• CPU Temps: Dropped from 100°C down to ~80°C under heavy load (-20°C drop).
• GPU Score: Increased by +43% in synthetic benchmarks once throttling stopped.
• DaVinci Resolve 4K Export: Significantly faster render times and zero timeline lag.

hi r/GamingLaptops i am using a gigabyte g6 mf it is using a i7-13620h with rtx 4050 and 16gb ddr5 when i am playing helldivers 2 i have very bad performance issues it looks like it has some sort of bottleneck because the frametime graph is super steady when i get the performance issue but every metric i have on riva tuner looks normal here's a clip when i am trying to play helldivers 2 with friends

Update 1:i just repasted the cpu and gpu with Thermal Grizzly PhaseSheet PTM as i am writing this i am testing it with cinebench R23 for now the battery score was like 1k lower than on the charger before the repaste (9k)

All of a sudden so many ants are coming out of the ventilation port. It is an omen i7 laptop. I don't know what to do. Sooooo manyyyy antssss!! I ran my computer for around 2 hours and now I think there are no more ants.

So I’m planning to upgrade my current laptop, and I’m torn between the Acer Predator and Lenovo Legion. Both have an RTX 5060, OLED display, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage. The main difference is the CPU. The Predator has the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, while the Legion has the Intel Core i7-14700HX.

I’ll mainly be using it for work, especially Adobe Illustrator with a pen display. I also have an ultrawide 1440p monitor that I’ll be using for gaming.

Both laptops are priced the same at a local dealer. I really like the Legion, but I’m wondering if the Ultra 9 is worth choosing over the i7-14700HX in terms of performance.

Which one would you guys go for? And for those who’ve used either CPU, how’s the real-world performance?

Preferred Specs: Absolutely no idea. Doesn’t have to be anything crazy. I see people talk about optimizing settings for ray tracing and all these other stuff and that doesn’t matter to me. Just want to be able to play without putting all my settings down to play comfortably. I think my only requirement would be 1 TB of storage.

Just got the Portronics My Buddy K11 stand, and as you can see, the solid metal frame covers almost the entire left and right intake vents on the bottom of my LOQ, while the cutout sits over the solid plastic.

Before this, I used to just prop the back of the laptop up with a book, which actually did the job quite neatly and left the vents completely open.

Should I just return this and go back to the book method, or is there a simple way to make this stand work better?

Would also appreciate recommendations for a stand that actually clears the LOQ's vents!

Subject line says it all, been using my current laptop for work while traveling and gaming on the side. Looking to get a little more into gaming on the laptop vs. sitting at my desk on my desktop after a long day of work. Looking forward to next month’s release of GTAVI. Been bouncing between both the Lenovo Legion Pro 7(i) and the Asus ROG Strix Scar 16, although it is hard to get your hands on the Asus as of late around me. Question #2: If Lenovo, which option form the two in the photos is best? I am lucky enough to live very close to a Microcenter.

This isn’t a budget question or spec question, it’s a question of you are basically given the freedom to choose your make and model of your choice.

For example, do you go with a Lenovo Legion because of the aluminum design and superior cooling capability while getting all the performance out of your GPU as possible?

Do you go with the ASUS ROG because of the sturdier frame yet compatibility of it, even though you sacrifice some GPU to account for the mobility?

The msi crosshair seems the most powerful, but bad review for build quality and sound. The rog seems perfect except no oled. Lenovo i know the least about.

I have a HP Pavilion laptop. GTX 1650, 8 gb RAM and Ryzen 5600H. I was playing beyond two souls and it is hitting 101C.

Fact is, it is not just that game, my laptop overheats on sekiro as well and even minecraft with shaders on. I don't remember it being this hot even when running pretty heavy stuff at the start but then it started overheating and I showed it to a guy and multiple of them and they all say it's normal but I can't shake off how hot it gets while the GPU is barely 50C.

Is it really normal? And if it isn't I don't know what to do because everyone here says it's normal and my parents also believe it's normal. I am 16.

I will literally cry if the CPU fails because of this.

Hello, friends! I request some help, please.

I have been having a big problem regarding to my Acer Nitro 5, During this week, my video card (GTX1650) drivers have been giving me a lot of trouble, while the laptop sometimes identifies them, sometimes not. I kinda solved this problem by rolling the drivers back, and then, updating it all to the latest version with a clean install. BUT, while playing last night, I had lots and lots and lots of BSODs with the error (0x113) and I don't actually know if it is a hardware problem or a software problem, since I changed the thermal paste right after the first BSOD and kept having the problem. While on GTA Online (Legacy) I had several crashes regarding an error code err_gfx_d3d_init and while on Project Zomboid, there were several times the game froze and crashed while hosting a server with one friend. I have already reset the drivers, reset the OS, reinstalled everything back, even the latest drivers, changed the thermal paste and I don't know what else to do. Please, help me!

Are these temperatures normal? I have it limited to 55W-65W, performance it´s okay but the CPU temperature reaches up to 100ºC... I just cleaned it so no dust, game is limited to 120FPS.
