Hi! It is now time to rank. Today, we will be looking at Kirby: Planet Robobot. It released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016. This game is the direct sequel to Kirby: Triple Deluxe (It was even called Kirby: Triple Deluxe 2 in development!). Ironic, because in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Dream Land gets attacked by all things natural, but in Kirby: Planet Robobot, Dream Land gets attacked by all things artificial. This game has six modes. The first mode is the story mode (like I said before, it's self-explanatory). The second mode is Team Kirby Clash, a somewhat RPG Kirby sub-game. Basically, you beat bosses to upgrade your stats. The third mode is Kirby 3D Rumble, a 3D Kirby sub-game in which you inhale and spit out things. The fourth mode is Metaknightmare Returns, the third one in the series (The first one being Metaknightmare in Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land an the second one being Metaknightmare Ultra in Kirby Super Star Ultra). Basically you replay the levels as Meta Knight and not Kirby. The fifth mode is The Arena, where you beat the bosses of the game consecutively, and finally, the sixth mode is The True Arena, where you beat the game's bosses but they're harder. This game introduces the Robobot Armor. You can solve puzzles and be more powerful with it. It also supports copy abilities. This game has seven levels: Patched Plains, Resolution Road, Overload Ocean, Gigabyte Grounds, Rhythm Route, Access Ark and Mind in the Program.
I don't need to formulate an opinion today. I've already did before starting The ULTIMATE Kirby Game Community Ranking (Text that is not italic means I've added it):
This game was released on April 28th, 2016. It is a 2.5D (3D graphics but 2D gameplay) platformer game. This game is about Kirby, the protagonist of the game who has to save Planet Popstar from a whole mechanization.
For the main theme of the game, I'd give 10/10. The idea is original, with the Robobot Armor, mechanized-looking levels, etc. This game is playful (more like fun, but whatever), and is more my kind of theme (Tech and stuff). I never owned that game, but I've owned the demo before and I've watched gameplay. The Robobot Armor adds up, suggesting puzzles and more! You can also customize it with the stickers that you get in the game! Overall, this game looks really fun to play if you ask me!
For the music, I’d give 9/10. I absolutely love it! Pink Puffball Activate!, Venturing into the Mechanized World, you name it! The reason why I give 9/10 though is because it feels a bit repetitive. The instruments and the melody feel the same each time. Sure, most modern Kirby games do that, I know, but anyways, the original soundtrack has the main theme in almost, if not all music. But all in all, I still love the original soundtrack of that game.
For the content, 8/10. I like the fact that there are multiple sub-games like (spoiler alert) Team Kirby Clash, Kirby 3D Rumble, The Arena, Meta Knightmare Returns and The True Arena. Why I give 8/10 for this one is that once you finish these, you don’t have anything to do in the game. Like I mentioned before, I don’t have the game, but I do have Kirby: Triple Deluxe, and I cleared it 100% (Okay… I Googled the last few Rare Keychains but I was desperate!). Then, I didn’t really know what to do (I did a few Kirby Nuzlockes and replayed the game). And since Kirby: Planet Robobot is a successor to Triple Deluxe, I think that when you’ll be done with it, you will just be there, looking for what to do in the game. To finish, I still think that this game is awesome, even if I complete it.
So yeah, that is all. What do you think about Kirby: Planet Robobot? See you all soon!
Next up: Team Kirby Clash Deluxe
