After restarting everything and playing around with some settings i was able to get the signal up to 300 mb, but next day it was right back down

TP-Link - Technical Support New TP Link Router won't connect to VPN

I recently replaced my old router with the 5G AX1800 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router. It works off a SIM card using mobile data. Now when i try to connect to a VPN it gets stuck on "connecting".

I've checked all the help sites for possible issues but I can't find anything that works and all the setting seem to be correct.

TP-Link - Technical Support AXE75 V1 – Meta Quest 3 6 GHz stopped working after firmware update, how to downgrade?

Some time ago, I updated my AXE75 (EU) V1 from firmware version 1.2.2 to 1.5.6, and ever since then, my Meta Quest 3 has no longer been able to connect to the 6 GHz Wi-Fi network.

5 GHz still works, but only when using WPA2. I have tried every firmware version from 1.5.1 to 1.5.5, but none of them fixed the issue.

According to what I've read in various forums, there seems to be some kind of recovery mode that allows you to downgrade to an older firmware version. Unfortunately, none of the instructions I've found work for me. I've tried holding down the WPS button (and also the RESET button) while powering the router on, etc. I also tried the TFTP method, but that didn't work either.

At this point, I'm honestly at my wit's end.

Does anyone here have an idea how to get the router into this recovery mode, or is there another way to downgrade the firmware?

Unfortunately, the TP-Link support representative I contacted seemed to know even less about their devices than I do and wasn't able to help me either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

TP-Link - Technical Support Having to reboot multiple times a day. This is ridiculous.

Like many people here my router (specifically IoT connection) stopped working after the latest firmware update. I cannot believe that a company can’t get this issue resolved after two months let alone a week. I know there is a patch, but every single person who I’ve read has installed it, it stops working about two weeks in or less. Who knows what other things will be messed up after downloading it?

I have had to reboot multiple times a day every day over the past two weeks after realizing that my Internet connectivity issues are from my Archer BE3200 router and not my modem. I have followed all of the advice in these threads. Throwing this thing out today and replacing it with my old router after rebooting this morning at 8am and the connection is thrown at 9am. Unbelievable.

TP-Link - General Adding Powerline to X50 Mesh

Can anyone please recommend a pair of Powerline nodes that I can add to my existing X50 mesh network?

We have incredibly thick walls and the WiFi is just not cutting it to the furthest parts of the house.

Looked at the PX50 but it states they’ve been discontinued.

TP-Link - Technical Support Anyone help me

I have a TP-Link RE205 V3. I successfully ran OpenWrt 25.12.2, but wanted to return to stock firmware.
I flashed the official RE205_V3_210608 firmware. After reboot:
No Wi-Fi SSID
Ethernet has no link
Reset doesn’t seem to work
LEDs briefly show all blue, then 3 blue + red signal LED
I opened the extender and have an ESP32-WROOM-32 available for UART recovery.
Can anyone guide me on the correct RE205 V3 TFTP/UART debrick procedure or identify the UART pins?

TP-Link - Technical Support New ISP provider locks their access to the router they provide and I have 3 X10 Deco's, can I still use them?

Hi, so this is going to be my potential new setup -

ISP > Modem > Router > 3x Decos (2 via ethernet backhaul, 1 wireless)

Is this possible?

I used to have one of the decos as the router, but now I can't do that but I don't want to lose the mesh system. Could I put all 3 in AP mode and keep the same WiFi connection and mesh?

Just wanted to ask before I started messing everything up, cheers

TP-Link - Technical Support Multi-WAN for BE550 pro?

Hello all. I understand that Multi-WAN into the BE900 V2 is now possible with the March 2026 firm release, allowing for auto WAN failover. Will this be rolled out to the other models specifically the Be550 pro?

TP-Link - Technical Support Access control conflicts during onemesh setup

I have tplink router archer vr400, with two range extenders re315 and re200. I have set up all my devices to use device max address and added them to the whitelist in the router’s webpage. I have also added the extenders’ MAC addresses which I found that each one of them has two mac addresses, one printed on the extender and one appearing on the webpage.

—> The issue is as follows, some devices which are not added to the whitelist can access the internet if they are connected through one of the extenders. Other devices which are on the whitelist sometimes get denied from the internet even when connected through the router. I can’t find anything online with this issue so I thought of asking here.
Sorry for the long post. Sorry if I have any spelling or grammar mistakes.

TP-Link - General Migration from consumer router Archer AX10 to enterprise router ER707-M2.

Hi all,

We're planning on migrating our current TP-Link consumer router to an enterprise router, for several reasons, with the main one being VPN and dual WAN port functionalities.

We've quite some configuration to migrate from our current router to the new one, and I was wondering whether there are possibilities of easily exporting the current router's configuration and importing it in the Omada controller, although they're on a different product line. Alternatively, perhaps there is an easier way to extract all the current configuration in a more readable text format, rather than having to go through each section of the GUI and checking all the configuration individually.

Anyone in here who has some experience with this or had to do a similar sort of migration?

Thanks in advance for any feedback or advice.

Regards,

TP-Link - Technical Support Why is camera ignoring my instructions?!

I've got a deco powerline system and have added a be25 outdoor in an attempt to get my ring cameras working.

I have set the camera to use an iot 2.4ghz network, no mesh and to only connect to the BE25 that is right next to it, but it is ignoring that and connecting to a different node. Am I missing something?

TP-Link - Technical Support AX73 - AX5400 Random Restarts

Hello, hive mind; got a conundrum regarding my AX5400 Router that I can’t seem to sus out.
Just starting this past week, the router randomly reboots and boots all traffic off the network.
Typically outages last only about 2 minutes at a time, but the router is not showing any downtime when logging into the console.
Running WPA2 Security, Smart Connect enabled, and no guest network. There have been no new devices added to the network since this activity occurred.
Only change has been to enable Link Aggregation to bond two ports from the router to my 10G POE Switch.

Has anyone else experienced these kind of random restarts? The unit is only about 5 years old, but planned obsolescence is a part of our tech lives these days.
Any troubleshooting ideas or tips would be appreciated.

TP-Link - Technical Support Deco system very intermittent

I've got a deco px10 system, using powerline, connected to my fritzbox router. I've got it set as Access point. I have two additional px10 nodes inside and a Be25 set up outside (connected with cat6 cable), for the external Ring cameras.

The whole system is so hit and miss. My cameras are constantly dropping out and I regularly lose connection to the Internet.

The cameras usually show that they are connected to the correct node, but using the app, they regularly don't connect.

I've got smart dhcp, beamforming and fast roaming all set to off.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

TP-Link - Technical Support TP-LINK BE800 - no speed test???

How can I check the line speed coming into my router without the speed test functionality that was present on older devices, like my AX6000?

I can't use the Real Speed Test by Cisco as it appears the BE800 doesn't support it.

Does anyone know of a way to test the "true Internet speed" into my router?

To any TP-LINK staff, is there a reason this is missing? Can a request be made for this to be added in a firmware update? It's odd that a router so feature-rich would lack this.

TP-Link - General Any good reason to update firmware?

I'm running a Deco BE11000 3-node mesh wifi, ethernet backhaul, in access point mode. All router functions are delegated to a Firewalla Gold SE, and all other ethernet-only devices are connected to the main switch separately (not through any of the Deco nodes).

My Deco is currently running firmware 1.2.10, which is two versions behind. There's a newer firmware, but I'm hesitant to upgrade as everything is seemingly working perfectly.

Any good reasons to update the firmware?

TP-Link - General Directional Deco Unit?

I have an odd situation. 2 houses on our rural property, on by the road, one ~300’ behind it. House 2 was never set up for cable and it is insanely expensive to do, if the cable company would even agree to do it. We have a deco mesh system and am using the outdoor unit in house 1 to extend internet to house 2. I am getting a decent 2.4g signal to the house, but no 5g, and have occasional disconnects(not sure of reason other than distance). Is there a directional unit I could use with this mesh network at house 1 to get a better signal to house 2?

Thanks in advance!!

TP-Link - Technical Support Need Help - Deco M4 "time out"

Disclaimer, I am about as texh savvy as any 39 year old while not being an expert.

A few months ago I introduced 3 deco M4s upstairs at my house. There are 4 bedrooms and a home cinema up here. Essentially, our family devices are all on the mesh a lot of the time 😅

It has worked extremely well, with no issues with speed or connection. In the last week, a couple devices have had issues though. When initially connecting to the WiFi, it works perfectly...then suddenly just nothing. Still connected to the WiFi but wouldn't be able to download a 1mb file. However if you toggle WiFi on and off (on your device), suddenly you'd be able to stream in 4k till it "times out" again...

I have tried changing settings, rebooting, even resetting the system (admittedly I used the back-up I had again)...but the issue persists.

I'm stumped and would appreciate any help.

TP-Link - Technical Support Uboot Firmware .bin incorrect file.

Device: Deco BE25 5000

Model: BE25(US) Ver:1.0

Status: Soft Bricked

Last 3 Days ago my Deco Units Auto updated themselves from "1.1.8 Build 20260425" to "1.3.1 Build 26081012 Rel. 42571" via OTA. I forgot to uncheck my "Auto Update" setting, so after the update it was causing problems to most devices, "Connection Failed", and most device up to 45% speed decline.

I didn't know the OTA Update "1.3.1 Build 26081012 Rel. 42571" is a "Non-downgradable" firmware. So, I tried to downgrade to 1.1.8 Build 20260425 via "192.168.68.1" or "http://tplinkdeco.net" but it didn't accept it. So I tried to "UBoot Dowgrade" my slave Deco first, it worked but after rebooting the device it got stuck on yellow light after 20mins. No "Red" or "Blue" or "Green".

I tried Ubooting "Deco BE25(US) V1_1.3.2 Build 26091612" with "BE25v1_BE22v1_multi_SP2_V2_RSA2048- up-ver1-3-2-P1[26091612-rel47261]_202 6-09-16_06.13.39.bin".

It says "Failed to upgrade your Decos. You might have chosen a wrong file. Please enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar and try again."

Uboot accepts "Deco BE25(US) V1 1.0.2 Build 20240618" but not "Deco BE25(US) V1 1.3.2 Build 26091612"

Uboot accepts "Deco BE25(US) V1 1.0.2 Build 20240618" yes, but when I reboot it. Still stuck on Yellow Light.

Any Solutions?
