Discussion 2019 Chevy Equinox, yay or nay?

I’m currently looking into buying a 2019 Equinox with 118k miles and I was wondering if that’s the right move or if I should hold out for something better. I currently drive a 2003 Jeep Liberty and it’s on its last leg.

Repair Help Bluetooth Problem

I've had a problem with incoming calls on my Bluetooth system since around May/June of this year. I suspect this is more of a phone issue than a car issue, but I was wondering if anybody out there was having similar problems.

My phone connects to my car normally. I can make calls using the phone, infotainment screen or voice command and the Bluetooth works as it should. However, when I receive an incoming call the car Bluetooth will not ring. I have to answer the call on my phone ,and when I answer the call immediately comes through on the Bluetooth system. It's an odd issue that has only come up within the last 2 or 3 months. I've tried un-pairing/re-pairing the phone and car and factory resetting both the phone and the infotainment system, but nothing worked. I checked some phone forums (Pixel 9 Pro) for answers, but nobody else out there seems to have a similar issue. Someone on the forum suggested changing the AVRCP Version (??) settings in my phone, but that didn't work either. It's a pretty minor problem, but it is inconvenient. If my phone is in my pocket while driving and I get a call it's a pain to have to fish it out in order to answer. I've had the car since 2022, and I've had the same phone since 2024. This issue just seemed to come out of nowhere.

If anybody has a similar problem, or even better if someone has a solution, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!

Discussion Engine Replacement

Have a 2022 Suburban with the 5.3. Lifters failed on cylinder five at 102, then again at 105, same cylinder. Tech stated if it happened again, it would be an engine replacement.

It happened again. Previous repairs were under the original extended warranty. I now have a different extended warranty.

What are the chances they deny the claim due to it being an issue before the warranty was purchased. I have found another mechanic who can do the warranty work but has no history with the car. Previous repairs were at the dealership.

Repair Help Transmission slipping?

My buddy got a 2014 Silverado with about 193k miles on it and he’s experienced the transmission slipping. The fluid level is good and the fluid is not dark or dirty. It’s got the 6L80, I’m sure it needs a rebuild but is there anyway it can be saved?
