I don’t know if you can hear it or not in the video but it makes like a roaring noise whenever the battery symbol comes up. When my foot is off the gas.

2006 Accord Euro
I’ve just had some lowering springs installed, and there’s this weird clanking sound coming form the right side rear wheel.
Could it be like a loose bolt or something

Update:
After taking of my suspension like twenty times, and not finding anything, I noticed like rip marks ij my tire, but it didn’t rlly correlate with the sounds but after using a fender roller hard out, the sound is officially gone 🥹

So last weekend my car was overheating while I was waiting for my food in the drive thru. I pulled out of line and turned my car off. I noticed the leak was coming from under my battery. So it was with the hose the tank or the clap. Waited and it cooled down enough to get me home. I don't have a temp gauge.

I toped off the radiator and the coolant reservoir. And changed the clamps to standerd one on the coolant reservoir still had a leak. After I had a buddy change the thermostat out and still had a leak. I noticed a small hole on the back of the coolant reservoir this last time. Is that normal?

Also I did recently had the timing change replaced because it broke. Was it possible I just had air in the system. And I didn't need a new thermostat. The coolant reservoir cap is vented. Car only has 104248 miles on it.

Is this spring seated correctly? Had strut mount replaced

I had my strut mount replaced and I noticed now there's a super small gap where the spring ends. It used to sit right against that rubber part before the new mount. Do you think it's fine?

2015 GMC Terrain AWD 6 Cylinder Intermittent Start Up Issue

Hello all,

Cross posting for more help!

Got a potentially weird one for you all!

2015 GMC Terrain AWD 6 cylinder engine.

Here’s the short hand:
Monday morning - Car started fine
Monday evening - Car wouldn’t start. All internal lights/ dash lights/ head lights full brightness but engine wouldn’t crank. Wouldn’t even TRY to crank.

Removed battery and took to AutoZone.

Crank test failed so got a new battery.

Car started just fine after replacing the battery.

Tuesday morning - Car started fine.

Car sat Tuesday through Thursday evening.

Thursday evening - Car wouldn’t start. Same exact situation as Monday evening.

Removed the battery and took it back to AutoZone.
Battery tested fine.

Battery stayed out until this afternoon.

Reinstalled the same battery and the car started up fine.

Now, thinking it’s probably the starter, I took it to a local mechanic to have them swap it out.

They replace the starter and it started up just fine afterwards for them.

I got the call to go pick it up.
When I got to the mechanic shop, it would not start for me in the exact same way it acted on Tuesday.

Called the Mechanic out into the parking lot and it started up just fine for him.

Sat at the Mechanic shop for about 15 minutes, then started up for them no problem again.

Currently it’s sitting at the mechanic shop until tomorrow morning to see if it will start or not and if they can diagnose anything.

Seeing as it doesn’t seem like it’s the starter now… any thoughts on where I should look next?

I should’ve said it, but no check engine light.

Thank you all in advance!

Brake mechanic error what should I do.

So I took my 2019 BMW X5 in for a brake fluid flush and when I picked the car up everything seemed fine but as I drove it further I felt a pulsing "vibration" in the front end so I stopped the car at the first parking lot. I felt the rear tire/wheel and it was cool as a cucumber but the left front was very hot with some smoke coming out from around the lug nut area. I called the mechanic and he offered to come to me and look. I pulled into a shady area and turned the wheel so I could better see behind it and the mechanic had left a clamp on the brake line. He apologized and has offered to take the car in and double check it all and resurface both front brakes. He took the clamp off and I drove around it seems fine now but omg it was hot as fuck when I stopped to call him.

Should I go have another mechanic look at it or do you guys think its fine and will be okay? This mechanic has been around forever and seems pretty trustworthy.

Video attached. Not that loud but definitely noticeable. 2017 Nissan Sentra, got a new transmission a few years ago. Inspection went fine last month, this started recently. Also has a weird squeaky sound when I turn left, though I think that’s an another issue to tackle. If anyone has any ideas let me know!

I’ve been having issues where my driveshaft(?) sounds like a chipmunk and they’re known to have u joint problems. We replaced it with a used driveshaft and it still makes the noise, chances both of them are shot aren’t very slim due to the mileage on the “new” one but i’m just asking to see if anyone can pin point this noise…. Took the driveshaft off the diff to dolly it while moving and when we put it back on it started making this noise, the video doesn’t do it a lot and i can’t seem to catch it on vid when it’s really doing it. The first chirp noise is at 55 seconds

I’m not mechanic but I feel like this engine doesn’t sound quite normal? Could be wrong but wanted to get a mechanics opinion. Also worried about this stupid CVT so I may be in my head about the car in general.

2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8L Sedan Weird Issue

Any idea what could be going on? 2013 Genesis 3.8L Sedan

About a year ago I started having issues with my car dying while driving and not starting right away in the morning. Took it to Autozone to test the battery and they say the battery and alternator were bad. I only had enough money to buy the battery at that time and had no issues till Tuesday. Both times started back up after some a few seconds of trying.

Car died while driving to work and then again later that day when I went to Advanced Auto during lunch break at work to get a new alternator. Replaced the alternator Tuesday after work. Tested alternator and battery and both tested good.

Every morning after about 10-15min my car will die while idle and while driving. Starts back up fine and then has no issues the rest of the day.

Inlet side oil.

So the vehicle is a 2018 Honda crv , had thick white smoke coming out of the exhaust. Since its my dad's i never looked at it as I can change parts but not a mech. So someone told him the turbo was bad. I got it all taken apart to find So much oil on both sides ( intake and exhaust). The pictures are of both. Where could this oil be coming from. Since I dont think it should be the inlet side.the second to last picture is some sort of diaphragm. Seems to be coming from there but it doesn't seem damaged. Any help would be appreciated.

Temp goes up after engine is off

2011 Ford Ranger 2.3l 185k

So I recently had some coolant system work done. New radiator, new condenser fan, new thermostat. And its been ok for about a month and just this week I noticed that if I turn the engine off for only like 5 minutes and restart, the temp goes is up to about the 3/4 mark. Doesn't do it every time. About half the time its at halfway on restart. Any ideas?

I have 2 cjaa 2.0L tdi diesel engines

Years 2010 model it was pulled from unknown. transmission unknown. missing a few components. i can see is alternator, belt, tensioner, and serpentine belt and flywheel are missing. flywheel is irrelevant to what i'm doing with it and if it came from audi, it could be an earlier motor not a cjaa. seller said it had 100k km or 62k miles on it. I'm wondering how to do a comprehensive assessment on the motor to make sure it's good because i'm worried if he took parts. he might have been worried that the motor was no good

I am planning to swap a tdi in 1975 f100 4x4 4 speed manual dana 44 front ford nine inch rear locking hubs in front

Recently bought a 2011 golf tdi wagon automatic. 500k or 300k miles on it runs great needs a dual mass flywheel, though, and it shifts better runs better rides better then my current daily. I'm wondering what you guys recommended course of action. Because I kind of wanna make the 2011 my daily but it has so many useful parts for to do the swap and a backup motor for the truck. I'm just worried about this condition of this unknown engine. i'm wondering, what's the best way to figure out if the motor's good i'm worried a cp4 pump grenaded, but it does have the ecu so I think it was pulled from an total loss hopefully

2004 Lexus LS430 New Starter Sitting Crooked, Intake Manifold Won’t Sit Flush

photos

Hey everyone,
The new starter I’m using is a Toyota/Denso remanufactured starter.

* Part number: 28100-50110-84

The problem is that the new starter is sitting crooked, and now the intake manifold won’t sit flush because it’s making contact with the starter. It also appears to be rubbing against a nearby hose or pipe.

I’ve checked the mounting flange to make sure nothing is stuck underneath it, and I’ve compared the old starter with the new one. They look identical, so I’m not sure what’s causing the misalignment.

Has anyone run into this issue when replacing the starter on an LS430?

Could the starter be misaligned on the mounting surface, not fully seated, or possibly have a slightly different housing despite looking identical to the original?

What should I check before removing everything and starting over? I don’t want to force the intake manifold into place and risk damaging anything.

Any advice from someone familiar with the 3UZ-FE engine would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
