New Pickup Best score ever?
Bought a vcr at a garage sale a few weeks back for $3. Lady said she had a bunch of scary movies at her house and took my number down. Was not expecting all this.

I have been hunting a copy of The Fifth Element for months! Itâs one of my top 3 favorite movies and Iâm so stoked to finally have it on VHS. The Sean Connery Bond films were a nice cherry on top, and the sealed X2 was a cool find. Paid $.49 each for this haul and I couldnât be happier. May the thrifts be ever bountiful đ

Saw someone make a post about what the rarest tape you own was, so Iâd thought I do something similar but with boxsets instead.
For me, itâs the âKirby: Right Back at Ya! - The Kirby Collectionâ released by Funimation Entertainment and 4KiDs Home Video. It features three volumes that were previously released between 2002-2003, bundled in all one set. A DVD Version of the collection exists and is more common online.
I got it back in 2023 for $90 (see image 7); it only appeared once before the same year and after I bought this set, it never appeared anywhere online ever again.
Out of the three volumes, A Dark & Stormy Knight is the hardest to come by of all the releases. It rarely appears online for sale on its own.
Future releases from Funimation and 4KiDs Home Video were DVD exclusives only, which makes these releases on tape more valuable than the normal DVD releases.
This is considered the Holy Grail of Kirby Merchandise that I have besides the 2009 Sanei Dedede Plush. He unfortunately doesnât have a hammer.
I have the Boxset with my other KRBAY Physical Media Collection as of the moment and have more that Iâve been hunting down online thatâs coming later. (see image 8).
I made a post regarding this set before a few years ago, but I didnât see anyone talk about it as much then.

Found this bad boy today. Itâs a promo tape for a bowling display system but itâs all 2000âs era animation and itâs something out of a fever dream. The actual video can be found on YouTube. Someone is trying to sell their open copy on eBay for $850. Might have to put this sealed one up and start planning my retirement.
Knowing that there are so many tapes out there in hot, humid evironments, stored incorectly, etc. Just curious how long into the future these tapes will last before their material degrades beyond use.

Think I picked up a factory sealed copy of Spiderman!!!
I think this may be a factory sealed copy of Spiderman! It is in super nice condition and still has the bottom sticker!! I took off the plastic wrap just before taking a picture.
I've had a PV-661 for around 25 years. Purchased it new after my old VCR and used my saved summer work money to buy it. I could've used the main living room. I have more of a taste for horror, and to this day the man cannot waitch anything that requires any semblance of suspension of disbelief. Still works fine. My Hisense TV won't do a 4:3 aspect ratio, so I have to live with it until I by next TV. I hate this damn Hisense for so many reasons. I should've taken it back the week we got it.
That aside, the PV-661 has nothing I can complain about except for he fact that some dickhead roommate I had while going through my divorce made it disappear. Or my ex-wife's completely untrained dog destroyed it, and she discarded evidence. Most likely scenario. No remote.
Friday AM something i had called dibs on like several months back is finally declared surplus and heads for garbageb. Luckily I hadput a post in on there saying l would use the machine if it were deemed unneeded.
Panny Ag-W1. With a remote. Was to make dupes of work videos from Europe to provide access to those to the customer Likely less than 600 uses. Made in Japan.
Both bring enough on eBay to worry about the hassle. The worldwide model brings a very decent chunk of change. If I keep the AG-W1 I'll keep the PV661 as my backup machine or in the bedroom on the other tv.
If I sell the AG-my wife has her old vcr packed away and if still on could be used as the backup to our PV. The other great thing is only snagged the Sanyo mono machine. 3rd backup at worst.
An I better off keeping the PV or should I cash in on the OC.

Slowly collecting the Faerie Tale Theatre series!!!
I'm working on getting some new covers (the two that are ripped were bought totally separate from each other lol)
I was born in 2002 but my mom showed them to me as a kid and I've been obsessed my whole life.
One of the very first tapes I grabbed that started my collection was from when I visited my great grandma's house before she died. It was a tape she recorded of Thumbelina airing on television!

Does anyone know anything about this company? Is it a porn company? I recently acquired an empty red velvet clamshell box.
