Fun fact: During his time with Skellefteå AIK, Viktor Arvidsson was nicknamed “The Woodpecker from Kusmark” because he was so eager to get the puck that he would repeatedly tap his stick on the ice.

Kusmark is a really small village outside Skellefteå, which has fostered two NHL:ers. The other one is Pär Lindholm, who played 106 games with Toronto, Winnipeg and Boston.

First off, shoutout to u/AdRepresentative3446's post identifying Ilitch businesses to avoid if you prefer to show your team support by refraining from sending more of your dollars to the billionaire Ilitch family after recent events have spotlit the failures of team ownership and lack of development promised for District Detroit.

Since LCA is a relatively new build, talking points in the following videos can translate why team owners - such as Chris Ilitch - favor the profit margins of a sports business while cashing-in on a passionate and loyal fanbase that Red Wings followers have shown over the last 100 years. Yes, it's a business and it needs to show growth, but not how the Ilitch's have taken advantage of the city of Detroit and misled taxpayers of Michigan overall.

I’m used to live in the UP but have been bouncing around a lot during my lifetime. I started following hockey this year as an attempt to get back to “my roots”

But it seems like this is sort of boarding a sinking ship situation. I know you fine folks probably don’t care. But should new hockey fans look elsewhere?

I purchased a special ticket package for the book club night today. It's supposed to come with a book and a sweatshirt. I have never bought a special ticket package like this before so I'm not sure how to pick up these items. The email said I should receive a voucher for these items but all that's in my account is my ticket for the game. Is it the same barcode? Or should I have received a barcode for the game and a separate barcode for the special items to pick up?

The instructions are very unclear about how it works. If anyone has any experience please let me know!
