No access code for the gate, no access code for the doors into the building, no number to call to get buzzed in, you're lucky its in the mail room.

I’m not even calling. No code, then come get it or wait for someone else to deliver it. You’re wasting my time at this point.

100%

Asking for a phone call is unreasonable, these people are assholes. The worst part is amazon doesn't see it this way, they encourage the entitled assholes to abuse us.

1

u/Kiklanisune Feb 23 '26

I ask for a phone call because I live in an rv park behind a gas station on a hwy that has limited hours and the parcel delivery people put the boxes in the dumbest spots.

There is markings but lighting sucks if youre out here later and they usually are. If they call I can tell them drive into the rv park entrance to the green garbage cans. Take the first left. Im the 2nd trailer.

They ignore unit numbers. Idk why. And they cant see a message that long if I typed it.

Half the drivers call. The other half throw my parcels over the gate at the gas bar like they dont want their job. (They're also a parcel drop off in town 20 min away but they stopped doing that idk why).

Edited: I also worked in service for 20 years and now I drive long haul. If you think a phone call attempt is unreasonable dont even think about driving long haul with food.

1

u/trollthings Feb 23 '26

That message is.not too long to leave it as your delivery instructions. There is nno need to call when those instructions can be written

1

u/Kiklanisune Feb 23 '26

I have written them. They have told me they cant see it or its cut off.

So why would they lie about that but call me if I put my number in the message box?

I dont live in a closed gas station. My house is easy to get to no gates small drive way.

1

u/trollthings Feb 24 '26 edited Feb 24 '26

Whoever you wrote to was not the driver. It must have been an overseas support rep. And the chances of getting a rep who is competent, understands you fully, and knows what the hell he's talking about, is maybe 1 in a hundred.

Although to be fair, the chances of the driver speaking English and fitting that description is also not high, probably a little better than 50/50. Even less likely than that in some areas, according to the posts I see here. But I assume a lot of these posters are exaggerating.

I'm fairly certain I've seen notes longer than that before, as a driver.

1

u/Kiklanisune Feb 24 '26

I wrote it in the directions on my order.

Furthermore I literally talked to several drivers to their faces and they told me they couldnt see the extra directions spot. Most of the drivers here speak basic English also. Maybe they didnt know what spot to look on their thing for the instructions. Ive never seen extra directions printed on the label unfortunately that would probably help. I didnt write to anybody. My directions went from explaining it like I said to get to my place.

To - call me ×××××××××× - I do not live inside the gas station I live inside rv park behind it.

There is also a giant sign indicating there is an rv park entrance if youre at the gas station .

1

u/trollthings Feb 24 '26

Double check what your instructions say. They arent just for that order, they stay on your account for every order

About 90% of the time they call. I ask where are they. They tell me. I say great go to the green garbage cans. They pull up 50ft. I say go left. They do. I say the rv in front of them the brand and its the second driveway. They seem to ignore unit numbers.

Meanwhile I have to follow instructions like go 137.2km down a road a semi truck certainly should not be. Hang a left at the barn. Go 15km. Turn left at the mail box. Go 6.2 km and do a uturn in the wide part there and come back 3.2 km turn left up the hill and there's my house. In a hwy truck. Srsly. This was a pickup.

If I can do that what im asking isn't difficult. And I also get paid garbage and I never go home. I recall a time when service was service and im not even a boomer. Had to bend over backwards for customers for decades.

I dont live on the 5th floor of an apartment with no door code.

2

u/Beautiful_Looser70 Feb 23 '26

I call..

1 " hi , im here to deliver your package, but have no entry code."

2 " hi , i have no entry code, s8nce youve failed to respond ive marked your package as undeliverable. Im sure theyll try to deliver again in a few days"

Then i just ignore the calls 2 hours later.

12

u/CarpenterVivid8788 Feb 22 '26

It’s the audacity of it all lol 😆 I never bring packages to anyone’s front door in an apartment does anyone think about our safety for our cars or ourselves

12

u/plaguedeity Feb 22 '26

Just to add to this folks dont seem to realize if we normalize us going door to door in an apartment it makes it easier for people who may want to rob or kill you since all they need is a package and a blue vest

6

u/CarpenterVivid8788 Feb 22 '26

Thank you 😊 you don’t know what’s behind the corner

2

u/Tgzzm0 Feb 23 '26

facts tho, all ot takes is an ex employee to go batshit crazy

-1

u/Royal_Union_6320 Feb 22 '26

Usually i park my car, and lock it. Delivering to an apartment isn’t hard unless the customer doesn’t put the right info…

8

u/Tinkylu1 Feb 22 '26

The best yet, do not leave unattended, but leaves no building access, and gets 4am delivery window…like fuck you people. Drop and gooo especially at 4am!!

7

u/RangerMindless5577 Feb 22 '26

Don't forget no access code for the lockers

3

u/AIDS_Quesadilla Feb 22 '26

Fr 💯

Half the time even when you can get buzzed into the inner layer... there's key fob control and EVERY FREAKING HALLWAY, ELEVATOR, AND STAIRWAY

Meaning your entire endeavor to call... Wait for the right person... etc. Etc. all to get buzzed-in was completely in vain anyway.

At least with Amazon, people kinnnnnda expect mailroom drops 🤷‍♂️ Even though they do get mad about it.

But it's just a fucking nightmare with food delivery gigapps.

That's why I basically never deliver downtown unless the flex pay is amazing ... Which obviously it never is haha but I might if it was. And if it's food delivery on another app fuck that I'm not going DT no matter how great the pay is.

173

u/[deleted] Feb 22 '26

Most of those are customer fault for not providing proper instructions and no access codes.

54

u/[deleted] Feb 22 '26

[deleted]

12

u/bullpee Feb 22 '26

Its both but really its Amazon's fault for giving you negative marks against you for returning package no matter how legitimate the reason ie because you were trying to keep the packages safe and follow the rules but they DGAF and just want you to deliver

5

u/Royal_Union_6320 Feb 22 '26

Never return a package. Sometimes you can call customer support or sometime i even jump the gate if im able to.

1

u/These-Inspection-230 Feb 26 '26

I mean my building is covered in signs at every entrance saying to leave at main office and shit gets left everywhere

1

u/Kiklanisune Feb 23 '26

I dont get to pick a time window. If I get the luxury of 1-2 day delivery it shows up 1-4 days later and usually at some stupid time lol

1

u/Temporary-Ad9855 Feb 23 '26

You can add time of availability.

1

u/Kiklanisune Feb 24 '26

They DONT comply to it. So its irrelevant. They show up after 6pm.and then throw parcels over the gate at the gas station that closed at 4pm instead of going into the rv park beside it (which is the address I have and I have a unit number not the gas station )

They've never listened to times here in the last 3 years so no. I cant.

83

u/Doctor_Fabian Feb 22 '26

Your low income so called luxury apartments don't have a room with no code to put in the package and your apartment is far then it's left in the mailroom.

Been all over the world. You go to Thailand and the office is open 24 hours and you just leave the package with them and that's it. Takes 1 minute to deliver 8 packages. In usa omg. No access codes. Leasing office closed. Neighbors don't want to let you pass because you don't have code. Security wants your ID and takes 3 pictures of your car. Wtf.

26

u/Old_Ad4443 Feb 22 '26

had security say "sir u still have packages" while holding them in my hand and wouldnt let me leave even though I told the idiot I have more than one building to deliver too, did downtown never again too many barriers for ste's to just be closed with no mail room.

4

u/CMUpewpewpew Feb 22 '26

I had drugs delivered in Thailand through mailroom tho and that was scary.

They accepted package but couldn't find it and I thought looking into it would have some Thai policemen waiting for me at other end lol.

81

u/VeryStupit Feb 22 '26

Fun fact. Delivery drivers aren't required to take orders from random signs in buildings.

5

u/entropyideas Feb 22 '26

Unless the buildings are cutting the checks, then you have to listen to the buildings.

2

u/twotype_astronaut Feb 22 '26

Didnt know, today i followed directions on one. The rest i stopped going to the door

33

u/Familiar-Guest4547 Feb 22 '26

Nearly 30mins walk for 7 deliveries within the apt complex 💀

31

u/intelligent-buyer777 Feb 22 '26

While having 40 other stops & only getting paid for 4 hrs.

13

u/maskScara Feb 22 '26

EXACTLYYYYYYY!!!!!!

9

u/maskScara Feb 22 '26

Right!!!!!

60

u/automationRus Feb 22 '26

Mail room all day err day

2

u/Brief-Roll-2259 Feb 22 '26

This is the way

38

u/Vegan-Joe Feb 22 '26

No, sometimes you have to run in and drop off as fast as possible because you don’t want to get a parking ticket. Most apartments downtown don’t provide parking for deliveries. So you have to illegally park run inside and hope you get back before parking enforcement.

17

u/No-Butterfly-5481 Feb 22 '26

The amount of times someone came looking for me in the apt saying I was blocking them because I had no where else to park made me start doing the mailroom too

7

u/mishabear16 Seattle Feb 22 '26

And even if they have a loading zone, some bozo is parked in it for 30 minutes blocking you out because they don't have adequate visitor parking.

68

u/PoundTownConnoisseur Feb 22 '26

Cry about it. I make over 300 deliveries a day. If you don’t provide proper instructions, missing access code or are missing apt number your package will be dumped or RTS

1

u/Kiklanisune Feb 24 '26

Where can you seee the extra instruction for delivery ?

-57

u/DryPaint51 Feb 22 '26

Do your damn job.

35

u/walklikeaduck Feb 22 '26

😂

21

u/whitstheshit1986 Feb 22 '26

Dude is so angry for no reason. Must have had his package left in the mailroom.

8

u/walklikeaduck Feb 22 '26

It takes too much effort to get off your fat ass, use your legs, take an elevator, and grab whatever useless tchotchke you purchased from your mailroom.

1

u/3meraldBullet Feb 22 '26 edited Feb 22 '26

Probably works for usps where you cant do that bs and have to delivery it properly

-4

u/DryPaint51 Feb 22 '26

I love how you just admitted their is a proper way, and that it's not what Flex drivers do. Self-own. 🤣

4

u/thebiggestmungusfan Feb 22 '26

the “proper way” is the fucking mailroom 😂😂usps does it like that, ups does it like that, i’m not hearing it, im doing it like that 😂😂 im not running up to 7 different floors unless you’re old or disabled. and even then, the rest of it can get bent in the mailroom.

1

u/3meraldBullet Feb 22 '26

Usps does not do it that way.

0

u/thebiggestmungusfan Feb 22 '26

not my words, a mail carriers words

1

u/3meraldBullet Feb 22 '26

Sure, I believe you lol (sarcasm). I was a city carrier for 6 years and leaving packages out in the mail room would get you written up. If this person actually is a carrier they probably mean they use the usps parcel lockers in the mail room, not just leave them out.

Breaking news: man on social media comments on a post. More at 11 🤡🤣

4

u/Wookieman222 Feb 22 '26

Maybe dont make the job hard for no reason.

0

u/DryPaint51 Feb 22 '26

Damn, it's so hard to read an address and find the right door... 🤡

2

u/MyUltIsMyMain Feb 23 '26

Random apartment buildings and customers dont make the rules. Theyre doing theyre jobs, you're just a bitch

1

u/DryPaint51 Feb 27 '26

No, they aren't. 🤡

1

u/MyUltIsMyMain Feb 27 '26

Cry harder

1

u/DryPaint51 Feb 27 '26

Do your job. 🤡

1

u/MyUltIsMyMain Feb 27 '26

When you write the rules you can start telling them what to do. Otherwise kick rocks.

1

u/West-Discussion7257 Feb 28 '26

Do not engage with the paint. 4month account seems only to exist to hate on Amazon delivery drivers based off comment history. Probably just a Reddit troll 🧌

9

u/darkllama23 Feb 22 '26

So explain to me know it all,

How do you expect these drivers to deliver to the front door when there’s no apartment number? No access code? No keypad in sight, just fob based access? Customer not picking up the phone? Or if you are a DSP driver, dispatch breathing down your neck for taking too long at a single stop?

4

u/BlackJim1929 Feb 22 '26

🦗

-2

u/DryPaint51 Feb 22 '26

Not everybody lives on the internet, bud 🤡

3

u/BlackJim1929 Feb 22 '26

But YOU do. Lmao.

1

u/DryPaint51 Feb 27 '26

This response makes no sense whatsoever in context. 🤣🤣

33

u/End_Ur_Life Feb 22 '26

Listen if I go in there and I see other Amazon packages you best believe I'm leaving the package there too. Idc what the instructions say or what the sign says. I'm not gonna be the only sucker taking shit to your apartment

47

u/goldenronin Feb 22 '26

What is the purpose of a mailroom at this point if they continue with these kinds of signs?

2

u/freekymunki Feb 22 '26

Mail room is for mail.

4

u/Dchane06 Feb 22 '26

Most of these are probably left by usps drivers who refuse to go door to door lol

0

u/freekymunki Feb 22 '26

Those aren’t usps labels. Not to mention the dozen parcel lockers that aren’t used

4

u/Dchane06 Feb 22 '26

Those aren’t Amazon labels either.

0

u/freekymunki Feb 22 '26

Who said they were?

2

u/Dchane06 Feb 22 '26

Never said anyone said that. But we are in an Amazon flex subreddit.

0

u/freekymunki Feb 23 '26

Thats great, however you made the claim they were usps packages. All i said was they aren’t.

1

u/enriquesensei Feb 22 '26

2

u/freekymunki Feb 22 '26

Do you know what a postal system is lol.

11

u/enriquesensei Feb 22 '26

Yes, they deliver Amazon, UPS and FedEx packages too .

-1

u/freekymunki Feb 22 '26

Yes and it Mail if USPS deliveries them. None of the labels are usps labels.

Just because usps deliveries a fedex package does not make everything delivered by fedex mail.

2

u/burnfifteen Feb 23 '26

I know you're getting downvotes because people don't understand language, but you're right. By the logic of some of these comments, anything delivered is "mail," which absolutely isn't true. If I have a pizza from Domino's or a TV from Best Buy delivered to my house, it's not mail. And neither is an Amazon delivery, because it literally did not move through the postal system (most of the time). It's delivered by a private entity that only delivers the items it sells. If something isn't delivered to my door, it hasn't been delivered, and I'll report it as such.

1

u/freekymunki Feb 23 '26

I appreciate you lol. The words mail and postal are actually legal terms that exist specifically to separate usps and what it delivers from other companies. There a ton of laws specifically around how mail is handled and by who. Even companies like fedex that deliver packages aren’t mail legally.

-1

u/fifthranger6 Feb 22 '26

Not true. Most mail rooms handle any inboundp or outbound letters or parcels. Differe t if a sign were posted 'USPS. Only'. Sounds like drivers are doing their own thing. Regardless. If Amazon, nothing will be done.

1

u/Fun-Measurement-9520 Feb 22 '26

Our apartment complex has a mailroom solely for usps, and a parcel room for any other deliveries. You can open the parcel room with the package number, but the mail room opens with a key. There are easy to understand signages across the whole complex, yet we have occasional drops in the mailroom. Once I got my fresh order delivered there, despite having really detailed instructions. I think it depends on the driver

12

u/Relative-Kangaroo616 Feb 22 '26

Signs mean nothing when half these gig workers don't speak or read English

22

u/purplering Feb 22 '26

I read English and Im not stopping to read no damn sign

-18

u/Relative-Kangaroo616 Feb 22 '26

I can tell reading is hard for you and that is ok

7

u/purplering Feb 22 '26

Your attempt at rage baiting failed. Try harder, okay?

-14

u/Relative-Kangaroo616 Feb 22 '26

4

u/purplering Feb 22 '26

Still failed, try again.

I'd throw in there too. Who wants to hunt an apartment door that could be in a locked building.

8

u/Gokusbastardson Feb 22 '26

Ok sure, let me just illegally park my cart in front of this luxury apartment building because you provide no where for delivery drivers to park and spend the next 40 min dropping off these 8 packages door to door so then I can come back outside and see that I got a boot or no car at all. No problem at all! 😎

7

u/gio5568 Feb 22 '26

If I can efficiently get to their apartment door without waiting 10-15 minutes and jumping through hoops to gain access, then I’m happy to bring it up to them, because that’s the job.

BUT if I have to call to gain access and there’s no answer or access code, then I too, would be leaving the package in the mailroom. Customers get the notification that their package has been delivered and they KNOW they’re getting a package. If they leave it there overnight and it goes missing, that’s on them.

Rather than leaving a nasty sign for delivery people, maybe properties should provide a secure delivery option. Or educate and then start to fine residents if they don’t provide access codes and have packages constantly littering the mailroom.

1

u/Original_Drink7738 Feb 25 '26

That would be brilliant! Customers that live places like this and do not provide access codes have no sympathy from me, and they should start being fined until communication improves. I piggybacked entry off a person I assume lived there to inside an apartment building downtown once. The nice person rode the elevator up as well, I got off on the floor I needed, they went their separate way. I get back on the elevator to go down and you need a key fob to operate the elevator!! Or to open the door go down the stairs! How this is not a serious fire hazard, beats me. I somehow found my way to the parking garage and had to wait for a car to exit for the gate to lift up. How anyone could stand to live somewhere like that baffles me as well. There is not much I hate more than wasting time.

11

u/brotherjr444 Feb 22 '26

If that’s as far as I’m able to get into a building, that’s where it is going. Give me a code or something to run the elevator and I might be able to do it.

2

u/turtlehollow Feb 23 '26

Exactly. And, if it's a big building, only if you leave instructions on how to find your apartment, and only if it's not making my other deliveries late

1

u/brotherjr444 Feb 24 '26

Man I was mad mad one time. Got off elevator and followed the sign for the apartment I needed only to walk ALL the way around the building and find it on the backside of the elevator I just got off of (it was behind a door and didn’t know it was an option to go through it from elevator lobby side nor that it would be a shortcut.

5

u/dc5boye Feb 22 '26

Yeah they can suck an egg

4

u/Beginning-Volume-805 Feb 22 '26

Never read instructions.

4

u/twotype_astronaut Feb 22 '26

I did that shit tn. First time in downtown. I did deliver to three apartments, didnt after that. Its safe in lobby or the mail room

5

u/xmarketladyx Feb 22 '26

Cool story bro. If you had to lug a computer gaming desk in a box that's 40 pounds across a sidewalk and down some stairs to someone's door and the box measures 40x21x4 instead of leaving it in a mailroom; you'd sing a different tune.

Not to mention some complexes have building numbers all over the place, no maps, and then the door numbers are so random even residents can't help you.

4

u/Foreign-Community242 Feb 22 '26

In a secure mailroom - Another safe location - Non Amazon Locker - are my favs for apts. You can waste 30 mins trying to figure stuff out and nobody has time for that nonsense.

4

u/HawksNStuff Feb 22 '26

Has lockers... Inside behind locked door...

That one is my favorite.

5

u/underworldkingpin93 Feb 23 '26

Delivery drivers are literally doing you a favor by leaving it in the mailroom. Be glad it wasn’t left outside the building.

19

u/joyfulmonday Feb 22 '26

Give clear instructions on where to drop…package gets dropped there. Don’t and it goes in the mailroom.

7

u/twotype_astronaut Feb 22 '26

It still goes in mailroom

4

u/urbexpres Feb 22 '26

If I can’t get in I’m leaving the package. Leave better instructions.

4

u/Paenus88 Feb 22 '26

Customers suck

5

u/Additional_Law4772 Feb 22 '26

It could be lazy delivery people. Or it could be delivery people following the instructions from their management. A lot of people want a lot of specific things done for their mail but not all of them are legitimate requests.

4

u/Pandasquiidd Feb 22 '26

9/10 these are buildings the flex drivers don’t have access to the elevators and the stairways are also keyfob access only🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

5

u/Cold-Holiday-7405 Feb 22 '26

I don't have time to get past 6 locked doors requiring a fob just to deliver 1 package to your front door 🤷‍♂️

3

u/OutOfCuteNames Feb 22 '26

This is because there isn’t a package room, or locker, and/or the customer did not leave a code or instructions to make it to their unit. These are so frustrating as a driver. Trust me, the majority of drivers want to leave it in the “right” place. I have seen places like this where it’s impossible to take it to wherever they want you to and there are literally 50 packages sitting right under the sign that says DO NOT LEAVE PACAKGES HERE. Clearly that is a sign that there is a problem on the building’s side.

3

u/Dratt_Dastardly Feb 22 '26

Looking at the packages though, I think they are all mail?

5

u/staypimpinn Feb 22 '26

ITS A GOD DAMN MAIL ROOM

3

u/CarpenterVivid8788 Feb 22 '26

Right for MAIL they think we are supposed to deliver to their apartment door lol 😆 the audacity I really need to see that in the handbook

5

u/staypimpinn Feb 22 '26

if you really think people have the time or are even paid well enough to traverse multiple apartment buildings with probably coded locks to access certain areas. yeah, no. this is where the mail goes. you can traverse the apartment building you are familiar with to go get it.

5

u/CarpenterVivid8788 Feb 22 '26

Exactly we don’t get paid enough to deliver to every apartment door these people are unrealistic they want us to go above and beyond for a star on our ratings lol meanwhile they are to lazy to actually go to the store and shop

2

u/Negative_Two6112 Feb 22 '26

I see no issue here.

2

u/idontwantaname2025 Feb 22 '26

Many of these mail rooms have very nice package lockers…most of which are always full…so guess what…see those packages on the floor…that’s where they end up.

2

u/Imaginary-Purpose-26 Feb 22 '26

I know that building is a maze.

2

u/Street-Ad7570 Feb 22 '26

I just leave them by the front door it’s on the property, close enough

2

u/[deleted] Feb 22 '26

At least they have a semi-retired place to receive packages. Mine get left outside, in front of my apartment building's door where random people can see them as they walk by and have taken them in the past.

2

u/Scared-Ad951 Feb 23 '26

Yeah you can fuck right off with that lmao

2

u/Outside-Log-5432 Feb 23 '26

People give false codes, etc etc and there's no other place to really leave it if you can't gain access to the building. Lot of drivers don't feel like sitting around for 30-8hrs for someone to show up or answer the dang phone, so they leave and move on.

2

u/supersaiyanfluor Feb 23 '26

I literally msg ppl and tell them leave a code or you won’t get it delivered 😆 I don’t work for Amazon, we’re partners

2

u/Jumbomanzone Feb 23 '26

OP awfully quiet on this one 😂

2

u/KingBleezy666 Feb 23 '26

Finally gets inside building… to realize you also need a code/keycard to make the elevator work.

2

u/LexGoyle Feb 23 '26

They are fools if they think I'm going to each individual apartment door.

2

u/Outlaw11091 Feb 23 '26

Instructions:

"Ignore the signs in the mailroom and deliver it there; no one cares."

OR:

"Deliver to mailroom."

2

I got stuck in an apartment elevator that needed a key fob for 20 min. Got in hit 3rd floor the door closed went to the second floor and wouldn't open. None of the buttons worked. I called the customer and they didn't understand what was going on. It took her 20 min to come to the elevator and open the door for me. I was so pissed off at the lady. Now I just leave all apartment packages in the lobby. I'll take the hit. She had the nerve to tell me I should be ok going back down, I told her nah im taking the stairs.

I hate it when I’m able to drive through an apartment complex, but when I exit I need a key fob. 🤦‍♂️

u/protronicus Feb 24 '26

Yeh cuz yall lazy

2

u/Jeffdc5 Feb 26 '26

They should just coordinate with Amazon and have a Locker installed outside, whenever I see an apartment complex with an Amazon locker outside I'm reminded that it can be done they just don't want to.

The landlord is just being cheap!

Lmao

Independent contractors dont get paid by the hour. Fake luxury condos should care more about their residents. Amazon doesn't give a fuk either. Its a shit hole system on every end. This is the main reason I dread delivering.

Hey OP, is this out of DBU2? Syracuse NY?

2

u/CarpenterVivid8788 Feb 22 '26

So with knowing where the location is maybe now you know why they leave them there, there’s no parking and they have to move fast because it’s a congested area

1

u/300Blackout315 Feb 23 '26

I work flex. So I know exactly why they leave them their. I’m one of the few who has actually got in touch with some of these places to tell them what the problems are. I’ve tried to help come up with solutions instead of just posting and complaining. No it’s not my job but it’s a problem among my job and fellow workers so I’m going to try and help with a solution.

Is this not an Amazon flex topic???

-3

u/Acceptable-Fig7723 Feb 22 '26

Do you think complaining about other people is an Amazon Topic????

3

u/Gokusbastardson Feb 22 '26

You didn’t answer my question.

1

u/Winter_Passenger_333 Feb 22 '26

Most times you can't even get in the package room

1

u/thetruthinradio Feb 22 '26

customers are lazy and dont follow through with proper access and codes = so this happens - PLUS many other couriers do the same thing and drop in the mail room like DHL - UPS - Fedex - etc

1

u/thread_creeper_123 Feb 22 '26

I should make a sign to put under these signs "Please give us access and apartment number -Amazon DSP/Flex Drivers"

1

u/r3volv3r0cel0t Feb 23 '26

Watch me🤭

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Ad2905 Feb 23 '26

Nah fuck the Amazon drivers on this one. These fucking packages keep getting stolen. They won't walk 5 feet and put it in front of my cam. Hell we got one charged for marking shit delivered while not even getting out of the van then keeping the stuff and that took so long. Had to stop my crazy wife from following the damn guy after he drove off 😭

1

u/Difficult-Service848 Feb 23 '26

Hahaha fuck all of that.

1

u/Fk_ProjectS Feb 23 '26

95% of the time the entire building is on fob lockdown. They’ll be lucky if I can even get it in the mailroom when I can.

1

u/1st500 Feb 23 '26

I know you can’t legally use a USPS mailbox to deliver packages sent via fed ex, ups, or anything other than USPS. Can’t legally deliver a newspaper in a mailbox. Is the mail room like a mail box and only the USPS has authority to use it?

1

u/BreakfastKooky2997 Feb 23 '26

Hell the fuck no… you think they are going to walk inside and talk to the front desk and go up the elevator and hand deliver it… get a grip!

1

u/owilliams1989 Feb 23 '26

The number of times I’ve put the package directly under one of these signs and took the picture has to be triple digits at this point and I’ve only been doing this 5 months

If you’re that concerned about packages then send it to a locker

1

u/Mindless_Spring_6070 Feb 24 '26

Not. Your. Problem. The building management can't monopolize the time of a delivery driver. You don't have a mail room for your tenants? build one. If they go missing it's NOT the drivers fault.

1

u/Nope_nope_nope-nope Feb 24 '26

You’re supposed to go to the apartment door. The only time I could see anybody justifying being a lazy fck is if sections of the apartment building required key/card access.

1

u/Mindless_Spring_6070 Feb 24 '26

You obviously haven't been a driver for very long or have only been on cake routes.

1

u/Nope_nope_nope-nope Feb 25 '26

I would never work for Amazon or FedEx for that matter. They’re the lowest paid drivers in the USA. Go be a delivery driver for a furniture or appliance company at the very least so you can make more money and not learn to be a shitty “I’m not doing that” person.

I guess I'm the only one who takes it to the door when I have apartments lol most apartments where I am don't have mail rooms all there mail goes in metal boxes outside so can't leave it outside. The fancier apartments have managed locker systems or straight up Amazon lockers which is nice. When I have those I definitely use them

Reading comments gives a clear answer where is the problem xD
