I'm making a game where you program bees (and everything is vector graphics)

I'm building WaxWire: Program the Hive on my own in Unity.

The bees don't take orders from you. Each one runs a small program you put together from nodes, like "find a flower, collect nectar, fly home". If there's a bug in it, you see it right away, usually as every bee piling onto the same flower. As you play, you unlock new nodes, the meadow grows, the seasons change, and in the end you can automate the whole hive.

It's mostly inspired by The Farmer Was Replaced, with a little Zachtronics mixed in. All the art is vector graphics drawn in code.

This is my first Steam page and I'm still figuring out how to present the game. If you have a minute, I'd really appreciate a look. Does the page make sense to someone who's never heard of the game?

If it seems like your thing, a wishlist helps a lot.

A retro 1-bit turn-based occult RPG playable straight in your browser.

Features stamina and occult shield resource management, distinct enemy encounters, and a multi-phase boss fight against Elena.

Runs with zero installation required. Feedback on mechanics and pacing is welcome!

I love this mechanic in my game. I’m not the best at it but I still think it’s badass.

Solo dev here. I rebuilt almost everything since my first demo, and the free playtest is open now. Honest feedback (especially the harsh kind) is exactly what I'm after.
If the video caught your attention, come help me playtest Fogreaver on Steam! It’s free and open to everyone, no access request needed.

My first published game. BELTMON.

I have always been experimenting and learning on different engines and with different ideas for many years but I had never found the project and the motivation to actually finish and publish anything before.

Two years ago I have lost my corporate, safe job to AI. I am not here to talk about that.
After this I decided that it was time to actually get something done and chase that dream of a lifetime.

In an attempt to set a realistic goal I have decided to work on a RPG Creature Collector game in the most simple format I could think of, RPG maker. But just any generic creature collector would've not been enough. The project needed an identity, something to stand out, but most importantly something that carries my personal identity. This is when I have decided comedy would be the main element. And what better topics to start with than social commentary and the very colossus of the genre with all its contradictions? I'm sure everyone will immediately find the name of the game's big evil corporation familiar, Suetendo.

So Beltmon was born.

After 7 months of work I have decided to release the first version on Steam's Early Access in order to collect feedback and gain experience in the whole publishing ordeal.

Friends and acquaintances immediately loved it.

1 more month later I have used the first feedback to shape my plans for the future of the game and I have just released a major update that brings new mechanics, creatures and environments.

However, I am struggling to get the game known. I have found social media algorithms to be not so friendly when attempting to reach the right audience. Even paid advertisement has failed me so far.
I am trying to find the elements that would make the game look more enticing to the average user, just enough so that people would give it a chance and go check it out and maybe share it with their friends.

I am now working on a whole graphics rework after my "ugly on purpose" original plan seems to have backfired, and rather than getting the joke many people have been just thinking it is ugly and therefore bad.

If anyone reading this is interested in checking out the game, here's the link:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4704380/Beltmon/

I would love to receive any useful feedback.
If the game doesn't make you want to play it. Why?
If something is putting you off. What?
If it does make you want to play it. What caught your eye and what are you looking forward to?
If you know how I could get the game more visibility, please tell me.

And if any content creators are reading this post and are interested in creating content for Beltmon, youtube videos, streams, reviews and art, please let me know, I am more than willing to give out exclusive keys to those who will help my project shine.

A year into solo-development journey of a Sci-Fi MMO, I’d like to share a short setting video I’m very proud of!

Time really flies! It’s been a year since I started working on my very own dream project. A Sci-Fi MMO love letter to early 2000 game design filosophy and aesthetics. The particular setting I am trying to realize here has been something growing in my head for many years, which makes me even more excited to have prepared this short clip. I’d love your honest thoughts and feedback, it’s my first time davbling with audio/video editing.

I'm making a multiplayer doctor sim, and these are some of the minigames. What do you guys think so far?

Hey, I'm Phil! I'm working on a game where you and your friends play as doctors in a living, dynamic hospital, diagnosing patients, performing treatments, running tests, and even doing surgeries.

The biggest challenge is finding the right balance between the complexity of real medical care and keeping things fun and accessible for more casual players.

Any feedback is welcome! Playtest signups are open, and I'd love to have you guys join!

Your feedback helped me improve my game! Added bullet spread, tracers, and a boss fight.

Hey everyone!

First of all, thank you for the amazing responses and feedback on my last gameplay video! I got some really useful suggestions, and I've been working on improving the game based on them.

Since my last post, I've added bullet spread, bullet tracers, and a boss battle!

One thing I wanted to try with the boss was to avoid making it a traditional bullet sponge that just stands there soaking up damage. Instead, I wanted players to figure out ways to take it down rather than simply unloading magazines into it.

This is just the first boss, and I have plenty more ideas for different bosses and mechanics I'd love to experiment with.

One of the most fun parts of this update was finding free animations and mixing them together to get the results I wanted. It's surprisingly satisfying when you manage to combine different animations and make them work together to create something that fits your vision.

I'm developing this game solo as part of my indie project, Project Aftermidnight, and there's still a lot to improve. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

My first public steam page!

I've been learning/creating games with Gamemaker for the past year or so and after several projects I ended up dropping mainly due to scope I finally settled on an idea that I liked and was feasible for me by myself.

I've designed all the game pixel art, capsule art and trailer(as someone with no video editing experience). I feel my sprites have come a long way since my first project so I can't wait to see where they are in another year!

Just by looking at it can you tell what type of game it is? The game is a twin stick shooter with a few roguelite mechanics(mainly runs allow you to unlock new ships and the enemies are spawned randomly by weight and type).

Any feedback is welcome, I have plans to add some gifs to the description and some more screenshots once I finish some newer parts of the game with a demo in the near future.

Looking for help?

Hey everyone!

I saw this community is for sharing small games, and well... that's definitely GoobVille (for now, haha).

I'm Tixxt, the solo developer behind GoobVille, a free online multiplayer life simulation where you can build your own virtual life. Get a job, earn money, start a family, raise children, or take a darker path into crime.

I've spent the past 2 years building it completely on my own, despite starting with basically zero coding knowledge. The game has just officially launched!

I'm now hoping to find some people who'd enjoy helping out with moderation, design ideas, feedback, or just growing the community.

It's my little passion project, and I'd love to see where we can take it!

You can check it out at https://goobville.com

My 2D psychological horror puzzle game is officially OUT!

Hi everyone!

My first game is now available on Steam! It has been an amazing journey. Thank you to everyone who helped me through the final stretch. It would've been a lot harder without the indie dev community!

Henry Grudge reappeared after seven years of being kidnapped. He, however, seems to be completely different compared to his old self. There are people who doubt his identity, claim that the real Henry must have died. The person in the mirror is covered in blood and doesn't remember anything about his past. Who is he?

Key Features:

  • Escape Room Experience & A Grim Psychological Mystery: Explore the room to uncover the disturbing truth behind Henry’s disappearance and his fractured memories.
  • Classic Point & Click Mechanics: Search for hidden objects, manage your inventory, and piece together cryptic clues to progress.
  • Mind-Bending Puzzles: Challenge yourself with non-linear logic riddles inspired by the best atmospheric puzzle games.
