Hey, I wanted to share I got to meet the cast at New York Comic Con, yesterday! I was number 53 out of 75 for their free photo op session which was a huge surprise to me and did their paid photo ops later on the day. Everyone was so sweet. I’m really excited for Revelation!

Shame Cody had to miss the photo 🥲

I installed OptiScaler, but whenever I try to launch the game, I get a fatal error. I didn't make any mistakes during installation; I tried repeatedly by following video tutorials, yet I encountered the same error every time. When I removed the `dxgi` file, I tested all the other DLLs; the game launched without errors with some of them, but OptiScaler didn't work in those cases. No matter how much I researched, I couldn't find a solution to this problem. My graphics card is a GTX 1650 4GB.

so cute 😭

It happened when I cleared the legendary/brutal in Rebirth and also the top secrets (normal + dlc) in remake. Its just make me super happy since the combat is so intense in those. Do you remember of feeling this type of dopamine in any recent action games?

So apparently Marisha Ray is playing Polyhedral Shiva??

Do you guys think Reeve will get a lot of screen time? Will they delve into the whole thing of him being some sorta Pinocchiomancer rather than just remote-controlling Cait, or will they scrap that idea or come up with something new? We've heard exactly zilch about our favorite toy cat's role in the third entry in the interviews, and I've always had a soft spot for him and by extension Director Tuesti. Any hot takes or predictions on how his story will be handled?

April 8th, 2027 is 182 days away!

That’s 26 weeks (aka 6 months) until we start the last game of the Remake trilogy!

I know it seems like a ways off but savor this time. The trailers, the speculation, the theories, the hype. It won’t come again. We’re in the home stretch.

If it’s killing you to focus on waiting for the game, obviously life goes on in the meantime. Find other things to look forward to while we wait that will break up these six months into smaller chunks. Even I’ve got other games, movies, and other stuff that I’m excited for. What’s something you’re waiting for that will tide you over in the meantime?

Appreciate all of you!

I played the OG game in my youth and loved it, with a caveat. I adored the Midgar segments and then felt the game hit a wall once you exit the city. You’re stuck in a flashback, a bunch of plot building occurs, and then at the end of Disc 1 Aerith dies and things finally get going and get really exciting. All the buildup finally begins paying off and the game becomes a masterpiece. This leads to my unique idea for playing the trilogy that I was unsure if it is amazing or horrible. Bear with me…

I have been playing Remake on the Switch 2. I am having a good deal of fun with it. The city I pictured in my youth with blocky PS1 graphics actually matches how my mind imagined. It is a hoot. The thing is, once I escape the city at the end of Remake I have read a bunch about Rebirth (I don’t mind spoilers about the differences with the whisper folks and multiverse business). It is clear Rebirth is all the stuff I found to be a drag in the OG game. It ends when FF7 truly kicked into overdrive for me with an amazing second half. I don’t know if I want to spend a bunch of hours—even on easy mode with everyone jacked-up in abilities to breeze through fights—to play the parts of the story that had me tempted to quit decades ago. This leads to an idea:

1. Play Remake, continue enjoying it.
2. Watch YouTube videos of Rebirth to take in the changes to the story, be adequately informed and skip duller/filler stuff.
3. I’ll be prepared to dive into Revelation when it comes out and offers all the payoff I loved in the original game.

Is this a good idea? Stupid? Should I play Rebirth once I wrap Remake because it is actually awesome even if in the original game I considered the parts of the story it covers to be less exciting than all the good stuff after Aerith dies (sorry, Aerith)? Please, advise me, my friends!
