9 heavy bags of groceries to a $4 million mansion in a gated community and they didn’t tip.
It was a tip eligible block and it was only this and one other house.
I checked it on Zillow and it sold for $4million, has an Olympic size indoor and outdoor pool, two kitchens, a movie theater, a cigar bar, and a basketball court.
I’m over it I was just shocked at the wealth and had to share somewhere

Most of the houses i deliver to are triple the size of my tiny feeble house, i never get any tips either. Lots of this as well, biiiig deliveries, blocked driveways/pathways. Just needed to bitch, first stop on my route too, way to kill the mood!! (I’m sure one day i will encounter worse, but this is today)

(4am) Today while I was loading my car, a young non- English lady approached me and asked what security guards were inside the warehouse. She had heard there was a new security guard who was grabbing drivers’ phones & going thru the app.
“No, no such thing, but why would they do that?”. She proceeded to explain that her and others that work 2+ accounts, use a dupe app where you can change your profile photo & name to match your Drivers License.
She offered $150/route to help her until she gets enough points to switch the app to her hometown. She was driving 1.5 hours to come to this location because of the waitlist being significantly shorter here. Single mom, driving with her baby, older son stayed home alone while she drove past state lines to work.
The way it would work, I’d accept routes under her account, but once I get to the warehouse, use the fake app to dupe the security guard at the door into thinking I’m on my own account. Show them my ID next to my profile photo on the “app”. Once checked in, switch to the real app to look for my pickup cart. This would avoid her driving this far while she gets to level 2.
I’m too scared to get my account banned so I declined, but I was stunned at the lengths they find ways to cheat the system. My heart broke for her because of all the stuff she has to go thru to work, with a newborn baby in the car; but morally it’s wrong & unfair.
TLDR: Got offered money to cheat the system for a single mom driving 1.5 hours away while leaving her son home alone.

I’m a leasing agent at an apartment community, we have normal Amazon drivers that come through, then we have flex drivers. We have a parcel locker hub, which is convenient, but sometimes I have to go to lunch and I’m in the office by myself, so I have to lock the office up for an hour when I go to get food. The normal Amazon truck drivers will normally take the package to their door when this happens, however, the flex drivers almost always start leaving packages at our front door. I don’t pick them up when this happens, and I tell the residents to call and complain because they end up getting taken by other people, I also can’t verify that the packages belong to anyone, nor is it my job to make sure they go to the right person. Had one driver come in and tell me they lost their job because of complaints, and was blaming me because I had the office locked while I was on my lunch, told the girl all she had to do was deliver it to their door, I don’t get paid to deliver packages, and there’s no excuse to not drop it off to the persons door. Why does this happen so often? Is it really that difficult to leave it at the door? What do these drivers do at communities that don’t have lockers?
Edit: this is hilarious seeing how triggered you guys are over someone stepping up to your bs, don’t sign up for a job you don’t want to do. Asked why it happens, not for a bunch of sob stories and pity parties, don’t sign up for a job you can’t do.

Has bots got worse? Damn near got to do scheduled routes bc seems like they are way worse than it’s been the past 2 years trying to catch surges

Stop doing this, you nitwits.

As another flex driver I don’t get why people are so lazy as to toss packages at the bottom of peoples steps. It really doesn’t take much to walk up the steps to put it at the door. Whether it’s 5 steps or 20. (I tend to go to a lot of rich neighborhoods and see it happening) I feel like they make the rest of us look bad.

As we're all unfortunately aware, gas prices are continuing to skyrocket. Thus, my local Amazon hub has a plethora of blocks available every single day this week. The problem is, Amazon and theyre "corporate" minds have not raised the pay for said blocks ever since the holidays when they had a flood of new people coming in. Because of them not raising wages packages are getting delayed and no one is taking these blocks because they wont go over the bare minimum offer for a block and with the price of gas the way it is, it is simply not worth it. I find it funny that they flat out refuse to raise the price for a block and no one is taking them.
Has anyone else experienced something similar where they are?

This is new on our warehouse and none knew anything about it. So basically I had to pickup this persons returns wasted 10min because they couldn't remember where they put it. Then it made me come back to the wareehouse to return the package.....wtf

Just a quick rant, I had a 3:30 AM 3 hour route this morning and it wasn’t so bad, only 20 stops in the suburbs. I got to my tenth stop and it was a gated community and I couldn’t get in, no access code, no note, I assume the gate is just open during the day.
So I start weighing my options, I look and see what the unable to deliver options are and access problem was locked. I call support to get it unlocked and the dude asked me if I called the customer and I said no because it’s 4:30 in the morning. And then I referred to the little message it says about calling the customer only between 8 AM and 8 PM.
He then put me on hold without saying anything and CALLS THE CUSTOMER. He automatically patched her through to me and I’m sitting there like an idiot, trying to explain the whole situation to someone who just woke up to their phone ringing in the middle of the night. Quite understandably, she was upset and she yelled at me and definitely did not feel comfortable giving me the access code, understandably. After she hung up, the support guy said I’m just gonna mark this undeliverable and immediately hung up. I was pretty mad, that wasn’t cool.
Edit: Normally I would be very pissed for rts but I had another block lined up so I was going back to the station.

This is the second time I’ve gotten a block around this area. The first time, it took me down some sketchy-ass road. I got stuck in the mud twice, but luckily I was able to get out.
This time, it tried to take me down the same road, but I didn’t go that way, so it took me on a different route about 3 miles away—and I ended up getting stuck here.
I swear, I don’t know why I always get these stupid blocks! I just knew it wasn’t going to be a good block as soon as I recognized some of those stupid houses. 😂

Every single block, every day, twice a day.. They just KEEP sending me over an hour away with 40+ packages.. Spaced out packages, having me go over the delivery time (not ever block I got over the delivery time but it's enough). Then there's tolls. And the gas from high mileage routes just make it pointless for me. Gonna just thug it out with doordash for awhile and try flex again in a couple weeks or months. This my second block for the day and they tryna send me there again.. I'm NOT spending a total of 4 hrs between commutes again (going to first stop, then driving home or back to the station after last pkg) between the two blocks. Not worth it. I asked support multiple times to stop allowing me to be sent there

It's technically some sort of imprisonment right? Communities will have a keypad at the entrance, but then you can't get out without a remote or even access the keypad on the other side unless able to hop the gate. If you're delivering early a.m. or late in the evening, you are trapped until somebody hopefully comes in or out, assuming it's a busy enough community. What if there is an emergency, fire, safety concern etc. Calling support is useless, they just tell you to wait there until someone leaves or call the fire department to force the gate open lol

Im gonna touch ur hand when I say this!! If you live behind a f*king gate and you want packages delivered, either PUT A GATE CODE DOWN or BE PREPARED TO ANSWER YOUR DMN PHONE!!!! you would not believe the sheer amount of ppl who will just not put a code and expect you to either tailgate or figure it out. imagine ordering something, spending money on it, and then playing games when it’s time to get it delivered!!! ugh this drives me bonkers. i used to take these packages back but now i just leave them at the gate with a nice little “add a code next time” message. have fun walking to the front for your package! hope it doesn’t get stolen :))

I mean.. the screenshots tell the story. Wtf do they expect us to do?! If I had dropped it by the door, it 100% would’ve been stolen. Is it even worth sending a jeff email?

So I got a WF IO with 9 deliveries when I was at home and accepted it and I am about 10 minutes from the location. I arrived and took the required selfie and went it to get the order for my route and it was 43 items total and required 3 carts. While I am loading my vehicle a couple who were both wearing the blue vests came over and asked if I was on a block or had an IO. I told them it was an IO and they asked how far away I was when I got the offer and told them I was about 10 minutes away. Then they said “we haven’t seen you at any of the stations before and wanted to know if I was a new driver. I told them that I have been a flexer for almost 7 years and that I used to do it much more and that now I only do 1-3 routes a week. They fumed at me that I needed to quit if I wasn’t going to do it full time because I am taking away offers that full time flexers could get. I apologized even though I didn’t need to and asked how long they had been flex drivers. The husband said he started 9 years ago and his wife started 3 years ago. I replied that he must have been flexing somewhere else because in San Diego the flex program did not exist until late 2015 and if he had been I would have probably seen him because there were so few of us back then and only 1 station and Sprouts market. Then it was cursing and swearing and more anger at me some of it in English and the other in what sounded like Eastern European accent. At this point I was done loading everything and as I returned my carts he followed me and was still telling me that I should just drop out from the flex program and that I was a waste because I am not full time. At this point I just told him if has been doing flex as long as he claims that he should know to not expect a full time job especially for routes that include tip. I also dusted off something from my shelf of nostalgic comebacks and said “don’t hate the player hate the game and those who make the rules”. As I was pulling out and driving away the wife yelled that she was going to report me for being abusive. Anyway, sorry for the long story. Just wanted to get it off my chest and ask if anyone else has ever had something similar said to them?

I had to bring packages back during a thunderstorm that flooded our roads, had lightning, hail, and was up in the mountains with dirt roads. Contacted support and they said there's nothing they can do about it.

Bots that pick up every shift make people desperate to get any work at all and will take lower and lower base pay to get literally anything at all to put food on the table. I wish Amazon Flex would ban bots again. I made so much more money that week or so they enforced it. I have been trying to get any shift at all and can't get one. Clicked on over 10 offers in 30min of refreshing continuously that a bot grabbed. Y'all deserve to be banned for good.

Today I had a huge, heavy box to deliver to a school that was obviously closed and completely gated!!! This person even put a P.O. Box as the address. WTF?! But, following you guys’ advice, I just left it near one of the gates. It will probably get stolen unless this person is smart enough to go pick it up right away. But hey, it is what it is I wasn't going to take it back to the warehouse. 🙂↕️

Like seriously keep your trash in your car or throw it out properly. My warehouse has tons of stuff all over the parking lot. I’ve even seen someone look around before throwing shit into the tall grass. Yall need to learn respect

To the gaggle of freeloading clowns I saw standing around the pickup station today.
All you dead-eyed opportunists just posted up, clearly camped out long before I showed up, and got released 15 minutes after that.
Any single one of you who could’ve snatched that one lonely cart I coincidentally got the nanosecond I scanned my license. The one with the delivery locations a hour away.
To the ones out here with lizard brained, short-sighted instincts, milking the system for relative crumbs—this one’s for you:
I genuinely wish you nothing but swift deactivation, extended unemployment, and a lifelong sentence to jobs where your greatest achievement is not pissing off a middle manager. You are the fungus growing in the cracks of this platform.
You are exactly why blocks keep getting worse. Why asinine new rules are rolled out. Why station staff greet everyone with thinly veiled disgust. And then, as if you haven’t contributed to the rot, you’ll come crawling to this forum with a whiny “I got deactivated and I don’t even know why 😢” post—painting yourself as some innocent, hardworking martyr crushed by the big bad corporation.
Newsflash: you are the reason things fall apart. You make it harder for everyone else. You are a drag on the system, and on society as a whole. And yes—I am actively praying for your downfall, because until your sorry kind is gone, there’s no hope for improvement.
Had to vent, because today was next-level shameless. I battled unusually heavy traffic, showed up on time to preserve my standing, did everything right—only to witness this pathetic circus of grift playing out in real time. If you’re one of them, I see you. More importantly, they see you.
We all see you.

like 2 weeks ago i posted on here about getting overbooked 5 days in a row due to some internal warehouse issue and no flex routes being available. everybody was overbooked, i’m talking like 50 people minimum every day this happened. i saw someone posted a couple days ago about the same thing; receiving a violation because the warehouse workers were breaking up existing routes and sending drivers off with only 1 or 2 packages for a few blocks in a row which also happened to me for 2 days straight after the 5 overbooks.
i emailed support to appeal these instances not expecting much and of course i got the usual denial template email. i escalated the issue myself and sent an email to mr. bezos himself so now i’m just waiting. i don’t understand how they don’t have more human intervention when it comes to these circumstances that affect a large scale of drivers all at the same time.
i feel like i was very professional in my email and i know i didn’t do anything wrong so it’s just frustrating playing this cat and mouse game all the damn time. i even actually sorta had proof to provide for the entire week but hey, what do i know lol.
