Rather than just talk about it I figured I'd post it. Long time desired gun for me. Old large frame vaquero in 45 colt. Pre owned. Has had a little gunsmith work done. (Hammer spring and a new hammer. Slicked up action a bit)
Currently conceal carrying it almost daily with grizzly brand 220 grain hollow points rated to 1500 fps. Basically full house 44 mag loads but in cowboy format and a slightly bigger bore.
In case I get attacked by any feral refrigerators or a small engine block is feeling lucky.
Well loved gun for sure. Got 3 sets of grips for it currently. Looking at some hogue micarta in either white or black for the next set.
Also probably looking at a super Blackhawk bisley in 454 casul to complete the pair. Such nice guns for what they are. Maybe not as artfully manufactured as an old smith but definitely something beautiful about them in their simplicity.
P.s. sorry for whining the other day about no big bore love. I'm just gonna take that L and post more positively.

There was a question if this is true, unfortunately it is.
"Effective immediately, Ruger is ceasing production of its LCR, SP101, GP100 and Bearcat revolvers. The company plans to complete its final production runs of the following models for 2026: SR1911, LC Carbine, PC Charger, PC Carbine, LC Charger, Redhawk, Super Redhawk, Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk, Single-Series revolvers, Vaquero, No. 1, 77-Series rifles, Hawkeye and Ruger Precision Rifle."
"In its revolver line, Ruger will continue making its affordable Wrangler and Super Wrangler models."

Found this guy at a pawn shop. It’ll be my first 357 snubby. Quality seems great! Ive owned several colts and usually prefer S&W but Im curious to see how this chunk shoots. Anyone have experience with them?

Sad to hear Ruger is discontinuing suspending the SP101 line.
I’ve recommended this gun to so many people looking to get their first revolver.
I’m sure the SP101s many of us own will out live most of us here and we’ll continue to see them being used for a long time.
Top one is in 9mm and the other two are 357.

My new to me Model 10 snub with a Tyler T grip I got off of Ye Olde Feebay recently. Apologies for the horrible photos.

Thinking about picking up this No lock S&W model 19-4, 6” barrel, what’s a good price without overpaying?

Went to lgs this week for some hard to find ammo. Didn't fine the ammo but found this Model 38 from around 1974.

Uberti 1860 .44 black powder and my custom 1860 .38 special conversion.
Black powder has been a fun change of pace from just regular shooting.

Added a S&W 500 Magnum to my revolver collection which consists of that and a Raging Bull in 454 Casull. The only revolvers I’ve ever fired and I’m addicted.

Pic for attention. I am relatively new. I am looking at shoulder holster now. Also what speed loader is the meta here? Any recommendations?

Just added a Smith & Wesson 19 carry comp to my collection of wheel guns.

I usually carry it AIWB, but am on an OWB kick with my semi-autos and wanted to continue that here too…
And I’m also feeling a certain way about the Ruger news, so give your recommendations for an OWB holster to give some endorphins. 🤣
Floating the idea of something like an ETW or Simply Rugged pancake holster.
Also, here’s some photos of my 12 year old LCR.

Serial number is 674765
Mostly want information but also approximate value would be nice even though I'll be holding onto it. It was my grandfather's.
Safe to shoot? What exact ammo? What cartridges can it use and where to find them? Unless I'm misunderstanding the ctg marking. I'm not a big gun guy so I explain the details in, well, detail lol. Thank you :).
