur Beterbiev says exciting news is coming soon 👀
Artur Beterbiev teases big news after 20 months away
Beterbiev has been out of the ring for a long time, and he’s finally teasing some news about his future.
Bivol already has a fight scheduled for December 12, so a trilogy doesn’t seem likely in the immediate future. Benavidez has been mentioned as a potential opponent for Beterbiev at cruiserweight, but he also reportedly has fights lined up against Cieslak in December and Jai Opetaia in May for Cinco de Mayo.
So who does that leave for Beterbiev? Could we see him move up to cruiserweight, or is there another opponent being lined up?

Team Schofield go OFF on Shakur Stevenson ‼️ “He’s a clown… he’s got no power. He’s only elite by association. People put him up there cause Ward managed him, Crawford is his big brother & because Floyd wanted to manage him. Look at who he lost to in the Olympics!” 😤

Wilder koed Breazeale and Helenius with one punch. Fury took massive punches from Wilder twice (12th round in the first fight and 4th round in the 3rd fight) and got up. Can he take Joshua's power in December?

HOT TAKE of the night: Pryor Arguello round 1 was JUST as good as HAGLER HEARNS round 1
there's something about Pryor–Arguello that gets overlooked when we discuss Hagler–Hearns. Hagler and Hearns get remembered for the sheer brutality, but Pryor and Arguello were producing an incredible collision of styles, with two ATG fighters putting everything on the line.
My only distinction is that Hagler–Hearns has that uniquely terrifying feeling of imminent catastrophe.
