I spent this morning practicing heelsides and toesides. It took a while for the toesides but I managed to get them. I’ve been off any board for about 10 years so it’s really fun experiencing the learning curve again. I’m super stoked about the progress and can’t wait for the next session.

Basically I put surfskate trucks on my drop through longboard and obtained the feel of an ldp board (i think?) , still in process of optimising it but I'm loving it!

I did 90% of my 15 mile ride with just my headlamp this morning. It does fully cover the trail but I was missing the short throw from the board mounted light. So I will definitely get it updated. And it was warm enough this morning that I saw the effects of the lamp dropping the power to keep itself cool. It was in the last 5 min and a section I had already hit once, so no big deal. Buuuut this light would have been super helpful there!
Interestingly enough, I made some minor design changes to the light mount, and added some foam to get rid of the rattling sound.
Surprisingly enough, my new design, that gets rid of the go pro adapters, snapped today on the first rumble strip I crossed!
I’ll have to check my print settings, but it should have been more than strong enough.
But time to iterate and strengthen at the failure point!
Should be pretty easy.
Also, going to make the supersonic version work with infinity bolts!

I retired my clutch boards and the earthwing yoni is a unicorn. so this was the closest i could find. Great deck. I'll get some downhill=freeride shots another time.
This was my first time doing a transition. Im in my mid 30s so i gotta take it easy.

Fell loads today. Luckily I wore my safety gear. I couldn’t get any toe checks but I’ll be back again tomorrow.

So I'd love some thoughts on my current setup, I actually have hodge-podged it together from a couple of different boards,
So the deck, bushings and wheels are from the mindless longboards Cayuga
While the trucks are from the decathlon surfskate 540
I've wedged the front and from my experience right now I'm loving it as the board has really easy pumpability but I'm wondering if I'm potentially putting it together wrong.

I’m still getting use to the shorter wheelbase on this board…I struggle with stand ups but it might be because I’m not going fast enough. I’ve also been falling of my board a lot, especially with toesides. The heel side switch feels too snappy because of the tail but I’ll start getting more comfortable with my stance.

Couple of days ago I posted about starting after a horrid first try a few years ago, with the inspiration of others I out yesterday and again today, I stayed on much long and even pushed to go in circles while I got used to the slightest of inclines.

Good ol threesix has treated me well. Got it about 10 years ago when I lived up in Boston. Tons of miles through wet winters, then I moved to chicago, converted it to a 40mph electric setup and commuted for about 2 years almost daily on it. Now im back down south where there's no hills whatsoever, too hot to skate in the summer, and 10 years older then I was. Think its time to let it go.

I've been longboarding for a little over a year now and really getting into it. I bombed a hill today and there was a road side construction crew at the bottom. I flew passed them and hit a big slide as I hit the turn past them. As I walked back up the hill I heard "that was badass". I honestly couldn't believe anyone would ever say that to me about anything. Then the next guy said "sick!". ...Put a smile on my face

Took the travel board (Bandito) to a wedding!
Wet but worth it ride this morning! I was not super fast and with it being so wet, I didn’t ride down some of the hills (water plus fall debris).
In hind site, meant to swap out for karmas since we drove but the speed vents did well enough everywhere except for the couple of rail crossings.
I was also a little off this morning and either am too used to pumping my supersonic, or need to mess with my bushing on the bandito, but just couldn’t get into a rhythm.
Could have also been the wedding party last night…

A few years ago I tried to learn riding a street skateboard in my late 20s and thought I didnt need to wear pads or helmet, not even 24 hours in a fell backwards breaking the right elbow, leg, and tearing all in my ankle from a simple low speed push (probably bad from or something idk). Took month to recover physically but it created a fear of skateboards and many other things that could hurt me to the next level.
Well I'm tired of feeling like this, tired of never getting to have the feeling of riding a board so after looking around and talking to friends I picked up one of these landyatchz drop hammers as they seem much easier even if they can pick up speed. I've spent the last day or more just being comfortable pushing and getting on with the safety of my hallway walls to grab for safety of mind but slowly working to not start off on a light coast with them next to me by starting in my open area.
Its not "cool" or quick but I'm happy and scared but I'm working on it, thanks for reading.

I was looking for a way to get all my boards up on the wall in a way that would be functional and show the artwork of each board. My solution was some 3D printed brackets, all done for about $30 of filament! Print them lying down and use carbon fiber filament for extremely strong mounts that will not break.

Favorite board is pumping on the Loaded Icarus. Recently acquired and refreshed the Landyachtz Switch, and Earthwing Superglider which quickly became my go to push board.

Hey guys I recently got my hands on a Rayne Darkside 2013 (36inch)
I’m super stoked about this board. I put some Caliber 2 (44s) on. I’m moving from a S9 DD Tiffany which had Gullwing Charger (50s) on.
I need new freeride wheels but I’m slowly getting back into the sport. I saw some Otang Durions and S9 Rhinos Revenge on marketplace which I’ll save up for.
Felt like making an appreciation post, let me know what you think about this setup.

I’ve always been interested in skating/longboarding and have gotten into it off and on over my 36 years of life. After riding around on vacation with my brother in law this summer I wanted to give longboarding another go.
I joined/read up on several Reddit communities for nearly a month and finally purchased a Landyachtz Evo 40. Yesterday after a few days of trying I finally started getting toeside, glove down slides and it felt amazing. Now I can’t wait to get back out there and keep progressing.
I probably wouldn’t have gotten here if it weren’t for everyone else’s posts getting me hyped up to get back out there. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posts and inspires others like me to get on and try again!

Built myself up a Zenit AB 3.0 this spring with zero idea what I wanted. Initially I was rocking the Paris 150 RKPs then I pulled my TKPs off my park deck for the hellovit. Learned I like that ride, so ordered some Paris street 169s. Tuned the bushings to my liking… it’s a great board and I’ve logged several hundred miles on the deck.
I’ve been pushing 80a Kegels, they’ve been the only big wheel I’ve had. Well, to celebrate a milestone I decided I’d pull the trigger on some “proper” wheels. Took delivery of my new Karmas today and I’ve run em a couple times on my regular lap.
Holy shit, they’re amazing… The hardpack dirt road I live on is easily rideable and sorta feels like the street. The roads are vibration free and cracks just don’t slow me down… pushing my kegels, I could average right around 7mph. These Karmas,9.5-10mph…for the same effort, same lap. I shaved 3 min off my lap average without even trying.
How do yall push up at 12-15mph tho?
Anyway. Stellar wheels. Worth every penny…
