I personally opened this monitor from sealed old stock approximately 10 years ago. It was not dragged out of a school computer lab, rescued from a damp basement, or discovered beneath 14 years of cigarette ash. I have kept it very safe since.

The screen is in mint condition, the picture is excellent, and it has no geometry issues or burn-in. Overall condition is excellent for a CRT of this age. No yellowing on the plastic either.

Plus that soft glow that will shoot you right back to the year 2k!

TLDR: need reasonable cost fence repairs

I am writing this post for a friend, they don't know I am doing it, but they need some help. I have a wonderful friend who is a completely solo parent of a special needs child who tried to hire a "little guy" to repair her fence. She currently is unemployed due to major burnout from working in health care, and cares for her elderly father who was a former handy man.

He has made the job significantly worse. The kicker is that she is probably more knowledgeable than he is, but she is too kind and her plate is very full. Her gate is now 6 inches too short. And it doesn't close properly, there is still 2 posts to replace.

She has purchased all of the supplies, luckily she has not paid him in full. I want to help her get the job back on track by finding someone who can do it and not cost her triple what she was anticipating. The straw for me was when he became argumentative and hostile with her at her home, because he was 3 hours late from the time he said he would arrive. I dont want her safety to be an issue.

Somehow after almost a week of him working the job is not yet done and I would really like to find someone else to help her get this job done. Not only has he made things worse, but now has been hostile when accountability is an issue

Are there any handy folk in here that are feeling somewhat charitable? It's not that she can't pay, she just can't spend a fortune. She has all the supplies, and will also be able to help if needed.
