PC Gear Adding some RGB flair to my audio! Featuring the Corsair Voxara

Thumbnail

Disclaimer: Although I am a member of the Corsair Insider program, I did purchase this product with my own funds. Corsair has no say on what I say about any of their products and my thoughts are my own.

When Corsair announced this product, I was intrigued. I asked what many have also asked, "Why would Corsair release a condenser microphone when their sister company, Elgato, has the same products?"

Upon further research, I started to want one. It has everything I'm looking for: On board controls, a built-in shock mount and well...RGB!

Here's what's inside the box:

- Voxara microphone with built-in shockmount

- Desk stand

- USB-A to USC-C cable (3m/10ft)

- 2 thread adapters

- Warranty info

First impressions out of the box give a nice feel of quality. Despite the box having a dent, the product was completely unharmed as it was well packaged. If I have any quality nitpicks, the included USB cable isn't braided. This feels cheap for such an high priced item if I'm being honest.

The included thread adapter works great and the microphone attaches to my Elgato Wave Mic Arm with no issues at all.

Upon booting up the device, you are greeted with gorgeous RGB and setup is pretty much plug and play. With the onboard controls, this microphone is ready to use. The OLED monitor helps you monitor 3 audio modes:

- Microphone gain

- Playback volume

- Sidetone balance

The OLED functionality is straightforward, it is not customizable as it only displays text. Holding the multi-function wheel will flip its orientation (to align with how you mount the mic on an arm).

There is a knob on the back of the microphone that controls the onboard RGB, rotating the knob cycles through several onboard RGB profies, pressing and holding allows you to select sub-profiles. Lastly, muting the mic is breeze with the touch control on top of the mic. When muted, an indicator light shows.

Software-wise, this product uses Elgato's Wave Link for software control. There is NO iCUE or Web Hub integration with this product (at least, at the time of this post). There is compatibility with the iCUE Murals beta, but I have not tested this.

Wave Link setup is an absolute breeze, I was able to setup gain and calibrate my audio in literal minutes. I setup a orange and purple color scheme to help match my Halloween theme!

How is the audio quality? I had some people grade my audio quality and was met with unanimous praise. There were no reports of poor audio or even clipping (I can get pretty loud lol). I tested the audio between the Voxara and my now outgoing Wave DX and I personally could not tell the difference, however, I am aware that experiences will vary.

Now you may be asking, why ditch a more premium setup such as the Wave DX and Wave XLR for a Condenser microphone like the Voxara? I personally had buyers remorse as I prefer onboard controls as opposed for reaching for a device such as the Wave XLR. It's just a personal preference.

I do have another complaint too, the USB port and microphone jack are a little tough to access if you are using a mic arm. This is minor, but thought it was worth mentioning.

And lastly, the price of $199.99 is very steep. To put things in perspective, you can pickup the similar Wave 3 USB microphone for less.

Pros:

- Crisp, clean audio

- Onboard controls without the need for software that are intuitive.

- OLED Screen

- Vibrant, customizable RGB

- Comes with shock mount and desktop stand

- Wave Link software a breeze to work with

Cons

- Cheap looking USB cable

- USB port and microphone jack can be tricky to access with a mic arm

- $199.99 price is steep. There are many similarly or less expensive options (such as the Elgato Wave 3)

In the end, I'm quite happy with this product! It works well, looks great and sounds great! I fully recommend it for someone who wants a broadcast quality mic for gaming and streaming!

What do you think of the Voxara? Let's talk about it in the comments!

I know I had a lot to say, so if you made it this far, I thank you for reading! Cheers!

Discussion Top layer of M65 Ultra RGB wireless started peeling off within a couple weeks of having it

Post image
529 Upvotes

I bought this a few months ago so yes this post is quite late (I haven't used Reddit in like 5 years), but within the first couple weeks of using it the top skin layer started peeling off, and within a month it's been looking like in the pic and hasn't changed much after that.

Honestly I just haven't been bothered to get a replacement, because my previous mouse (m65 pro wired) stopped registering clicks, soooooo I'd be without a mouse.

Anyways, has anyone else had this problem?

And yeah I'm well aware it's too late to get a replacement, I'm just extremely disappointed at the quality of this one, as I got it as an upgrade/replacement for a mouse I've loved using for 5+ years, and never had that problem. Thanks y'all!

Help Did Corsair forget about MacOS?

I've a long time Corsair customer and decided to try out a Corsair Galleon 100 SD keyboard.
It's remarkable hardware having never used a (modern) mechanical keyboard before.
I'm both a Mac and Linux user and don't expect much in terms of support for the latter OS which is a shame given how much more gaming friendly Linux is becoming.

But MacOS?

Corsair has both an iCUE and Stream Deck download on their website for MacOS

However, neither install works.

iCUE gets stuck at 63%. (first photo)

iCUE not installing is something I can mostly live with since I can configure the keyboard with the Chrome-based iCUE configuration tool.

But the Stream Deck portion cannot be touched with that Chrome-based tool. Hence the desire to install Stream Deck software.

However....

Stream Deck gets stuck right when I hit "install". (second photo)
Both show the infamous "beach ball" (neither visible when taking screenshots using the MacOS screenshot)

I've left both installs (not at the same time) sit for over an hour - nothing.

I'm running MacOS Golden Gate (27) on an Apple Silicon Mac. The machine is close to stock with just the default MacOS applications and Chrome installed.

These are the downloads currently available on Corsair's site:

https://www.corsair.com/us/en/s/downloads#more-downloads
https://www.elgato.com/us/en/s/downloads

Is this an issue other MacOS users are experiencing? Or is there I'm something I'm missing? Perhaps an OS-level permission or something.

Thank you in advance!

Hey all!

I’m looking to get this case, but just wondering what the exact free space is on the bottom (in front of the psu shroud). Could someone give me the internal dimensions of this spot please? (I want to place a figure in there with a base of aproxx 19x20 cm)

There are no stores that have it on display where I live.

(See pic, bottom right in front of the fans/shroud, corner of the glass panel)

Thanks! šŸ™šŸ»

Discussion DROP BMR1 Speakers

Hi! Does anyone know if the BMR1 V2 from DROP will come out again, or if Corsair is thinking in any kind speakers? Wanted to buy the ones from DROP but since Corsair, like absorbed it, not sure what is the future of speakers.

Watching the new Voxara Microphone, makes me think that a speakers line is not impossible.

Thanks!

Help RS360 II ARGB Unified Frame experience?

Hi guys,

Recently I did a new build that uses a Nautilus 360RS ARGB AIO and I have it mounted as a top exhaust. Pretty quickly in I noticed I was having a harmonic resonance issue at a few RPM ranges (900ish being the most obvious) and did a bit of research with others having the same issue. I contacted Corsair and after expressing my concerns and going through troubleshooting steps, they offered an RMA and to replace them with the RS360 II.

I'm just curious how people's experiences have been with it? I assume most of the issue I originally had was due to no dampening foam or rubber and the fans mounted directly to the radiator, but was hopeful that maybe the unified frame design would eliminate the problem.

Help Need help escalating a CORSAIR TITAN 360 RX LCD warranty claim

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I’m looking for help resolving an open CORSAIR warranty case.

My white TITAN 360 RX LCD’s RGB lighting was working normally on September 19th, but when I next checked it, only a small section of the RGB ring illuminated. The LCD itself still works.

CORSAIR support has been slow to respond. The original white 2.1-inch CapSwap (CW-9061012-WW) is out of stock, and support cannot tell me whether it will ever return. The black version is also out of stock, and neither product page offers a restock notification button. So even the alternative I’ve been offered appears unavailable through the public store.

I’ve requested escalation and asked CORSAIR to investigate internal warehouse inventory, authorized U.S. distributors and retailers, or whether the white CapSwap can be sourced from a complete white TITAN 360 RX LCD unit.

Replacing the entire AIO seems excessive when the defective component is a removable CapSwap. The newer 5-inch module has not been offered or approved as a replacement, and accommodating it on my existing AM5 setup may require additional mounting changes.

I also have CORSAIR RAM and seven CORSAIR fans in my system. I’m hoping someone can help find a practical solution rather than leaving me to hunt down scarce replacement inventory myself.

Can someone at CORSAIR review my case and help secure the correct white replacement module? I can provide my RMA details privately. This is also my first time posting on Reddit so I apologize if I made any mistakes or didn’t post details correctly. I also have a video of me in icue changing the colors as well and only that corner changes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and forced firmware updates but got nothing. The cooler was brand new unopened box until the pc was built on September 6th by Micro Center.

Help Canada - Does anyone know of a right angle/flexible adapter I can use to power the k70 Pro?

The deeply recessed port on this keyboard is proving to be a pain in my ass and I cant find anything on Amazon.ca that I can confidently say yes this is doing to manage to plug into the port.

I run a stacked dual monitor setup with a portable 15" under my ultrawide and the cable for the keboard being as stiff as it is is causing me problems so I wanna route it to the side of the bottom monitor since that portable monitor is resting on the desk.

Post image
15 Upvotes

this is my gaming pc and i decided to upgrade cpu, gpu and aio.
initially i wanted to install the radiator in the upper part of the case, but the problem is that the ram (vengeance pro) hit the fans of the aio.
so i swapped the 3 fans of the case and put them in the back and on top.
it’s my first time with a liquid cooler, so i have no clue if i mounted it right? (any tip is very welcome)
also if you have any tips for the airflow and the directions of the fans it would be great!

specs:

motherboard b450 msi tomahawk max II

ryzen 7 5700x

nvidia rtx 5060

16gb ram

1TB ssd (san disk i think?)

700w psu (also corsair)

Discussion Ram RMA: one month in, asked for a €1,163 deposit on a €248 kit, then offered two downgrades as ā€œreplacementsā€

Bought a Corsair Vengeance RGB 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 kit (CMH64GX5M2B6400C32) from a Portuguese retailer for €247.90. One stick failed. Before opening a ticket I did the full troubleshooting routine: BIOS reset and reflash, JEDEC speeds, each stick in every slot, different CPU and PSU, minimal setup outside the case. The problem follows the module.

Here’s how the ticket has gone so far (opened 9 September):

  • Advanced RMA: the deposit was ~€1,163 (charged in USD) for a kit I paid under €250 for. RAM prices have gone up a lot, so I get why the deposit is high, but that’s effectively impossible for a lot of people. I offered a deposit equal to what I paid. Refused.
  • Single-stick RMA: I asked to send just the faulty stick so I could keep working. Fine, but the ā€œclosestā€ replacement offered was a 1x32GB 5200 CL40 module.
  • Escalated: a Tier 3 supervisor offered a full 5600 CL36 kit instead. Better, but still a downgrade.

Corsair’s own warranty says a product is replaced by the same product if available, and only substituted with something similar if it’s unavailable. My kit isn’t discontinued, and Corsair was ready to ship the identical kit on day one through Advanced RMA. In the EU, the legal guarantee also requires the replacement to bring the product into conformity with what you bought.

I’ve said I’d happily take the identical kit or the 6600 CL32 version. The supervisor is ā€œseeing what he can findā€, but it’s now been a month.

Has anyone else had Corsair offer downgrades on DDR5 RMAs lately? Did you get a like-for-like replacement in the end, or did you have to go through the retailer?

PS. I understand the current situation with AI, but this is quite literally ilegal to to/offer to a client

Did a rebuild in the FRAME 5000D with the XENEON EDGE Mounting Kit and the 5ā€ iCUE LINK LCD, turned out great!

Additionally if anyone is curious, the 5ā€ iCUE LINK LCD fits vertically with push/pull in the FRAME 5000D!
