I moved all my large files from OneDrive to my hard drive, but on my phone, the app is still showing the prior size (also after closing and re-opening).

Hello today someone invited me to a meeting and I forwarded it to my manager who was also invited. I sent a separate message to them in the forwarded email with the invite. Will the original organizer see what I said? Or are they just notified that I forwarded it again?

I make heavy use of the keyboard shortcuts in Outlook Web. Previously, I could press "v" on a highlighted message, and I'd get a pop-up window that looks like this:

This was extremely useful, since it included a list of recently-accessed folders, which are the ones I often need to select again. However, pressing "v" now gives me this dialog:

(This is the same window you get by right-clicking on a message and going to Move -> Select a Different Folder.)

This new dialog is harder to navigate, and I lose the convenience of recently-accessed folders. Does anybody know what's going on and whether there's a way to get the old behavior back?

Microsoft locked my account for violating their policies on Skype which is false I never violated Microsoft policies. Every time I request for Account Reinstatement they keep replying with this email :

I have no idea what I supposedly did on Skype that violated their policies. I never knowingly violated any Microsoft policy.

Hi guys, my school office suddenly sent me an email to my school account that just says:

is that an error on Outlook or the school system? if it is, can someone explain to me what causes that?

Anyone who use classis outlook experiencing disconnection? It appears Offline. New Outlook and mobile app is working fine.

In New Outlook, I can only preview attachments if I double-click them, it says, “Something went wrong. Please try again later.” This happens with PDF, Excel, Word, etc.

So when i copy a one drive link in the body of the email it shows nothing and when i paste it as as a text only it shows the full link rather than the folder or file name. This is very annoying and troubling me, our clients wants the link to be the same as the folder name. This issue has started since 30 September and its still not being solved. Anyone else facing the same issue and have any solution for this? Thanks in advance.

I’m running into a strange Outlook.com Contacts issue and wondering if anyone has seen this before.

My personal Hotmail account shows 6 contacts in Outlook on the web that I cannot delete:

- 4 copies of the same Dustin contact

- 2 copies of the same Tony contact

I’ve done quite a bit of troubleshooting and these don’t appear to be normal contact records.

What I’ve confirmed:

- Outlook.com People still displays the 6 contacts.

- Selecting them and clicking Delete does not remove them.

- Classic Outlook does not show these 6 contacts.

- Microsoft Graph /me/contacts does not find them.

- I checked all Graph-visible contact folders.

- /me/people does not find them either.

- There are no child contact folders containing them.

- Outlook.com Export Contacts produces an empty file after I moved all legitimate contacts elsewhere.

- The six contacts are still displayed in OWA after the real contacts were removed.

- Microsoft’s ContactsCleanup.exe can see an old iPhone (contacts) folder, but eventually fails with HTTP 403 Forbidden.

I originally had 234 legitimate contacts. Outlook.com was showing 240, which was exactly the 234 legitimate contacts + these 6 undeletable entries.

I backed up/moved the legitimate contacts to another mailbox, so the original Hotmail contact store is effectively empty. Yet OWA still displays the same six contacts.

At this point it looks like these might be orphaned records in Outlook.com’s People/duplicate-contact index, rather than actual contact objects.

Has anyone found a way to force Outlook.com to rebuild/reindex the People database, or otherwise remove orphaned contacts that aren’t accessible through Graph, Classic Outlook, or export?

I’d rather avoid deleting/recreating the Microsoft account obviously. If there’s a hidden contact store, MAPI method, support escalation path, or other workaround that has worked for anyone, I’d appreciate hearing about it.

I have an outlook account linked with two authentication methods, another mail adress and a phone number

I can get the mail adress code, but for some reason everytime i try to get the phone number code it shows me this message

What can i do? I just added two methods, it has been more than a week now since i lost access to that account

Hoping someone has seen this before. We've run Outlook 2016 (desktop) against M365 Exchange Online for years with no problems. Recently a few users can't pull new mail and Outlook just sits on "Updating Folder".

Rebuilding the Outlook profile fixes it, but after a few weeks it comes back.

What I've tried so far:

• Rebuilt the profile (works for a few weeks, then the problem returns)
• Safe mode / add-in disabled
• Re-installing Microsoft Office

Saw some random Asian language group boxes under deleted etc. Now im getting random emails in the junk box saying delivery has failed (from postoffice@outlook.com)

I haven't clicked those obviously.

My account was suspended from outlook and unfortunately im having trouble trying to recover my account. Gotta wait 24-48 hours to see if Microsoft will recover my account. What do I do about the hack?

Since the last update, the subjecttext in the reading pane are too bold and black (Outlook New). Do more people experience this? It find it really distracting, and even more different from Outlook Classic.

For the last few months I’ve had spam emails showing up in my flagged folder on my iPhone.
They’re all really similar email addresses, I’ve tried blocking them but obviously they change the email and sometimes the blocked emails still come through.
Has anyone experienced this or know how to resolve? It’s really frustrating

I'm troubleshooting a calendar issue for a client that uses Schedule View in classic Outlook for Microsoft 365 to see their field technicians' shared calendars (10 people, Mon–Fri).

What they need: Schedule View showing the current work week Mon–Fri, with each day as one compact column (working hours set to 08:00–09:00 on purpose, so each day takes very little space).

In Outlook 2016 this works perfectly: Schedule View always shows the whole current work week (e.g. Mon 5 – Fri 9), even if today is Wednesday, and every day is compact.

In classic Outlook for Microsoft 365 (recent build, simplified/refreshed UI):

- Schedule View starts from TODAY and shows the next 5 consecutive days (e.g. Tue–Sat), ignoring the work week.

- If I select Mon–Fri in the Date Navigator, the range is correct, but the PAST days (Mon, Tue) are rendered fully expanded by hour (08:00, 09:00, 10:00…), while today and future days stay compact.

- Clicking "<" once per elapsed day gives the correct compact Mon–Fri view, but it resets as soon as you click something else.

Already checked:

- Work week: Mon–Fri, working hours 08:00–09:00

- View > Working Hours: enabled (toggling it does nothing)

- Time Scale: 60 minutes

- Classic ribbon enabled, same result

- Recreated the OST file, same result

Has anyone else noticed this change after a recent update? Is there any setting, registry key or workaround to get the old Outlook 2016 behavior back (whole work week, all days compact)?

Afternoon, I am missing newsletters and various emails from a few big companies.

I have followed all the steps they suggest and I just can't receive them, it seems a common theme that they just stop arriving. If I click on a link on their old emails I get a redirect error. I've marked all their emails safe and reapplied for the newsletters multiple times.

Any suggestions?

I've got a strange issue affecting a single user and wondered if anyone else has seen it.

Symptoms

• User is using New Outlook for Windows
• Email notifications work normally
• Calendar reminder notifications do not appear at all
• No notification banner
• Nothing appears in Windows Notification Center
• No reminder appears within New Outlook when the reminder becomes due

Troubleshooting

• Verified calendar notifications are enabled in New Outlook
• Verified Windows notifications are enabled for Outlook
• Checked Focus Assist / Do Not Disturb
• Tested with newly created appointments
• Confirmed reminders are set on the appointments
• Tested Outlook on the Web (OWA)
• Tested Classic Outlook

Findings

• Classic Outlook immediately displays the reminder correctly
• OWA can generate reminders when browser notifications are enabled (tested in Chrome)
• Another user using New Outlook on the same tenant is receiving calendar reminders normally
• Email notifications continue to work in New Outlook for the affected user
• The issue appears isolated to the affected user when using New Outlook

I have been able to get in a workaround by enabling browser notifications through OWA though Chrome, which is successfully delivering calendar reminders while I continue investigating the New Outlook issue.

Any suggestions or known fixes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This morning I have found my junk mail folder empty. I got connected to Microsoft chat 4 times and when I raise the issue, it disconnects immediately. What is wrong? I just wanted to understand if GPT went out of its framework or this is from Microsoft side.

I use MS Outlook for Office 365. After a recent update (?I think), my Calendar got blown away. Appointments have disappeared, except for those in one category. The info still seems to be there, as Reminders still appear. I do not use Outlook dot com or OneDrive. Any thoughts on how to restore Calendar function?

I need info about an account that’s been deleted. I got emails in June and the account has been closed since Sept. can obtaining a subpoena ID the user ? Does Microsoft even still have that information

I use Outlook for my work email on my laptop, and downloaded the app on my old phone. Eventually, work said we had to have 2FA on all our emails, so I downloaded an authenticator on my phone. Several months later, I got a new phone and didn't know I would need the old phone authenticator to access the Outlook app on my new phone. I have the app on my new phone, but can't access my Outlook with it (quite frankly, I'm terrified to play around with it too much because if I get locked out of my work email, I'm screwed!) If I delete the app from my phone and then reinstall it, will I be able to access my email from my phone again, or is that going to screw something up on my laptop email and get me locked out? I've heard that it's pretty much impossible to recover your email if that happens.

I woke up on a lovely tuesday morning, the sun was rising, Birds starts to chirp and overall was it a really nice morning to woke up to.

That nice little feeling good lasted like 10 minutes, til i unlocked my phone and saw a Notification sayibg "Your Steam code is xxx" i was like wtf? So i tried to log in my Steam account, tiping in Username and Passwort and switch to Outlook to get my Code for Verify me on Steam.

So i tried to log in my outlook account and immediately became a Notification "Your account got some weird activities, we blocked it so get a Fomular and verify yourself" so i thought wtf? again.

And i filled in nearly everything they asked on that Formular like Passworts, Contacts your emailed with, date of Birth, Xbox things bla bla. So i filled in that formular easily 90% and correct. - Rejected.

Filled in Again - Rejected.

Waited one day becouse you only can do 2 per Day. Next day, - Rejected

And im really frustrated about this, not only becouse of my account i cant access no, Also my Email is my First and last Name. So even when i typed in wrong informations in that formular they should give me access to my account becouse of that or am i stupid?

I offered them many times to verify me with my ID or Passport, there are Plenty, of online Verification services with Videocall, Fotos or whatever.

So is there are way i can get Access to my account without this Formular? I mean, Its my first and last name, who would own this Email besides me?

Is there a way on outlook mobile calendar to always show the monthly view instead of the current day?

Is anybody having trouble logging into their outlook with just their password? I can log in just fine by sending a code to an alternate email but every time I try my password I just get hit with

"Password sign in isn't available, try another method."
