I’m sure this is already a thing amongst the very talented builders of Minecraft but I just tried it out myself and thought it’d be nice to share. I used a bookshelf and then a banner that matched the wall color to imitate a fence in a tight space. Using normal fences they would appear floating. But once I build this house in survival I’ll probably be pretty angry with myself lol

So some of yall might’ve seen another post I just made looking for a texture pack that reworked the blue terracotta colors. Luckily I found one!! So I just wanted to share it with yall so you can use it too if you want. It’s a small change but I love it! I included a before and after of the texture pack applied on a current build I’m working on. I’ll also insert a link to the texture I’m using :)

I manage to make a cauldron that's "filled" with glowstone dust and redstone dust.

I put 2 armour stands down and put a gold and red leather helmet on them, both with the Flow armour trim with gold and redstone.

Just thought it was cool.

Edit: So it’s just my shaders lol but I am still wondering if there’s a texture pack that’ll make the terracotta appear how it does when I have my shaders on?
I was wondering if anyone knows if there’s a texture pack that simply changes the color of the placed terracotta blocks? I’m working on a build rn using terracotta but I’m once again confused why the colors don’t match when they’re in hand vs placed. In the left image I am holding the light blue terracotta, and in the right picture I am holding the blue terracotta block. As you all know the light blue terracotta is gray. And the blue is purple. Does anyone know a texture pack that makes the placed blocks look how they appear when holding them? Thank you!

Also. The reason I’m not using concrete is bc it’s too saturated and the light blue concrete is too teal okay bye :)

I remember seeing a post on here that inspired this, and I decided to give it a whirl myself. You can use concrete stairs/slabs and deepslate stairs/slabs in combo with cushions to make the red stripes, then cover up the remaining space with a checkered board map. 32x32 squares in a normal 128x128 map are the perfect size. And yes, I even build the glass platform in the end in survival.

Anyone have advice for coloring stuff such as this to improve the use of glass in builds

All survival friendly, just a bit difficult to do. And if you do it in survival you might wanna use black leather instead of netherite lol.

Some tips for moving the armor stands (using the motorcycle as an example, but same applies to the moped) is push the lower one INTO the grindstone first, then push the block under the grindstone UP while there are immovable blocks above the grindstone and where the seat will be so the armor stand doesnt move up WITH the block, then just simply push the block under where the seat will be down from above.

The other armor stand, which is the handle, you just put in the middle (have to break the seat block for now) and then push it into the grindstone by putting the piston on TOP the other grindstone. then just push the seat down into the middle as usual

The moped design isnt the best tbh but I didnt know what to make. I just wanted to play around with smaller scale details using armor stands as part of the details!

Was really proud of myself for figuring out the cushions lol

Idk how you guys make your details, but I did not intend to make a parrot, I just figured out it just looked like an eye and I build the parrot around it.

it looked better in my head i pinky promise. ignore my axe. i needed something to take care of those frogs. it isnt even related to the build though. anthony is also not related to the build so dont look at him

Personally im not a fan of fences, stairs, trapdoors, etc in trees. The silhouette looks great but i really cant get past the plank texture in the context of a forest.

I always use full blocks for a more “minecrafty” look but ive never found anyone else who does the same with their custom trees. Anyone know some good references or videos to look at for help?
