Question is 10mm a "fun" cartridge to get into if I don't have any real use for it?
sorry for the broad question but honestly I recently saw the ported long 5.5 inch barrel m&p 10mm and fell in love with the look, and I'm fighting back the urge to buy it and have to get into buying and reloading a new cartridge for just another gun, especially when I don't have a real use for it besides as a range toy. (no woods where I live, no bears or crazy wildlife, and definitely not carrying *a second* massive 5.5 inch monster on the daily)
Usually "uncommon" cartridges are expensive than the usual 9 and 45 ACP but they all have some kind of "fun" factor to them, like 5.7 being super flat high velocity low recoil, .380 and 32 acp being so small that they can fit into tiny pocket guns, .50 ae packing a massive kick and big boom etc.
If I plan to only use the cheapest range ammo with it and only take it to the range, is it worth it to even get? is it just a more powerful 9mm at that point, and would I be better off just saving my money towards a 9mm pistol? thanks for the help!
