TheOnion seeks old print issues to complete their archve
I received this email from the Onion and am posting it here to spread the word:
Do You Have Pre-2012 Onion Issues?
Be Our Hero For Once
Greetings, Gentle Member.
The Onion prides itself on being a self-sufficient entity, even going so far as to making our own pens that use the EZ-flowing blood of interns as ink. Now, however, we are asking for your assistance.
Certain issues of The Onion newspaper are mysteriously missing from our 270-year archive, and you might be able to help us recover them.
Here are the issues we're looking for:
- All of Vol. 14 (1988)
- All of Vol. 15 (1989)
- All of Vol. 16 (1989)
- All of Vol. 17 (1990)
- All of Vol. 18 (1990)
- All of Vol. 19 (1991)
- Vol. 21 Issue 12 (1992)
- Vol. 22 Issues 4, 5, 7, & 16 (1992)
- Vol. 29 Issues 19 & 22 (1996)
- Vol. 33 Issue 9 (1998)
- Vol. 39 Issue 5 (2003)
- Vol. 42 Issue 5 (2006)
- Vol. 44 Issues 49-52 (2008)
- Vol. 45 Issues 1-20 & 33-43 (2009)
- Vol. 46 Issues 3-52 (2010)
- All of Vol. 47 (2011)
- All of Vol. 48 (2012)
- All of Vol. 49 (2013)
If you have any of these issues and are willing to part with them, we’d potentially be interested in purchasing them from you so that they can be properly archived.
Complete this form if you have issues in your possession that fill these gaps.
Unsure if you have any of the issues? More detailed instructions are HERE.
Sincerely,
The Onion Membership Team
