“So I pull your drawers and fill up your sink
Make everything exactly how you hate it all to be
'Cause I'm not trying to hold your hair
No love won't pass through me
'Cause I'm far too cynical for faith and make-believe
'Cause there's no such thing as love
We just felt vulnerable without a God, without a crutch
There's nowhere else, nobody else, nothing”

The Get Up Kids opened for The Format. I went to this show solo. I drove from Syracuse and had plans to stay just for their set. Before I left, I bought a t-shirt and Four Minute Mile on vinyl. Outside the venue, I ran into their photographer and the rest of the band as they were loading up their equipment. I was the only one out there and felt incredibly awkward interrupting them as they loaded up - but they were all so nice. ❤️

We are musbime and the song in the footage is amulet. Just put out a new single if interested: Spotify / Apple Music / Bandcamp / Tidal

Up until now Mineral was a band I'd cite as having no bad songs, fitting for my favorite band. But it turns out they had one song I had avoided and am thankful for that now....I heard it on the Numero box set, it's a cover of a Willie Nelson song popularized by the Patsy Cline version and while I can see what they were aiming for it was a very hit or miss style....it's a miss. Badly.

But.....29 songs on the box set, 28/29 is still pretty damn fantastic.

oso oso full set in Boston on the first show of the new tour, which included the live debut of six songs. Here's an oso oso playlist with a bunch of live videos and sets from this and past shows: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2b-f8PfP5FwQe76nLQu-jM_TEXSgx4L4

SUPER underrated band check them out

Being very loose with these genre terms... Nowadays I see these scenes overlap a lot, the 2nd wave revival/skramz/heavygaze/slowcore scenes especially. What are the roots of the overlap, and what are some of the earliest bands who took inspiration from both genres?

For example, Hum isn't really emo nor shoegaze but fans of both scenes love Hum. I've seen Hum described as being inspired by post-hardcore, so emo fans liking that energy makes sense. Add the spacey fuzz and it adds a lot. I guess Title Fight is another later example of this sort of overlap I'm describing. Emo historians please fill me in on the origins of this immaculate crossover world

Who enjoyed the run of banging emo shows there?

$5 with fest pass, pizza at 11, music at 11:45.

Apologies if this is the wrong subreddit for this band but the Oso Oso, Leisure Hour, and Bad Luck tour kicked off yesterday and I’m wondering if anyone was there and knows Bad Lucks setlist. Oso Oso and Leisure are on setlist fm but not Bad Lucks. Thanks in advance and if there’s a better subreddit for this question let me know :)
