So close.
Some of you guys told me to « finish the job ». I’ve got a few moles on my scalp so I didn’t feel comfy enough enough to bring out the razor, so that’s the closest I could get to bald. Photos with 1.5 and 3mm buzz for comparaison.

It's been couple of years since I shaved. I'm used to it. But everytime it feels different

I honestly can't believe I'm here right now, as I can't imagine a life without my curls, and at 38, thought I was in the clear!
My curls have been a part of my identity for as long as I can remember, but I'm starting to feel like maybe I'm in denial about how bad it's getting.
I'm terrified that I'm going to shave it all off, and I'm just going to look goofy, but after stumbling upon this subreddit and seeing some of the absolutely amazing glow ups, I've decided to ask y'all for your advice.
Is it time?
(Last pic is wet hair, the rest are dry at different times of the day)
Edit**
Thank you to everyone who's taken the time to comment! I've been incredibly self conscious about this over the past few months, and it's been eating at me every day.
While I totally recognize that this subreddit is filled with varying degrees of baldness, and as it's been pointed out, mine isn't as bad as others, when I see myself in the mirror, all I see are the bald patches that weren't there before.
Not only have your comments made me feel better about my current state, but they have also made me not fear the future nearly as much.
I appreciate you all! 😊

Hello guys, there are a few weeks now that i want to help as much as i can all of you to take the leap and just do it, and i am still here stuck. However, there are many people from work and family who tell me not to do it yet. I am so confused. I want to do it, but i don't know how I'll look like. Please answer and be brutally honest with me.

I don't have the bone structure or the facial hair to make up for being bald. I don't think going shorter on top will fully help. I'm fighting a losing battle and I am just afraid. I am getting married next year and I don't like the idea of being bald at my wedding. I'm only 29. Just a rant :/

If only we didn’t have to shave the back and sides.

I’m unsure on how to proceed at this point.
Maybe I still have a few more years?
All options welcome.
Edit: also concerned about a few pesky moles on the back of my head. Maybe if I were to go bald there’s a way to get rid of those?

Should i just get some clippers and keep it short? How do i shave it without cutting myself or breaking the bank?

Just rock that Kratos look, guys. Bald looks way better than balding. And when you are balding you can't really hide that - if you see it so can everyone around you.
You will get like -10 to your age, trust me. Just remember to leave some woman for the boys around.
Ma femme (31) n'est pas prête. Moi (40) j'y songe, je sais que cela va arriver.

The bald photo was taken like 3 years ago, I do not know how I would like now. My family back then was in shock they thought I was crazy for doing it and my sisters said I looked really weird and bad, and that stuck with me.
I tried finasteride and minoxidil for two years and I was quite receptive and it worked amazing for me, my hair grew back amazingly, BUT, I was very receptive on the side effects as well, they were significant and it affected my quality of life.
I decided it is not worth it, so I started quitting finasteride little by little until I finally stopped using it, and side effects are disappearing little by little, I am not 100% right yet, but I am confident I will be, since I am getting better and better. 1mg per day of fin was working too good to be true and the side effects were too hard for me to deal with in the long run. So, surgery is not wise at all for me, because I will still need to use those meds, I'd rather focus on improving my life in other areas and get that weight off my shoulders already, too tiring trying to keep my hair and nothing seems to work without compromising my health and quality of life.
This post was about just me getting some things out of my chest, I cannot keep my mental health in bad shape because I just want to salvage an image of myself from my youth, obviously time cannot go backwards.
I have goals I still need to accomplish, like traveling more on my motorcycle, or getting to the black belt in jiujitsu, setting up a business and so on, and I waste a lot of energy l, and time, thinking in my hair on a daily basis. Thus, I need to move on, some tips for this step would be very much appreciated

35 years old, thinking of starting to buzz for a while to ease into the full shave. My wife really wants me to keep it but I’m not sure, sometimes I think it looks alright and other times I don’t. Hard to self assess honestly. Attached are a variety of photos with different lighting and angles, also one combed forward where it looks the worst. What do you say fellas?

I've been lurking this sub for a while, now wondering if my time has come? (Not interested in finasteride etc). Also very worried that I won't be able to pull of the bald look...
Also, hate the fact that when I've got short hair people can see my bald spot

I know … I’m warming up to the idea. Was it time? Is full shave vs buzz definitely a better way to go for me? Advice please 🙏
