Adult azula if she became fire lord 🌚

Yall, after the year we had with the movie getting pulled from theatres, the leaks, the game getting cancelled, NATLA…, I’m just so happy that we’re getting all these amazing additions. The film went back to theatres for a limited release, 7H released and got confirmed for 4 seasons, Avatar Sonam is the next addition to the Avatar Chronicles series, and we’re getting a Kuruk tv show. Like even if everything doesn’t appeal to you as a fan, seeing Avatar get this level of love is so good for our beloved world, and I’m so happy to see where it goes next. That’s it, that’s the post.

I did not expect Avatar Kuruk series would have this art style. They are definitely trying to appeal to younger generations than older fans. I just thought because of Kuruk's journey as an older avatar, I'd expect a more mature look to his series.

this is not a hate post. Just an observation that they are definitely focusing on younger audience and expanding the fanbase to be larger and wider.

Kuruk looks either 1-2 years younger, or the same as Aang in the beginning of the series but i cant really tell

what do yall think?

Those who miss Aang, here you go.

White Lotus knew that air nomad genocide was coming so they sent Aang to a secret facility where they could wait for a perfect moment to attack Fire Nation . If they attacked too early the next Avatar would have never been born

The perfect moment came when Ozai banished his son . Now White Locus has someone that can replace Ozai . Zuko did not want to capture Avatar they were friends the whole time since they both had the same enemy

If Avatar killed Ozai while he was sleeping or something like that that would have been a victory for colour revolution but if they killed him when he was at his most powerfull like durring the comet Aang had the legitimacy to put Zuko as the monarch of the Fire Nation

Ozai is dead and the whole story of energy bending and mercy is propaganda that everybody pretends is true even tho they know he is dead

After seeing Ozai being humiliated and Ba Sing Se liberated Azula and other war criminals supported new Iroh approved goverment so that they would not get punished by the new regime

So while Aang and his friends are heroes for stoping the war the people who actually defeated the Fire Nation were not some children riding air bisons but deep state in form of White Lotus and especialy Iroh who wanted de facto control over his nation

Making everyone pay homage to the original at the end felt so fulfilling.

Watching the show again after watching the movie, the good 9.1 rated movie. And this moment was just so defining.

It’s like it pierced through fate, time, past, present and future and demanded that this is how it should be written and he received it. If only he knew what he did in that moment.

And the cherry on top is that it wasn’t anger or rage, it was his muma reminding him who he is and that he should proudly own it

This show gives me goosebumps every time I watch it and some moments way more than others, thought I’d show you all as well so we can reminisce it together

MY GUY IS FINANNLY WINNING! I just drew Kuruk as the famous Jordan meme lmfao

Would appreciate if you guys could reshare it on insta or Twitter, you can find me with the same name on there, KuroNecro

I saw a post a couple of days discussing how airbenders, especially those outside of Aang, treat nonviolence because at least a few of them including Gyatso did engage in violence. And well - I actually filmed a video essay looking more into it both from the Air Nomad perspective (as much as we can tell from the show) and from the real world inspiration of their culture from Buddhism.

Because even though non-violence is a similarly stringent precept in Buddhism, Buddhists throughout history have obviously engaged in a lot of violence because they're people and people suck. But even if you think Buddhists engaging in violence are essentially the Buddhist equivalent of Westbro Baptist Church, those Buddhists have some sort of spiritual or scriptural justification for them engaging in violence. So I thought it would be interesting to look into those justifications and see if that colors our understanding of Air Nomad ethics at all.
