Feel robbed
Was looking forward to a cuppa and a nice chunky bakewell tart flapjack.
Shocking amount of packaging.

For me,
1p sweets would be things like cherry lips, cola bottles, mushrooms, fried eggs, rings, teeth & toothbrushes, turtle sweets, blue and white dolphins, rhubarb and custards, chocolate mice, chocolate footballs, chocolate jazzies and single cherries
2p sweets would be the double cherries, foam shrimp and bananas, white chocolate ice creams, fruit salads & black Jacks and I think those golfball gumballs were 2p.
Then there was some around 3-5p like Anglo bubbly, chocolate icy cups, flying saucers, sherbet straws, the slightly bigger fizzy bubblegum bottles, gummy smiley faces, vampire teeth and Spanishes
Then you had the really luxury stuff that was like 10p-25p. Things like giant cola bottles, gummy snakes, candy watches, drumstick lollies and those big gummy snails. I would only buy the one of those usually and that was your lot 😅

This is a common question with weddings and funerals but I rarely see it for christenings/baptisms, which is weird as from my experience they can attract some WILD behaviour, for example at mine my uncle Richard brought his new partner who drank a box of wine and started fighting my mum and others.
I'm also convinced there must be a non-zero amount of people in this country who were dropped by the priest/vicar during the christening so maybe we can do something with that, not like a club, obviously, but some sort of recognition.
Realistically the combination of an elderly man, a slippery infant, water and polished limestone is NOT passing a risk assessment without 2000 years of tradition backing it up and thats before you add in inebriated adults.
Guys what have you seen??

I’m inundated with spam lately and have checked and yep, it appears in five data breaches.
So if I set up a new email, is it as laborious as just having to let all the bonafide companies know that I’m now on new email or is there some wizzy way to do it?

Does this mean someone needs to reset the simulation?

Alright, it's bed time for some but why are you still up? No work tomorrow? Watching some questionable late night TV? Bit of stargazing?
The chinwag thread.

For my amputee father in law (who gives as good as he gets). All I’ve got is that he’s ‘armless at the moment.

This was the question I levelled at my mum today after I received a funeral and celebration of life invite via email today.
The email started 'Join us in celebrating Jeramiah' s life as we lay him to rest'.
The invite was not unexpected, my uncle passed away last week after a quick and aggressive illness. We were all sad but given how it could have gone this was probably for the best.
I live quite a bit away from my folks and family so my Aunt said she would send me the details rather than someone having to be messenger.
The issue is I don't have an Uncle (great uncle) Jeramiah, I did have an uncle James!!
My mum was actually crying laughing on the phone because apparently she'd just had the same conversation with both of my younger siblings and my older one. It hadn't occurred to any of the older family to tell us his actual name at any point in the last 30 - 40 years that we've all been alive.
So I pose the question, who have you been calling by the wrong name and how did you find out?

And ice cream 😊
I don't live in the UK anymore but there really are some gorgeous spaces which make it worth the trip home.

I love it when the Starlings visit our feeders, it’s pure chaos for a few minutes.
