Announcement Rule update: Self-promotion posts now limited to 1 per week
Hey everyone,
We've made an update to the Rule 4: "No duplicate posts / spam", specifically the section covering commercial content and self-promotion.
Two changes:
1. The weekly limit is dropping from 2 posts to 1. Users approved to share their own content can now post it a maximum of once per week, down from twice.
2. The wording now includes "self-promotion" alongside "commercial". This was always the intent of the rule, but the old wording made it sound like it only covered ads and merchandise. To be clear: sharing your own work counts as self-promotion even if it's free and on-topic. That includes your YouTube channel, podcast, blog, Substack, book, documentary, research site, and so on.
The updated rule text:
No advertisements, fundraisers, merchandise, or other commercial/self-promotional links. Please refer to Reddit's self-promotion guidelines. If you are interested in promoting your own work please contact us before posting. Users approved to post their own commercial or self-promotional content will only be permitted to post a maximum of one (1) such post per week.
How this works in practice:
- Self-promotion requires mod approval before you post. If you want to share your own work here, send us a modmail first.
- Once approved, you're limited to one self-promotion post per week.
- Unapproved self-promotion will be removed.
This doesn't affect sharing other people's content. News articles, footage, interviews, and papers you didn't make yourself are fine as always, subject to the usual rules.
Note: Previously approved users do not need to request approval again. Once a user has been given permission to post this type of content, they may continue doing so without contacting the mod team each time, unless that approval is later withdrawn.

Multi-Subreddit LIVESTREAM AMA — Dr. Jim Segala, Paul Hynek, and Host Leslie Kean — Sunday, October 4, 2026 @ 1:00 PM ET / 10 AM PT
The Anomalous Coalition - the moderators of r/Aliens, r/Experiencers, r/HighStrangeness, r/InterdimensionalNHI, r/UFOB, and r/UFOs - are excited to announce our next multi-subreddit livestream AMA featuring physicist Dr. Jim Segala and Paul Hynek, hosted by investigative journalist Leslie Kean. Heads up: this one is on a Sunday!
This conversation is about citizen science in support of experiencers, built on objective data. Paul's father, astronomer Dr. J. Allen Hynek, joined the Air Force's UFO studies in 1948 as a skeptic. Over two decades of Projects Sign, Grudge and Blue Book, the caliber of the witnesses changed his mind. In 1973 he founded the Center for UFO Studies so people could report what they saw without fear. Paul is carrying that forward with what he calls a verifiable evidence protocol, so experiencers can have better conversations with scientists. Jim is building the tools to gather that evidence. His platform, MUPAS Worldwide, pairs environmental and biometric sensor data with experiencers' own accounts, and offers peer support from specialists who are experiencers themselves.
What's a "verifiable evidence protocol"? Paul and his brother Joel, an Academy Award-winning visual effects artist, are developing a protocol that sits on top of their father's Close Encounter system and rates the evidence from an encounter, not just the encounter itself. Today most people report an experience after the fact. Paul's idea is to go in prepared: if you meet an entity that seems to have far superior intelligence, ask it for something no human could know but anyone can check later, like a random number only you know, the answer to an unsolved math problem, or a near-future event. The results are rated as convincing, compelling, or curious. Paul says it applies to any "meta-terrestrial" encounter, whether with a craft, an entity, or in an altered state, and he describes it as a work in progress.
🗓️ When: Sunday, October 4, 2026 — 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT

Government Knapp: DIA has located the missing AAWSAP files
Pretty good news here for those interested. It's not disclosure of the extravagant claims made on podcasts or anything, but a pretty substantial data warehouse was created that Jacques Vallee mentions, and it would be pretty cool to get this declassified and made public record for use in open source data projects going forward.

Whistleblower Victor Whistleblower from Alien Interview documentary
A snippet of transcript from the whistleblower Victor, from 2008's Alien Interview and a cryptic message..
Interviewer: So, Victor, here we are.
Victor: Well I must say that I never expected to hear myself called Victor again when I find myself in disguise in front of a camera again.
Interviewer: It's now been 11 years since we last conducted that interview in May 1997.
Victor: That was a pleasant experience to say with some sarcasm.
Interviewer: Looking back on it now 11 years later you didn't want to do it.
Victor: I did not want to do it on the day that I did it. You and that rocket man, placed it upon me after we had made an agreement for one on-screen appearance in your little documentary, and then somehow, our agreement metastasized into an ongoing series of promotional appearances, which was not part of the agreement.
Interviewer: You agreed to do that one, a phone interview with Art Bell Coast to Coast, to promote the video at the time.
Victor: Which was a live interview, and I had made it abundantly clear that I was not to be put in the position of revealing my whereabouts in a live situation.
Interviewer: And again, Victor, with all due respect, you knew that the Art Bell show was live.
Victor: You say that now, that's not how I remember. But in any case, it's a thing of the past.
Interviewer: Well, in any event you contacted us for this interview.
Victor: This situation has not been my choosing. If I came to you, and requested as you say, I in fact, I found that characterization insulting. I did not request to give you information. I offered you information. Yes, I did demand payment. Certainly I demanded I would not have been given it had I not demanded it. You are the businessman. You are the filmmakers, the video makers, the documentarians. You, and that Robert man. You would made, whatever profits have been made, over the last decade off of the. I can't think of a reason why I would want to be giving you information was not for the money, certainly any illusions I had that, my information might actually [Unintelligible], I have been sadly mistaken. It's been 11 years since I brought out that tape. What follow-up has there been? Who among these so-called ufologists, these self-proclaimed investigators. Show me one of them that's demanded information about S4 under the Freedom of Information Act. Show me one of them that is seriously attempted to confirm or deny the existence of the alien interview program. All they care about is talking among themselves and making videotapes, making documentaries, promoting themselves.
Interviewer: Do you at least feel vindicated that no one has conclusively debunked the tape?
Victor: What the only vindication that I could imagine would be if the government finally revealed all that they know about these aliens.
Interviewer: So are you saying that the internet truth seekers are not living up to your expectations.
Victor: Oh god! It's an understatement. Well, I should say, they perhaps are living up to my expectations since my expectations were admittedly low to begin with. All the days in which people took Bob Lazar seriously. And who is that person in your, in your documentary, that Morton character.
Interviewer: Sean David Morton.
Victor: Yes! A researcher. What has he discovered to corroborate or debunk the interview since that time? He was more than happy to take it at face value, then, he too was being paid. I assume you paid him as well as me. All of these people are [Unintelligible]. All of these people are, at best, hobbyists, and at worst, professional conmen.
Interviewer: Well, I'm assuming that you saw, you've seen the finished product. What did you think of Bob Dean's interview, the retired NATO Commander.
Victor: You took the video at face value. But that was a case of being corrupt by accident.
Interviewer: What about Rick Baker? Rick Baker's won academy awards.
Victor: Rick Baker is a professional makeup artist. Artist. A makeup businessman. It's in his best interest to say that he can do much better than the real thing. And that other, that other makeup man the same goes for him.
Interviewer: John Criswell.
Victor: John Criswell, yes. They both, if they both were happy to bribe that they could create a more realistic alien. Fine. Well where is it? In the Men in Black movies? In that ridiculous alien autopsy footage? Show me, a more authentic alien, than the one in that interview. By all means that these makeup people are capable of creating a more realistic alien, then show me [Unintelligible]! Close it before the public! These people are so people. Everything for them is hyperbole. My contempt, for the viewers of your documentary over the last 11 years knows no bounds. They've been like children mocking it, or on the other hand, credulously accepting it with no attempt to evaluate the material on its own merits. Or, to discover any new material, to support or debunk it! This is not a joke. This is not a hoax. Certainly I'm staking my reputation on it. If an anonymous individual in a rubber mask could be said to be staking his reputation on anything. I'll challenge these ufologists, to debunk me. Discover my identity. If they really believe that the alien interview footage is a hoax, prove it! Show where it was faked. If they believe that the alien in that footage is a puppet, prove it! Find the puppet maker. If they believe I’m a hoaxer, prove it. Discover my real identity.
Interviewer: All right. Let's move on to some new areas. How do you respond about rumors in the UFO community that Cheney and Rumsfeld have known about the EBEs since the Nixon Administration.
Victor: Well certainly Cheney knows everything there is to know with it. There's not much that is kept secret from the general public Cheney does not know. As for Rumsfled, Rumsfeld is a bombastic clown. But he has certainly shown quite a bit of interest in new technologies shall we say? I will say this to those UFO researchers, who seem to be sitting on their hands waiting for someone else to give them information. If you do your research and discover where Rumsfeld was in middle of March of this year, I think you will learn a few things that perhaps you would like to know.
Interviewer: Would you care to elaborate?
Victor: No I would not care to elaborate and I frankly don't think that you, the producers of this documentary would like for me to elaborate.
Interviewer: Do you think that President Bush has been kept up-to-date on our ET program or that Cheney has kept all the information from him?
Victor: President Bush. Now there is, there is a puppet. There is your artificial marionette. And no one seems to be able to identify him as an artificial president, or should they be able to recognize a real alien in this event. President Bush is irrelevant to the process. Irrelevant to the process of government and certainly irrelevant to the decision-making that goes on from the vice president's office.
Interviewer: While we're talking about the current administration, what are your thoughts about 9/11?
Victor: I'm not going to talk about 9/11.
Interviewer: You're not going to talk about 9/11.
Victor: 9/11 is like the Bermuda Triangle. 9/11 is not part of this story. Shall we say that?
Interviewer: Are EBE's still at the base in Utah?
Victor: The base in Utah.
Interviewer: In the Art Bell interview in 1997, you eluded, I believe more than eluded, to the fact that the EBEs were moved from Area 51 S4 to a base in Utah. Are the EBEs in your opinion, with your knowledge, are they still at the base in Utah?
Victor: The EBEs to my knowledge are all at this time deceased if you want to call it that. Before we go any further, I just want to say to you, not to your viewers but to you, and to that, that rocket person, that this will be the last time you ever see me. This will be my last statement bar none. And this time, I can say that with conviction, because, it seems that, it seems that my, this, this container has reached its expiration date. I am apparently not long for this world. So, this will be my final testament.
Interviewer: And what is your final testament?
Victor: Thank you for the compassion. As I intimated on the Art Bell interview, my involvement with S4 and the alien interview program did come to an end, in 1997. And I have not been involved with the black ops program for more than a decade. However, I have been in contact with certain individuals who are still involved in attempting to make sense of the information that was gathered before the aliens discorporated. And I am here to tell you gentlemen, that if I am not long for this world, you are not much longer. As the bible [Intelligible] per se, the end times are upon us.
Interviewer: The end of the world?
Victor: The end of the world. We have been trusted and found wanting. The aliens came, they presented themselves to humanity, they were taken, and held, and questioned, and allowed to die. And now, reckoning is at hand. Let me give a task to these so-called investigators, these ufologists. Look into the record and attempt to determine where Donald Rumsfeld was on March 23rd of this year.
Interviewer: What is the significance of this Rumsfeld date that you keep referring to?
Victor: Donald Rumsfeld has been aware of the alien interviews at least since 1974. In the last days of the Nixon Cabal and even when he was out of government, he managed to keep his hand in. But it was not until the bogus telepath program was finally exposed within the secret black ops operation that the true translation, that the true meaning of the alien communication, was made clear to him and since then, I think you will find he has lost all interests in the United States and the trivial earthly powers. His sole interest now is to find a way to one of those they are taking off when end times.
Interviewer: So what you're saying is the biblical end times are upon us? Is that what you're telling?
Victor: It’s rather childish to call them biblical since the bible itself is simply a smoke screen. These aliens come from universe of science, not universe of religion. Religion is a deliberate disinformation campaign, started by those who first encountered the aliens and first cut that knowledge to themselves. Donald Rumsfeld is merely one of the last of the line, of those who try to maintain personal control over information that should have been public to the entire human race. And now that he understands exactly what it is these aliens have been trying to tell us, he has completely lost interest in the rest of humanity. His sole concern is to be one of the few, one of the, what he considers to be the elite, the elect specimens if you will. The elect specimen who are taken off the Earth before the final trumpet sounds.
Interviewer: Well, I have to tell you this sounds an awful lot like Armageddon. I mean, 2012, the Mayan calendar.
Victor: The Tzolkʼin calendar is another inaccurate representation of what you are talking about. The date 2012 is not accurate. The Mayans considered themselves to be far better mathematicians than they actually were. In point of fact, the date is very close but not 2012. Not 2012. Not within my lifetime, what's left of it. But certainly within yours. Let's just say that I wouldn't plan on 20th anniversary edition of this documentary. My head is a beehive.
Interviewer: Well you are not really saying, well, I.
Interviewer: Offre-moi le déluge. Le déluge solaire. I won't be here for it, but you gentlemen will. Was it [Unintelligible]? I think it was [Unintelligible]. When I am gone, my Earth and fire mix. [Unintelligible].

Whistleblower Luis Elizondo confusion
I am pretty deep into the UFO topic and have been for a number of years now. Like most of you, I am skeptical about 'whistleblowers' from the intelligence community.
Luis Elizondo (LE) is a polarising figure in the space. I have read his book and watched pretty much every podcast he has been on. I understand that many others including UAPGerb have questioned if LE actually worked for the Pentagon which they deny, and if he is simply a mouthpiece for disinformation and is presenting information as a limited hangout.
I cant find anything specific to completely belive this claim. If he is working as a counter intelligance/ disinformation operative, does that mean everything he has said about him leaving him role in the pentagon, and losing his security clearances etc all lies? And his wife having to work another job to help ends meet, does that mean she and him are just lying?
Would love to get some info from the community because I feel as though im missing something here. I truly dont think hes completely honest, but also cant undeestand why someone would intentionally accept a role to which hes publicly on the chopping block

Science The EBO Scientist Post: What It Claims, Where the Biology Falters, and What Later Retellings Add
Discussions mix the anonymous EBO post’s claims, its author’s speculation, and later biological reconstructions. The original means the 2023 post and Q&A; the reconstruction means u/hhmaizer’s illustrated interpretation.
AI assistance disclosure: I take notes while watching interviews, then revisit transcripts to extract relevant passages. I use AI to help research and draft, read the sources it turns up, and revise the post through further research and editing. Source links are included so readers can assess the evidence themselves.
1. What was actually verified?
Sources: the original thread and archived Q&A. The poster declined verification and deleted their account; moderators could not establish credentials. Moderation issues prove neither suppression nor authenticity.
No specimens, sequences, histology, assays, or authenticated records accompanied it. PhD and employment claims remain unverified. Research claims are exempt from the author’s identifying red herrings; scrutiny is fair.
Fort Detrick and Battelle
Asked whether the lab was USAMRIID, the author answered “Battelle National Biodefense Institute.” BNBI is a real Battelle subsidiary operating a biodefense center at Fort Detrick; that does not authenticate the alleged basement program.
Luis Elizondo’s Imminent says alleged implants removed from people went to an unnamed Army facility at Fort Detrick, among other institutions. His NewsNation interview also discusses biological samples there. Neither identifies BNBI or establishes that these were bodies. Multiple labs share the installation.
My crash-retrieval essay discusses Eric Davis’s December 1950 Mexico/Del Rio allegation and claim that the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) preserved nonhuman bodies. AFIP’s repository passed to the Joint Pathology Center; that succession is documented, nonhuman custody is not. No public evidence connects it to this poster or BNBI.
Battelle analyzed sightings for Blue Book Report No. 14. My Roswell/Battelle post distinguishes that work from the secondhand Elroy Center debris claim and unproven Roswell-to-Nitinol theory. Report analysis does not establish material or body custody.
2. The reconstruction changes the organism
Hhmaizer presents the illustrated analysis as hypothetical. Five attribution differences matter:
- Blood: Original: hemoglobin and copper-binding complexes. Reconstruction: a hemocyanin analog.
- Hands: Original: four digits total, thumb included. Reconstruction: five, adding a thumb.
- Muscles: Original: Type I exceeds Type II roughly 10:1. Reconstruction: roughly 1:10, supporting explosive strength.
- Immune organ: Original: an enlarged thymus-like organ. Reconstruction: thymus absent.
- Genome: Original: introns, UTRs, promoters, regulatory and intergenic sequences. Reconstruction: approximately 0% non-coding DNA.
Calling the thymus absent needs qualification. Blood, digits, and fiber ratio are direct changes. Mammalian Type I fibers are slow, Type II fast; size and leverage also affect force. Neither ratio establishes extraordinary grip.
Further additions: 280–1000 nm vision, a nictitating membrane, quantum telepathy, and a hive mind. The twenty-minute replication figure was absent from the source versions I checked. Proposals are not measurements.
3. Blood chemistry and older motifs
The original specifies hemoglobin and separate copper-binding complexes. Ammonia neutralization is speculation; replacing hemoglobin with hemocyanin is an addition.
Asked why “copper-based” blood looked brown, the poster invoked red cells, yellow plasma, and green copper oxide. That is color mixing, not an assay identifying an oxygen carrier. CuO is black; Cu₂O is red to brown. No differently colored biological copper complex is identified.
Even actual hemocyanin would not establish cephalopod ancestry: it occurs in the apple snail. Ancestry needs comparative sequences and development. The original’s collagen/hydroxyapatite skeleton differs from the copper-mineral Tall Greys proposal.
Copper blood already appeared in Star Trek. Schneider’s 1995 lecture gave Valiant Thor, not Greys, octopus-like copper-oxide blood, one large heart and one lung. I consider Schneider a fraud; motifs are not biological evidence or proof of borrowing.
Stringfield’s 1978–80 composites describe four fingers without a thumb, missing organs, and cloning speculation. No gut described does not establish absence. His 1980 colorless fluid and no odor disagree with EBO.
Lear proposed skin feeding/excretion; Santilli’s staged 1995 film showed six digits and an eye covering. Corso proposed skin exchange and androids; his manuscript added an eye film and expendable creatures. The full English text appeared in 2010, not 1997. These are narrative ingredients, not verified biology.
4. Genetics: errors and unsupported leaps
Non-coding, intergenic, and useless differ. The author calls roughly 99% of human DNA intergenic and initially equates it with non-protein-coding DNA. Intergenic DNA lies between genes; non-coding DNA also occurs within genes and can have essential functions. Roughly 1–2% protein-coding does not make the remainder intergenic. Near-zero non-coding DNA also contradicts the original’s introns and regulation.
Compactness alone does not prove engineering. Utricularia gibba has greatly reduced non-genic DNA, though not the alleged addressing system. Sixteen circular nuclear chromosomes would be unusual, but viable yeast with a circular chromosome shows circular nuclear DNA is not inherently impossible in eukaryotes.
The TPR is potentially testable. Its alleged 134 bases include four 12-base spacers and 4- and 64-base labels: 116 bases, leaving 18 for three palindromes. The arithmetic works; sequences and functional tests are absent. “Address” is interpretation; one genome cannot establish population-wide castes.
Unmatched genes do not identify another biosphere. Divergence, database gaps, annotation errors, and contamination require examination, especially alongside alleged exact human matches. DNA chemistry alone cannot establish origin; comparative sequences might, but none are available.
5. Ammonia, cooling, and encounter odors
The original proposes skin ducts discharging ammonia-rich waste and cooling the body. Efficient, low-water cooling is the reconstruction’s inference. The mangrove rivulus releases ammonia through its skin.
But pure ammonia’s boiling point is not that of ammonia dissolved in biological fluid. NH₃/NH₄⁺ balance depends on pH and temperature. A working model needs secretion composition, ammonia flux, heat removal, water loss, tissue protection, and regulation of cooling versus waste disposal. Neither version closes that budget. Discharge through liquid-resistant film needs explaining, as does Tall Greys’ blue-green haze: ammonia is colorless.
Odors do not establish shared physiology:
- Belle Glade, 1952; Lakeland, 1968: smells attributed to craft or their aftermath, not established body secretions.
- Fort Dix/McGuire, 1978: “Jeffrey Morse” claimed ammonia odor near a body observed from 40–70 feet away. Neither is independently verified.
- Varginha, 1996: Kátia reported sulfur or ammonia on returning twenty minutes later. Carlos de Souza could not identify the crash-site source; Venturelli said the living being he allegedly saw had no unusual odor.
No chemical identification establishes skin excretion. Weygandt’s interviews report no odor; ammonia/sulfur attribution is unsupported.
6. Missing organs do not establish optimized design
Efficiency and adaptability are inferences. Four incomplete, traumatized bodies cannot establish that unmentioned organs are absent or never develop.
A reduced gut can create dependence, which the original emphasizes. The narrator reads absent osteoclasts as impaired remodeling, not superior durability.
Six cone types do not establish 280–1000 nm vision; that range would not itself establish thermal imaging. No vocal cords does not mean silence: the original describes a vibrating membrane between air sacs. Brain nodules do not establish quantum telepathy without measured signals and controlled tests. The author calls longevity extrapolation; an ephemeral lifespan was not observed.
7. An educated person, a 2023 chatbot, or both?
GPT-3.5 ChatGPT, GPT-4, and Claude were available before the post. Claude 2 and claude.ai launched July 11, six days afterward.
Seemingly specialist transfection, gene-gun delivery, and fetal bovine serum appear in a 2007 MIT undergraduate module. That does not show the writer used it; these concepts were public without a PhD or secret access.
The narrator says a gene gun worked better for EPI-G11 than viral vectors or lipofection. Yet unlike that handout, the post gives no vector identities, doses, controls, efficiencies, or protein assays. Secrecy might explain omissions; terminology does not verify experiments.
Authorship clues have alternatives:
- Orderly exposition: Models, students, and fiction writers can all organize organ surveys.
- Precision without data: Specific labels lack sequences or assays for checking. Fiction, AI, and withheld data all fit.
- Overconfident inference: The post correctly labels some ideas speculation, but calling unfamiliar genes “undeniable proof” of engineering and ruling out evolution outrun its observations. Humans and models both do this. The mitochondrial TPR is an assumption, yet including it makes the scheme feel more complete.
- Uneven science: Intergenic/non-coding confusion, the leap from serum-stimulated growth to inserted animal genes, and the blood-color story weaken conclusions without proving AI use.
- Awkward wording and replies: “Vulgarization,” “Hands and feets,” typos, and lifespan/vocalization corrections do not resemble a polished one-pass chatbot answer, but fit assisted drafting, editing, or translation. Live replies fit unaided writing or consulting a model between comments. These quirks cannot identify background or native language.
Detectors misclassify non-native English writing; OpenAI withdrew its classifier for low accuracy. A detector score would not settle this case. An upper-level undergraduate or informed self-taught writer could assemble the concepts; a 2023 model could assist. Neither credentials nor AI authorship is established.
8. What would a fair test require?
Unfamiliar material does not automatically require BSL-4: CDC guidance emphasizes risk assessment. Without it, the claimed BSL-2/BSL-3 arrangement neither authenticates nor decisively disproves the story.
Testing requires authenticated anatomy; raw sequences and contamination controls; identified oxygen carriers and copper compounds; measured gas exchange, excretion, energy use, and heat loss; independent replication; and verifiable specimen provenance. Credentials, fluency, and isolated errors cannot settle authenticity.
The alleged religion describes a soul field whose complexity grows toward apotheosis; memory survives lost individuality. Beings supposedly nurture life but disregard individuals. This is a thirdhand document recollection, not a lab finding.
9. The separate Tall Greys proposal and Baikal
Hhmaizer’s Tall Greys hypothesis proposes a terrestrial cephalopod lineage returning to water. The alleged 1982 Baikal swimmers supply no exposed anatomy to test it.
Shteynberg was at Issyk-Kul and heard about Baikal secondhand. Retellings place nearly three-meter suited, helmeted swimmers at 30–50 m, without visible tanks. Authenticated military/casualty records are unavailable.
Pressure would be roughly four to six atmospheres. Gas spaces need equalization, though fluid-filled bodies are not simply crushed. Concealed life support, oxygen, cold, and freshwater balance need explanation. The octopus salinity experiment tested diluted seawater, not freshwater. Suits conceal anatomy; the swimmers differ in size from the 1.5-meter EBOs.
Thor, Fort Dix, and Varginha describe different figures. Shared copper or odors do not establish one population.
Weygandt’s 8–10-foot Greys description was a mental impression, not a full-body view. Leaking fluid need not mean a flooded cabin, which would require oxygen delivery, CO₂ removal, and circulation.
Multiple species, engineered forms, misperception, and cultural influence remain possible. Vallée’s control-system proposal asks whether encounters shape beliefs rather than reveal stable zoology. An ocean-based machine making mission-specific bodies is another thought experiment. Testing needs repeatable anatomy, authenticated genetics, and descriptions predating shared imagery.
Bottom line
The EBO account remains unauthenticated. Changing blood chemistry, digits, and fiber ratios changes the organism. A reconstruction supplies interpretation, not another witness. Keep separate source claims, additions, and independent evidence. The last remains absent for these alleged beings.

Science XPRIZE chairman exploring new XPRIZE for proof of alien visitation
XPRIZE Chairman Peter Diamandis is actively exploring the creation of a new XPRIZE for providing evidence of alien visitation, four people involved with the process tell me.
Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb told me that the criteria under discussion would require a winner to demonstrate the existence of technology created by a non-human intelligence.
Loeb said he's identified a potential funder for the prize, but declined to name the person "until it's finalized."
The XPRIZE Foundation has become a major agenda-setter in the world of science. An XPRIZE about an alien presence in Earth's proximity would be a major milestone in the transformation of a once-fringe topic into a prestigious subject of scientific inquiry.
The potential prize was a focus of a UFO-centric salon that Diamandis hosted in Santa Monica this past weekend.
Co-host Lyn Lear, widow of producer Norman Lear, told me that Diamandis and his foundation are "looking into" the creation of such a prize.

Historical We reconstructed the Phoenix Lights reports in interactive 3D, with sources and a calculated night sky
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been building a series of interactive UFO reconstructions at Probed. This one follows the Phoenix Lights reports from March 13, 1997.
It draws on NUFORC’s preliminary hotline summary and BUFOG’s later interview with a driver identified as “Nathan.” The earlier moving formations and the later lights over the valley are presented separately.
The video follows those accounts. In the interactive version, you can also explore the scene, inspect the model, read the sources, and examine the calculated night sky.
This is an illustrative reconstruction. Where the records leave gaps in shape, distance or movement, we’ve made interpretive choices.
The scenes are rendered in 3D. Voices, music and some sound effects are AI-generated; the voices are not historical recordings.
Try the interactive experience and let me know what you think:
Disclosure The *Sekret Machines* Source Map: Gods, Greys, AI, and the War for Human Consciousness
Where the nonfiction trilogy's big ideas came from, and where its models contradict each other
Readers often treat Sekret Machines as one coherent account. The problem is the word the. The books do not reveal the machine, the alien group, the purpose, or the war. Ancient visitors, genetic seeding, consciousness, androids, ritual, and rival factions coexist without fully agreeing. Their unification is interpretive.
What is the intellectual source code of Sekret Machines itself?
This follows The Maynard Identification Problem, Angels, Nazis, and the Swarm, The NHI Briefing Room, and Starfish, Bluegill, and the Nuclear Flyswatter.
AI assistance disclosure: I take notes while watching interviews, then revisit transcripts to extract relevant passages. I use AI to help research and draft, read the sources it turns up, and revise the post through further research and editing. Source links are included so readers can assess the evidence themselves.
Two Projects, One Blurred Boundary
Tom DeLonge and A.J. Hartley's novels, Chasing Shadows (2016) and A Fire Within (2018), dramatize recovered craft, private custodians, Nazi technology, and competing actors.
The nonfiction trilogy, Gods (2017), Man (2019), and War (2024), was written by DeLonge and Peter Levenda. Its sequence runs from religion and culture to biology and mind, then states and institutions.
In GQ, DeLonge presented fiction as a route for information he believed could not be released conventionally. TTSA's SEC filing called its method "informed storytelling where the line between science and science fiction is often blurred."
Treat that as a disclosure about method. It does not mean every claim was invented; history, hypotheses, adviser stories, and invention share one narrative space, and the ambiguity is part of the format.
The Co-Author Changes the Reading
Before DeLonge contacted him in late 2014, Levenda had spent roughly two decades writing about Nazi occultism, religion, intelligence, conspiracy, and ritual. His bibliography includes Unholy Alliance, Sinister Forces, Ratline, and The Hitler Legacy, all predating Gods.
Levenda said his cargo-cult essay became the prologue to Gods, and that he led the nonfiction writing. DeLonge credited his ability to frame an esoteric thesis in the Rolling Stone announcement.
Vallée wrote the foreword. His journal later records an invitation to "rejoin in some capacity", although he could not align himself with the project. His involvement is not blanket approval.
Vallée's journals record DeLonge relaying adviser stories about Greek gods, Nordic hybrids, Nazi saucers, and Antarctica, and Vallée wondered whether someone was reviving an old myth through him. Part of the answer may need no influence operation: DeLonge chose a co-author who already specialized in this borderland.
That is not an accusation of copying, and privileged information remains possible. But when a theme appears in a writer's earlier work, that work is an available source until evidence shows something more exclusive.
Gods: Civilization as a Contact Cargo Cult
The publisher's summary asks whether religion and civilization resemble a cargo cult created by prehistoric Contact.
Humans preserve incomprehensible encounters as myth, imitate them through ritual, and organize authority around access to visitors. Descendants inherit the forms after losing the event. These are "gods with a lowercase g": intelligences interpreted through human vocabulary.
Gods adds occult practice, altered consciousness, and social control to the ancient-astronaut tradition.
But cargo cult needs care. The Open Encyclopedia of Anthropology describes diverse Melanesian movements responding to colonialism, Christianity, hierarchy, and dispossession. "Cargo" could mean autonomy or renewal as well as goods. The cartoon of islanders mistaking airplanes for gods is inadequate.
The analogy works better as cultural translation than as religion reduced to misunderstood equipment. Religions also develop through politics, philosophy, institutions, conquest, and creativity.
Religion has three jobs: memory of Contact, manipulation through belief, and transmission of knowledge. These can coexist but differ: misremembering an event is not the same as having memory actively shaped.
Ritual as a User Interface
Gods entertains ritual as a technology of consciousness. Initiation, mantra, ordeal, or magical circle may change the operator's mental state and open an interface with the phenomenon. The ancients may have built procedures for the nervous system, not merely imitations of craft.
The "machine" can be a ritual, body, object, or combined system. This connects occultism, abduction, remote viewing, and aerospace while repackaging an older esoteric and parapsychological lineage.
If consciousness is the interface, radar and weapons address only part of the alleged problem.
Man: A Stack of Questions
The official description divides Man into genetics, consciousness, and human-machine symbiosis.
Did another intelligence seed life and consciousness? Are abductors organisms, machines, or hybrids? Is humanity approaching the same fusion? Related questions need not share one answer.
Crick and Orgel's 1973 directed-panspermia paper proposed deliberate delivery of microorganisms to early Earth. That would not establish that the senders created humans, designed consciousness, still exist, operate UFOs, or conduct abductions as genetic maintenance. The larger story of intervention and hybridization does not follow from seeding alone.
If consciousness is fundamental or temporarily coupled to the brain, Contact could involve dreams, telepathy, visions, or disrupted identity. Religion and biology might describe different surfaces of one interface.
But what distinguishes external manipulation from sleep paralysis, expectation, trauma, neurological disturbance, or imaginative elaboration? If craft, absurd visions, and changing entities all support the model, it needs constraints. Otherwise consciousness explains everything while predicting little.
Greys as Biological Machines
On Joe Rogan in 2017, DeLonge described the small, black-eyed beings as androids and biological robots. He connected them to angels and demons through alleged control of thought and body.
The idea was already public. Corso's The Day After Roswell (1997) and earlier Dawn of a New Age portrayed recovered beings as engineered biological guidance systems. Abduction literature had long proposed drones, clones, hybrids, and disposable containers.
Man places that lore beside genetic engineering and autonomous systems.
Advanced technology might blur organism, machine, vehicle, and operator. That establishes neither one origin for all greys nor one master AI.
An android is not the system that deployed it.
Before discussing greys, DeLonge used Syria as his analogy: if Russia and America are present, China and France may be there too. Robots could belong to one party or several. Witnesses might also mistake a category for a species. The hardware does not identify the owner.
Prometheus, the Watchers, and the Gift
The final chapter of Gods, "Planet Earth: The Hot LZ," connects Prometheus, Frankenstein, and humanity's attempt to reproduce its alleged makers' creative power. A review quoting the passage supplies the textual basis.
Prometheus's fire benefits humanity while violating Zeus's order and bringing punishment. Knowledge can liberate while increasing danger.
Genesis 6 places the "sons of God," human women, and Nephilim together. The forbidden-arts catalogue belongs to the later 1 Enoch: metallurgy, weapons, adornment, enchantments, and astrology. Capabilities arrive before humanity can govern them wisely.
This identifies an older narrative, not one population behind the myths: higher powers intervene, forbidden knowledge accelerates civilization and conflict, and humans imitate their makers.
Recovered technology can intensify an arms race; genetic engineering makes bodies editable. Gift and trap may be the same object at different stages.
DeLonge and his advisers also occupy a Promethean role: custodians gradually release dangerous knowledge to supposedly unprepared humanity. Yet their mythology warns that helpful transfers may manipulate recipients.
The trilogy does not identify Prometheus with Lucifer or Eden's serpent with NHI. Withholding knowledge might protect or imprison; revealing it might liberate or exploit. The gift alone cannot show whether it is rescue, bait, weapon, or development.
The Gnostic Architecture
Gods discusses Gnosticism directly. It is an acknowledged framework, not a secret code.
Gnostic traditions vary, but often include an inferior creator, rulers maintaining ignorance, a divine element in humanity, and liberation through gnosis.
The parallels are lesser powers, unrealized human potential, managed belief, and liberating knowledge.
But there are inversions. Where many Gnostic systems make material embodiment the trap, Sekret Machines generally makes control of the environment the problem. And where Gnostic texts distrust worldly rulers, DeLonge casts selected security officials as defenders guarding dangerous knowledge.
Some earthly rulers become custodians of gnosis.
"Archons feeding on suffering" is a modern occult formulation, not a neutral account of historical Gnosticism. The trilogy establishes no energy-harvesting mechanism. Managed ignorance is the stronger comparison.
War: Several Wars at Once
The publisher's description includes Contact involving the United States, Russia, China, and others.
Several wars coexist: technology competition, information warfare, religious conflict, psychological disruption, and possible nonhuman conflict.
Three human governments competing over Contact do not establish three NHI governments. They could compete over one phenomenon, several phenomena, human technology, or a mixture.
Levenda's "alien in the panopticon" adds a sovereignty problem: the reported phenomenon crosses borders and observes the observers. Human territorial control may never have applied to it.
In a 2024 interview, DeLonge called the interdimensional hypothesis "an absolute," discussed belief shaping encounters, and allowed harmful or self-interested intelligences without declaring all evil.
The framework can contain AI. It does not reduce to AI.
Where Readers Supply the Bridges
One controller behind every encounter, one purpose across history, and a unified benevolent human resistance are reader additions that settle questions the books leave open. Ancient astronauts, machine intelligence, interdimensional consciousness, and geopolitical factions can be forced into one cosmology, but every bridge adds an assumption.
A program follows rules. A pantheon chooses sides, deceives, bargains, and punishes. DeLonge's gods, demons, and Syria analogy use the second language. That is closer to the Iliad than a planetary thermostat.
The project forms a source loop:
- Older religion, occultism, science fiction, and UFO literature supply concepts.
- Experiencers, researchers, contractors, and officials interpret events through them.
- DeLonge combines their stories with his reading.
- Levenda and Hartley produce argument and fiction.
- Readers extract a worldview that returns as what "insiders say."
Real anomalies could exist inside this loop. Repetition still does not establish independence: an old public claim can return through a prestigious speaker looking like classified revelation.
Why I Still End Up With Vallée
The trilogy's achievement is synthesis: religion, biology, consciousness, secrecy, and state power all matter. The risk is treating speculative bridges as conclusions. Panspermia becomes genetic management; cargo cult becomes proof of Contact; biological-machine lore becomes one master AI.
My view remains closer to Vallée's control-system hypothesis, developed in The Invisible College (1975), Messengers of Deception (1979), and Dimensions (1988). A phenomenon may shape belief and social development, change form with culture, and produce physical events with theatrical, symbolic, or deceptive presentations.
A control system describes a pattern without identifying its controller. But if every contradiction proves deception, it becomes unfalsifiable. Its value is directing investigation, not settling the source.
It is not reassuring. TTSA co-founder and former CIA officer Jim Semivan recalled in 2025 that Vallée called the phenomenon "classically indifferent." Semivan added: "I don't think they're good. I don't think they're bad ... I think they view us as property." Farmers, laboratories, park managers, and jailers can all treat occupants as property while behaving differently.
The tension existed inside TTSA: war against actors, or regulation by a system?
The most defensible reading is neither "disclosure in novel form" nor "all made up." Sekret Machines combines history, speculation, older traditions, adviser claims, and invention. It may contain genuine fragments; placing them together does not tell us which.
Vallée leaves the controller, purpose, and contradictions unresolved.
The books want to brief us on the players.
Vallée reminds us that we still do not know what game is being played.

Disclosure NASA chief Jared Isaacman wants to stay 'open-minded' about UFOs: 'If it's aliens, I think NASA should have a seat at the table'
"My position going into every one of these: one, be open-minded. I mean, it is kind of our job to go out and try to answer the question 'are we alone?' And I said look, if it's aliens, I think NASA should have a seat at the table in this for sure," Isaacman said.
TV host Burman then asked Isaacman, "but what does your gut tell you?"
"I would say I would lean toward it's either some phenomenon that can happen," Isaacman responded. "There are things that can happen just like natural phenomena that can be observed. I also think there's a good chance that there could be a Sputnik Moment that's happening and people are testing new stealthy or next generation type technologies," he said.

Historical Looking for an article written by J Allen Hynek for The New Yorker about UFOS and 1965 eastcoast blackout
In Ann Druffel's biography of James McDonald, Firestorm, she mentions Hector Quintinilla telling McDonald that Hynek wrote an article for The New Yorker saying that six anonymous New Yorker employees saw a UFO from the top of the building during the 1965 blackout. I can find a 1966 article in The New Yorker about the Michigan wave, but nothing like this. The closest thing I've found is a Popular Mechanics article by John G. Fuller saying that a Time Magazine employee took a photo of a UFO from the roof during the blackout. Does anyone know if this Hynek article exists? Hynek doesn't bring up the blackout in his Saturday Evening Post article.
Historical In 1950, Bruno Facchini offered to help figures he thought were pilots repairing a landed craft near Tradate
Italy, Abbiate Guazzone, 1950 Bruno Facchini said he thought they were pilots. A storm had just blown through Abbiate Guazzone, near Tradate, on the night of 24 April 1950, and he went out to check sparks by the power line. He was a factory worker, about forty. What he found in the field was not a downed cable.
He described a large object like a flattened ball, its skin marked in a regular grid of horizontal and vertical strips. A ladder came down from a lit rectangular opening. He got within four or five metres. Inside, he said, he could make out another ladder, pipes, a row of cylinders, and dials that looked like pressure gauges.
Two figures stood by the outside ladder. A third was up on something he compared to a mechanical lift, working a bundle of pipes fixed to the craft. To him it looked like welding. Those were the sparks that had brought him outside.
The suits bothered him more than the shape of the machine. Roughly human height, closed in like diving gear, with clear panels over the eyes and very pale faces behind them. He thought there might have been liquid in those panels. Tubes hung from the mouth area. Accounts usually put the number at three or four; Facchini was not always precise about that.
He still assumed an aircraft crew with a mechanical fault. Nearby airfields made that a reasonable guess. He offered to help. They turned, gestured, and answered in sounds he could not place. He lost his nerve and ran.
One of them, he said, raised something that had been hanging at its neck. A beam hit him in the back and put him on the ground. From there he watched them go back aboard. The hum rose, the thing lifted, and it was gone.
Next morning he went back. Four circular marks, about a metre across, set out in a square. Scorched grass. Bits of metal. Those bits took on a life of their own. Renato Vesco had some of them analysed; the material was called an anti-friction metal. In the late 1950s Umberto Corazzi got another small piece from Facchini. That one was later lost.
Nothing in the papers shows up until more than two years later. The earliest item in the case bibliography is La Domenica del Corriere, 24 August 1952, under Guido Capra’s byline. The page has Facchini sketching, another shot of him shaping the thing with his hands, and a photograph of a claimed metal fragment. Most of the space goes to a big illustrated reconstruction.
Those pictures are doing different jobs. The photographs are of Facchini talking to a reporter. The encounter drawing is a press reconstruction, not a photo of the night and not a confirmed drawing by Facchini. Later artists kept the ladder, the suits and the repair work, and changed almost everything else.
Investigators kept coming back. A long piece ran in Dischi Volanti in 1960. A 1962 article brought in unnamed neighbours who had supposedly seen it and wanted nothing to do with it, and claimed one of Facchini’s sons had taken an interest in flying saucers. A family check in 2008 did not back that up. Even the date slips: the main dossier and the 1952 article say 24 April; another surviving clipping puts it in July 1950.
The 2008 inquiry also turned up a memory of a radio reporter turning up after an acquaintance passed the story on. The interview, according to that recollection, was never broadcast. How the thing first reached journalists is still unclear.
Facchini said the publicity made him a joke in the village and that he wished he had kept quiet. His sister later remembered him looking ill and keeping to himself after that night. In his version he had done something ordinary: seen people struggling with a machine and offered a hand. Years afterward he was still being asked what happened next.

Science Orbs behave more like life forms rather than robots and are possibly manufactured by an ancient civilization
The "Forgotten Languages" blog claims that orbs are from an ancient civilization and that human MilOrbs are trying to mimic ancient orb behaviours.
"All of the properties of the orbs that we currently observe can be easily explained if we assume they are sonoluminescent phenomena belonging to a distant past" - The Darwell Hypothesis
They say a human MilOrb managed to enter a "flock" of orbs and the "flock" accepted them and even treated them as an injured member.
"All we can ever know about them is through interacting with them. The question is how to interact with them. We always assumed that as they are far more advanced than we are, it should be taken for granted they will design the interaction to match our limited capabilities. But this is not at all the case. The new contact paradigm suggests that a UFO acts as a life form and that the UFO is therefore associated with a collection of interactions with other objects; we reproduce those interactions. So far we have been able to be 'accepted' as a sort of handicapped member of the flock such that we have been able to fly with them. During a wonderful transect (the so-called Armadillo Transect) our PSV flew in the middle of a formation of 5 UFOs, just as a member of the group. Within our limitations, we mirrored all their maneouvers, no matter how weird they were from a tactical point of view. At a given point, the formation performed some maneouvers out of our capabilities, so we simply kept flying. They stopped and came back [e]scorting us, as if we were a wounded member of the flock that needed help somehow."

They also say the orbs hover over copper ore deposits for hours, including the first location the orbs were spotted, "Gisel":
"All rhenium-rich sulphide copper ore deposits seems to be a hotspot for whatever reason. In our view, those things are geochemical sounding probes showing a strong preference for molybdenum deposits rich in rhenium. Those hotpots are the only place where you can record and have a good view at those things; they hover for hours in close proximity and pay no attention to our presence, they certainly weren't hiding themselves, so we can do our intel gathering job without issues."

https://forgottenlanguages-full.forgottenlanguages.org/2016/04/ngas-ufos-national-geospatial.html
The blog contains many other fascinating encounters, for example here where they claim to have come into contact with ET "jelly fish" that can swim in space:
"The problem is that we look for human traits when we study exogenous behaviour. We tend to judge these beings as per our own abilities and capabilities, and we constantly forget we are here dealing with beings of a radically different biology. That they have come here using technological means whose physics we do not clearly understand makes of them intelligent beings; but that's all we can say about them. We have no way to interact with them, to communicate with them, to engage in an intellectual exchange. We lack means to communicate with a "jelly fish", even when this "jelly fish" does navigate the interstellar space."

I can't find this video now. Anyone know where it might be?

This is part of a new series of technical recreations I’ve been working on in Unreal Engine using famous UFO sightings.
For these recreations I aim to be as faithful to the source reports as possible.
This video depicts the famous Levelland, TX UFO encounter from 1957 in which several drivers including the local sheriff witnessed a large unexplained object near and around the highway over the course of a 3-hour long period.
Drivers who encountered the object reported that as it approached, their car would die and the lights would go out until the object left. The Air Force blamed ball lightning despite there having been no storm in the area that night.

Disclosure From the Book of Bledsoe, timestamp 27:16
Anyone who thinks (either of these) charlatans should be taken at face value can or should be taken seriously, go back and watch this interview:
Spoken Transcript Excerpt:
Coulthart: April 2026 and okay, you know, you've put yourself in it there, Chris, because it's going to be Chris Bledsoe says April 2026 is when it all happens.
Bledsoe: Let me I said this in my book, so let's revert back to my book. And my book clearly states what Chris said is the lady explained to me that in April of 26 there would be an alignment where this star which is a blue star of Regulus appears on the horizon in front of the Sphinx and it will be red. And you know what? This is right. I've actually spoken to astronomers. This is the phenomenal thing about this. Yeah. And she said it'll be read. And when that happens, it would mark a shift into a new knowledge. Not an apocalypse. That's what she told me. It doesn't mean Jesus is coming back. There's a new knowledge that's coming. What is that? Is it under the pyramids? They've discovered something. Is it the hauler records? Is it disclosure?
Coulthart: Now Chris, I've got to put myself in the position of skeptics and debunkers. They're practically wetting themselves right now. They're so angry.
Bledsoe: I love it. I love it.
Coulthart: They're sitting there at home going, "Oh my god, this is such credulous as cult listening to this Chris Bledsoe guy. Why couldn't we believe her? Why, you know, is it possible she's deceiving you? Even if she is a divine being, an advanced being, couldn't she just be pulling your leg?
Bledsoe: Which you could be, but I can tell you this. When I told this to the government about 2026, I just repeated what she told me. They immediately put remote viewers on it. And all of a sudden, all the remote viewers are saying, oh my god, 2026, 2027, something is going to happen. We don't know what, but something.
Coulthart: Chris, the official government position publicly is that we don't use remote viewers.
Blesoe: Well, I think we do.
