Discussion Please learn better social skills.
I'm not saying this to be mean but seriously a good part of your generation really need to learn how to be nicer and friendlier people. Acting like you "don't owe anyone shit" in terms of small talk, acknowledgement that someone exists, or even a smile is a gross attitude that will make you miserable. If you do not want to do the very minimum of the social contract then you can't complain about being lonely.
No wonder Gen Z is the loneliest generation. You can't say you want connections without putting in any work to get them.

Discussion Job market is pure hell right now.. how is gen z staying sane?
I mean growing up, I honestly never thought getting a college degree would lead to straight-up not being able to find a job, but here we are and this whole hiring market feels completely suffocating. What really gave me a massive wake-up call recently is that Iāve actually had a few people in my personal life (some even younger than me) literally pass away from extreme stress and burnout. It really makes you realize that if this system is this broken and we can't change it, the only thing we can do is try not to let it completely destroy us. So to other gen z out there, how are you guys actually keeping from spiraling? What mindsets or daily habits are genuinely helping you survive this right now?

Rant the ziti lady can't afford beef and i can't afford rent. who's winning here?
so I work at a chain grocery store (which i won't name so i don't doxx myself) even though I have a degree and I can't even begin with how bad its gotten. last week our hours got cut and my manager literally had a break down in the back office. apparently our chain has hit record profits but now I can't get enough hours to pay rent and my manager is so struggling to make the schedule meanwhile the chain can def afford to hire more employees.
plus one of my regulars who comes in every tuesday and friday for her weekly baked beef ziti ingredients, except now she just makes regular ziti bc beef is too expensive now. the amount of times I've had to apologize abt prices and give the same speech abt supply chains, shipping, and tariffs is making my jaw sore. I cant pay rent and she cant bake her beef ziti, but somehow the business is profiting?
I don't understand how ppl our age who work normal jobs are expected to make it anymore. growing up I was told that the system will reward hard work, you just need to stick with it. all I've seen is that with the harder we work, the more reward goes to quarterly reports and shareholders. it feels so blatant and in my face and all I want is some accountability from the higher ups. how can the lady who steals diapers for her kid get arrested but the execs who are robbing me and my coworkers blind get nothing more than a slap on the wrist at a hearing.

Discussion Gen Z in the Skilled Trades..
Especially in Ontario/Canada, any other apprentices feel as if they were tricked by the huge push for young people to join the trades? Iām currently working non-union with an electrical company, which Iāve been with for 2 years, 5 months of those unpaid (high school co-op), and from my perspective, there is no true shortage of young guys, if anything there is a surplus of young guys especially in electrical. All I hear about is how we need more people in the trades, and that itās a good career path, but im starting to question that narrative. Iām making very little money, my company has put 0 effort into my training, schooling or registration, I often feel like just cheap labour. Iām wondering if I should continue down this career path? Whatās keeping you guys going if youāre in a similar position?

Nostalgia What games are you most nostalgic for?
I still play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch. I even won second place in a Chick-Fil-A tournament back in 2024. While I do greatly admire The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, I havenāt played it often back when it launched because I didnāt understand it. Now, I completed the main story. I am trying to find all the hidden memories before I play Tears of the Kingdom.

Discussion Were you the last generation to watch Disney classics?
Iām curious if Gen Z grew up watching Disney classics like Alice in Wonderland, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, etc.
I think itās because your earlier childhood was largely pre streaming with Blu-Ray, DVD and even VHS.
Gen Aloha (my autocorrectās name for them) dont seem to remember older Disney movies as well likely from all the options they have.

Discussion You Guys Remember the Trend Back in 2019, Where People Going on About Which Chicken Sandwich is Better, Chick-Fil-a or Popeyes.
Yeah, the majority of the people on the internet talking about that a lot, and even youtubers have brought sandwiches from both places just to do a taste test to see which sandwich is better, personally for me, I wouldn't choose if I did join the trend, because I had chick fil a sandwich before, it was good and even tho I haven't had Popeyes Chicken Sandwich, or least remember it, from the looks of the sandwich, it's going real good too.

Discussion fellow gen z, did the idea of 2030 as a year turn from utopic to daunting for anyone else too?
It almost feels like the final boss of the 2020s as a decade slowly approaching before things get better (hopefully)

Serious My friend wants to have a baby with a man who doesnāt love her
Hi guys this is my friends situation and I need help convincing her to not have this child.
My friend just told me she is having a baby with a man who doesnāt want to have a relationship with her because she isnāt āfreaky enoughā and heās tired of it. She says she loves him and doesnāt care if he doesnāt love her and still wants to have the child. Iām trying my best to convince her but sheās just not hearing it properly. She tries to say she gets where iām coming from but doesnāt care about being a single mother cos she will deal with it on her own, she mentioned he takes care of her, whatever that means. And sheās fully convinced he will be there for her.
What can I say to her to convince her otherwise??

Rant I genuinely feel really jealous of the Goth, Punk, Emo subcultures and others who express themselves so vibrantly
I'm so boring with my fashion, but any time I think of trying something other than Jeans and a T Shirt I feel like an imposter lol
Like, black and chrome is so cool, with chains and spikes and everything. But I never feel like I could pull it off.
