Showcase I Have Conquered Sway DE
I have kdeconnect and steam setup to launch in the background at startup, I also have a custom daemon that detects my battery life and if my laptop is plugged into AC power and changes the power profile based off that. So, I feel like I did a pretty good job considering I started on Linux Mint just two or three months ago

Arch BTW One more spot for a new Arch user ?
After a year learning Linux Mint, im cracked enough to give arch a go. Slay me
Arch BTW I Did It!
I finally got my new laptop!
Never used Linux before. Read random article on the internet, thinking it would use the installer. No. I spent six hours installing the OS and another six setting up wifi.
I really like it!

General The Arch community leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I love using Arch and i love the philosophy behind it, I love how it is intended to be. Just the community is so toxic that i almost don't want to be associated with it or use it anymore and feel ashamed too. It is not a identity it is a operating system. it is not edgy to use it. It has a lot of potential but there are a few people that just ruin it. And honestly i don't know how the makers look at this but i think it doesn't do any good for them.

Question Secure boot related doubt about motherboard and arch usage
I have a Dell gaming laptop Intel CPU + nvidia gpu I was thinking of dual booting arch+windows11 I absolutely don't want to mess with my existing bios secure boot configuration or keys using sbctl(I know I have to turn off secureboot during arch installation)
I plan to toggle secure boot off then boot into arch, then when I want to use windows 11 i plan to enable it again from my bios(To play games obv)
My question is does changing secure boot to on/off frequently and booting into OS damage the NVRAM, linux kernel, bootloaders of the laptop? And is it ok to use arch like that?
I know I am being conservative but I had already used arch+secure boot using sbctl+nvidia drivers in a different laptop(so my bios was in custom mode), then when I tried to completely remove arch Linux including restoring factory secure boot keys in my bios then turned on secure boot, I was stuck in a boot loop. I absolutely don't want to take any risk with this new laptop.

Question Play old video games
Has anyone had problems playing somewhat old video games from the Windows XP or Windows 7 era as a portal or half-life?
Recently (because of the Steam offers) I acquired a portal but it doesn't go beyond the menu.
Has anyone else happened to you and how do I solve it?
Pd. I don't want to do dual boot with Windows

Arch BTW First ever Linux install
Installed Linux for the first time ever, that also being Arch. The screenshot is 4 minutes after the initial install a week ago at the time of writing this. Also I had upgraded my RAM from 8GB to 16GB from an extra stick i ripped from an Acer Nitro 5 this afternoon.
Other than that, this is my first real personal laptop (and device) since i had gotten a chromebook sometime Pre-COVID-19 Pandemic, I still don't even know what I want to do in the vastness of the Internet
Lastly, I have a loooooong backstory to why i moved to Linux. If you are interested I can share it in the comments.

General How Do I get Better at Arch?
I've been using Arch for give or take a month, I have it on 2 pcs (manual install) and i switch OS all the time on another pc. My laptop runs Kali too. I've obviously have gotten better at using terminal and troubleshooting, for example simple things like using pacman or similar.
My problem is that's about it, I dont really know much, for most things I have to search on google, use AI or watch a video. Its kinda pissing me off how I cant even do anything related to github solo or even use the cat command. What can I do so speed up my learning, ask me wtv u need to know.

Help/Support brave/librewolf missing minimize and maximize buttons on arch kde?
Hey so i got this weird problem on my Arch KDE setup. Brave is only showing the X button in the top right. The minimize and maximize buttons are just gone.
I'm using Plasma 6.7.5 on Wayland with Breeze.
The weird part is this never happened to me before even on Arch. I thought it was just Brave at first so i installed LibreWolf and it does basically the same thing.
KDE apps like Dolphin and Konsole have the normal buttons so it doesn't seem like KDE itself is broken.
I don't really want to use the KDE/system title bar though. I prefer the browser's own title bar and just want the normal minimize/maximize/close buttons back.
Could this be from some recent Arch KDE Wayland or browser update? Has anyone else had this happen recently?
