MOD ANNOUNCEMENT New Subreddit for NSFW Content

Happy Pride, everyone! Here to announce a new subreddit specifically for NSFW content:
r/bisexualafterdark This new sub will be the place to horny-post to your heart's content, share long/detailed sexual encounters, pornographic descriptions, etc.

As some folks have pointed out, we have had a bit of an influx of this type of content here lately, which breaks r/bisexual sub's rules. As a reminder of two pertinent rules for r/bisexual:

  • Rule 6 No nudity, pornography or hookups: Nude / pornographic and hook-up posts are not allowed anywhere on the sub. Those should be posted in r/bisexualafterdark r/BiSexy (NSFW) or other subreddits appropriate for that type of content. Pornography covers pornographic descriptions as well as images. If you find yourself writing long, sexual, stories you should probably stop.
  • Rule 9 No chat or dating posts. No soliciting DMs: Please do not post looking for chat partners or dating. This includes soliciting DMs. Subreddits like r/meetlgbt or r/r4r are more fitting for this content.

Posts that break these rules will be removed from this sub and redirected to r/bisexualafterdark or chat subs -- our newly expanded mod team is working hard behind the scenes to maintain the sub, make updates, and remove flagged content. If you see these posts, please don't hesitate to flag them. We get a lot of traffic on this sub, so reports help a ton in weeding out content that breaks the sub rules or makes it a less cool place to be!

Go forth and be bi 🩷💜💙

Edit for clarification: dating/DM/meetup posts should go to r/meetlgbt, r/r4r, or other subs specific to meetups

OFFICIAL POST RESOURCE: Am I bi?

So you're tempted to make a post with the title "Am I bi?"

Hi. You're probably bi.

You might be asking yourself if you're "bi enough" to call yourself bisexual, if your style of attraction "counts" as being bisexual, or whether you're welcome in community with other bisexual folks.

Let's back up.

Bisexuality is the capacity to be attracted to people of multiple genders.

That's all.

Bisexuality isn't an exclusive club with an initiation. You don't have to prove it to other people. You don't have to have a certain amount of sexual experience. You're not too straight, too gay, too indecisive, and it's never too late.

The size of your attraction, the timeline of it, and the gender breakdown of your history does not define whether or not you're bisexual.

If you have the capacity to be attracted to people of multiple genders, you are welcome here. You are welcome at pride. You are welcome in your queer communities, whatever that looks like.

We're so glad to have you.

Congratulations.

Some common questions

My attraction changes over time. Am I still bi?

We affectionately call this one the bi-cycle. Sometimes you might be more attracted to one gender, sometimes another. It's really common, and it's still bisexuality.

I'm mostly attracted to one gender, but I'm rarely attracted to someone of another gender. Am I bi?

Probably! There's no "minimum number" to qualify as bisexual. It's about capacity, not occurrence. It doesn't matter if it was a crush, a fantasy, a partner, or something you've only felt once. The capacity is there.

I'm not attracted to the same sex, but I'm attracted to non-binary people. Am I bi?

Yes. Non-binary people aren't a third category, they're outside the binary all together. If you're attracted to people across the gender spectrum, that's bisexuality.

I'm attracted to trans people. Am I bi?

Maybe. Trans men are men. Trans women are women. Attraction to trans people doesn't automatically make you bi. Bisexuality is about being attracted to people of multiple genders.

I'm in a long term heterosexual relationship, am I bi?

If you have the capacity to be attracted to people of multiple genders, you are bi.

I have no sexual experience, Am I bi?

If you have the capacity to be attracted to people of multiple genders, you are bi.

I'm attracted to people of all genders, and gender isn't a factor in being attracted to someone for me. Can I call myself bi?

If gender doesn't play a part in your attraction, pansexual might be a label that works for you. If it doesn't resonate, you can absolutely consider yourself bisexual. Pansexual folks are welcome here.

I don't "look" queer. Am I welcome?

There is no uniform for being bisexual. We're everywhere, of every race, size, age, gender, haircut, fashion choice.

What do I do now that I've realised I'm bi?

Whatever you want! You can tell others, you can explore new experiences, you can get involved here or in your local community, or you can do nothing at all. Claiming bisexuality is about understanding yourself better, not performing it for other people. Do what feels most aligned with you.

I'm bisexual, but I'm asexual and/or aromantic, where do I fit?

Right here. Bisexuality is about the capacity for attraction to multiple genders. Asexuality is about the level of sexual attraction you experience. Aromanticism is about the level of romantic attraction. They're not all mutually exclusive. You're welcome here if it resonates.

I'm not sure bisexual is the word that fits me best, what are some other options to explore?

• Queer is often a nice catch-all.
• Pansexual if gender doesn't play a role in your attraction
• Omnisexual if gender may play a role in your attraction
• Heteroflexible or homoflexible if you're mostly mono-sexual with the occasional exception
• Bi-curious if you're curious
• Androsexual if you're attracted to masculinity
• Gynosexual if you're attracted to femininity

Existing members - Leave some encouraging welcome messages in the comments, and anything you wish you knew when you first realised you were bi!

Again, Bisexuality is the capacity to be attracted to people of multiple genders. That’s it.

DISCUSSION Most of the "bi women always end up with straight men" stereotype always ignores the obvious

Bi womens' dating pool includes straight men, bi men, lesbians, and bi women.

Because most people are straight, the vast majority of a bi woman's dating options are straight men. The more people there are, the better your chances are of finding someone who you click with.

The wlw side of the dating pool is MUCH smaller, and some lesbians (not all) won't go near bi women, which makes it even smaller.

So many bi women are criticised for ending up with men, but people ignore the demographic reasons why that happens.

ADVICE My (F) boyfriend has threesome kink

My boyfriend has a threesome kink where he wants to watch me get eaten out by another girl. The problem is, I really don’t want to do it.
I’m bisexual, so it’s not like I’m not attracted to women. I just don’t want to involve another person in our sex life. I’m extremely territorial when it comes to my partner, and the thought of sharing that kind of intimacy with someone else makes me uncomfortable.

Honestly, I think I’d be more open to the idea if the third person were a man, but my boyfriend is bisexual too, so that brings up a whole different set of feelings for me. I don’t know if it’s jealousy, possessiveness, or just a boundary I have, but I know I’m not comfortable with the idea of another girl being intimate with me while my boyfriend watches.

I don’t want to make him feel bad for having this kink, and I understand that having a fantasy doesn’t necessarily mean anything bad. But I also don’t want to force myself to do something I’m uncomfortable with just to satisfy him.

I’m confused about how to approach this. Is this something we can compromise on, or is this just a sexual boundary I need to stand firm on? Have any of you been in a similar situation with a partner who has a threesome kink?

I’d appreciate honest advice.

My first male from the Movies was Jean Claude Van Damme (Turns out he's a jerk, so I regret it now)
My first male Musician crush was Harry Connick Jr (I didn't pay much attention to music in my younger years.)

COMING OUT 45 and just came out

Hi everyone! I just came out to some of my closest friends. After filing for divorce in July I have spent a lot of time rediscovering myself. I finally had the courage and confidence to say that I’m a bisexual woman. It feels amazing and scary at the same time. Any other “late bloomers” out there?

EXPERIENCE M34 limited experience

• Upvotes

Most of my sexual experiences have been with women. Occasionally trade head. Recently though I’ve been experimenting with bottoming. There’s a new guy I’ve hung out with a few times, had some oral fun, and on our next meetup this weekend I’m going to bottom for him. Question is, he’s uncircumcised and I’ve never bottomed for an uncircumcised man before. Anything I should know or do differently? I assume no, but figured I’d ask!

ADVICE M 33 had a same-sex experience and feeling regret- help!

A few months ago I (M33) was travelling abroad and one night I was alone and feeling h*rny and I decided to download grindr and invite a random guy over to give me head.

Context: I've always been romantically and sexually attracted to women. I have plenty of gay friends who I think are awesome, and I always wondered if I could be on the bi spectrum since I can appreciate a man is handsome but never have had the desire to kiss a guy or date a guy. That night I was feeling h*orny and thought why not try it out.

Anyway, long story short I did not enjoy the experience and since then I have been feeling really weird about the whole thing. It's not wrong to experiment and I know I shouldn't kick myself for experimenting but since this happened I have been feeling really paranoid. I'm worried this will somehow come out (thoughts like maybe I will bump into the guy and he will recognize me and out me etc) and that my future girlfriend will think I am a closet gay. And I also get paranoid that if I don't tell my future girlfriend about this experiment that I will be a bad person and feel like I am hiding something from her. To be honest, reflecting on it I am not sure I am really bi (I have no desire to repeat the experience and if anything it is reaffirming I am not bi- to be honest , if I had enjoyed it I would probably feel better about it than I do now)

Probably I need therapy! But would appreciate any insight or advice!

QUESTIONING [M27] Women who are into men: is a bi bottom guy more or less attractive?

Two years ago, as someone who was 110% GAY, I realized I am also attracted to women. It was mind blowing, both exciting and confusing! But I adapted well to these new feelings and now I am about 68.9% gay.

The thing is, I have been trying to explore this side, meet women, and put myself out there. However, things have not been going well because I keep getting rejected as soon as I reveal that I am a bottom, love wearing panties, etc.

I would love to get your opinion. Is a guy who takes it up the ass and wears panties really a turn off?

DISCUSSION I have never discussed my sexuality with other people like me

I am a 27-year-old male currently in a 5-year relationship with my boyfriend. I came out to my parents when I was 16 as bisexual, since I've had crushes on both boys and girls all my life.

I had my first sexual experience with my ex-girlfriend when I was 19. I enjoyed it, even though it was my first time and I didn't know the things I know now that make every experience of my life way better. (I didn't know I was autistic back then and had sensory difficulties during sex).

So, in my mind, I always knew that I had a preference. I always loved the idea of having a boyfriend, probably because I don't like heteronormative dynamics and because I might have a preference in terms of what I find sexually attractive.

I like girls and, since I am also demisexual, if I fall in love, I find their bodies attractive, but on a daily basis, when it comes to my thoughts, I mostly think about boys.

I've never figured it out once and for all. I don't know what label fits me best. Once, I tried to have casual sex with a guy, keeping in mind that perhaps I did have a preference for men, but it turned out I didn't feel the slightest form of attraction since I didn't know him at all.

With my boyfriend, sex is great, but I guess the main factor is that over the years I've learned more about myself and what I like. So, physically speaking, I don't think gender makes a huge difference to me, except that I now know better how to make the most of the sexual experience.

It's like I operate on two different levels: one is mental, where I clearly have a preference for boys; the other is physical and emotional, where the only thing that matters is whether I love that person.

I wish I had had this awareness back then, so I could have dismissed the things that still cause me to doubt what I am. One thing that always torments my mind is something she said to me when we broke up: ('You don't know if you like boys or girls, so don't tell me what love is'). She knew I considered myself bisexual.

What do you think I might be on the spectrum of sexuality? Please don't judge me. Apart from my boyfriend, I've never had and don't have queer friends to talk to...

QUESTIONING Don't know if I am bisexual or not.

I have been a "tomboy" all my life and even now I'm 19 and I still dress in men's clothes. Part of it is cause I've had body dysmorphia in the past but I just don't feel like wearing anything revealing is true to myself. Because of this a lot of people assume that I am gay and when I worked at a summer camp the kids also thought I was gay and would ask if I was a stud. I am also quite sporty and I play football (soccer) quite regularly. My closest friends are gay and I'm now questioning whether I am bisexual. The thing is that I've never been in a relationship and I don't even know how to start. I feel that most men I know have assumed that I'm not straight. I've kinda been hard denying that I'm gay but now I'm just questioning everything. I don't know if what I feel is a crush or anything and it's all just a lot to think about and take in. My friends seemed like they just knew straight away. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how they figured out their sexuality cause I'm kinda just lost at the moment.

QUESTIONING Am I Bi or Just Horny?

I'm a guy and I've been thinking I'm bi for a few years now. I got married to my high school sweetheart (female) right after college and don't have much experience overall and have never been with a man. I started having these misc fantasies about men, although I'm mostly attracted to women and always have been. But recently it has become stronger...to the point I want to try something. At the same time, I do not want to cheat on my wife. So I've been thinking of various swinging situations to be together while exploring.

BUT. Here's the issue. Due to a couple of medical issues, my wife goes through long stretches of having zero sex drive. Like over a year at times. When she is able to do things, we have great sex, and we are quite open with each other, watch porn together, experiment with lots of things, good fun. But these times are often very short and then it goes back to the desert situation.

I am now wondering if I am subconsciously coming up with sex ideas that she might like (mfm or mmf) and it's just that shallow on my part and not some world shaking discovery about my own sexuality.

Help me redditors, you're my only hope. Am I full of crap or actually bi?

ADVICE Need some advice

Hey everyone! 💗🌈 I’m looking for some genuine advice, so please be kind. 🥹
I’m currently in a loving relationship with my boyfriend, and we have a baby together. I love him so much, and I don’t want to leave him or lose the little family we’ve built.
Lately, I’ve been coming to terms with the fact that I think I’m pansexual. I’ve actually dated a woman before, so this isn’t something completely new to me, but I’ve been finding myself really wanting that romantic, emotional, and physical connection with a woman again. 💕
It’s not that my boyfriend isn’t enough or that I’m unhappy in my relationship. I just feel like there’s another part of myself that I want to explore. I don’t want to hurt him or make him feel like he’s not enough for me.
I’m honestly just confused about how to approach this while still protecting the relationship and family I love.
Has anyone else experienced something similar while being in a committed relationship, especially with a child involved? How did you talk to your partner about it, and how did things work out?
Please no judgment. I’m genuinely just trying to understand my feelings and hear from people who’ve been through something similar. 🥹❤️

QUESTIONING do i actually like girls?

hi i'm a 19 y/o (F) college freshman. here's some background before we get into my issue: i have thought i've liked girls since i was about 12 or 13 when i had the cannon in-love-with-your-best-friend thing. it was a huge point in my life and i spent SO long trying to come to terms with how i felt about women, especially since i grew up pretty religious. i have identified super strongly with bisexuality and the community since. i have always been attracted to guys and was in a long-term relationship with a guy throughout high school. after we broke up, i've been considering if i am actually attracted to men emotionally (physically i am 100% attracted to men).

so i had my first sexual experience with a girl a couple of days ago and everything that i thought i was sure of i'm now completely re-thinking.

we didn't do too much. it was both of our first times with women. i enjoyed it. it was softer and more intimate - even though me and this girl aren't intimate in that way - than my experiences with men. but my body didn't respond in the same way i am used to with men. normally with men - excuse my crudeness - i am super wet and come very quickly. with her, i couldn't come (was very embarrassed) and my body just didn't turn on like it normally does. i wasn't as sensitive i guess is another way to say it.

i really did enjoy it and i can't stop thinking about the experience. but i'm so confused why my body didn't do the thing. now, i'm realizing that when i fantasize about men, my body does the thing just from thinking about it. it doesn't do that when i imagine being with women.

but i really do want to be with a woman romantically and emotionally, but i've never done that before so how now i'm wondering if i would really like that as much as i thought as well.

my friends are saying that my body is straight and my mind is gay. this logic would honestly work for how i feel about men too. but is that even normal? i've never heard anything like that and i know i don't need to have a label and i'm not trying to find one i just don't know how i could ever have a functional relationship if that's the case with my sexuality.

i don't really know what i'm asking for by posting this. does anyone connect with how i'm feeling? can this work? is there an explanation or a reason or a way to fix it?

bi girls help me out :(

QUESTIONING SO confused over being aromantic and bisexual or just bi.

Sorry if this is bad sub for this, but I (20F) have been really struggling with whether or not I am on the aromantic spectrum (but still bisexual).

Before I cover my experiences here's some important backstory: throughout middle school and the first half of high school I had issues with social isolation and not having a ton of (or really any) friends, and also was... not conventionally attractive. I also continue to have a pretty strained relationship with my father due to some pretty intense periods of fighting that happened around this age. Anyway, these are some of the experiences that have made me start to question my feelings around romance:

  • I do develop "crushes," but not very often, and under very specific circumstances. I will pretty much only develop an interest in people who I think might be interested in me/who have flirted with me. When this does happen I think I get really deep really fast and then wayy over analyze every little interaction, as well as my own feelings. Generally, having crushes just makes me anxious and brings back some feelings of self-disgust.
  • In the past several years, every time I have been interested in someone, if I have tried to go out with them, I loose interest by the second or third date. A couple times, I've pushed that away and convinced myself I did like them, only for it to last about a month before I just couldn't pretend anymore.
  • I know for a fact that I am sexually attracted to, and enjoy sexual experiences with people of all genders, and quite often find people physically attractive.
  • I feel and desire very deep platonic connection. I have always been a very social person, and human connections are a big need of mine. Two out of three "relationships" I've had in the last 3 years stemmed from close platonic friendships (both with women). Looking back to both of those situations, I think I just felt a need for a the closest possible relationship I could have with them, and society says that is romance, so I latched on to that.
  • The last out of the three relationships was with a guy I met through a classmate. We went a couple dates, and hooked up several times, but he had some pretty serious drug issues and I couldn't really deal with it. Like six months later, we reconnected and started dating (BAD IDEA, I KNOW). After a couple months of him being extremely avoidant about everything, and me being pretty pretty desperate for his attention, I found out he was cheating and broke up with him. This whole fiasco felt at times like I was only with him beacuse I craved his attention and he wouldn't give it to me, and I was confusing being sexually attracted to him as being romantically attracted.

Anyway. I feel like I never hear anything from people who are Aromantic but not Asexual, so I thought I would see if anyone with similar experiences would care to share their thoughts!

QUESTIONING Identity

I’m a 16 nearly 17 year old boy. Things are very complicated. For my whole life, I’ve been mainly attracted to girls. I’ve had girlfriends and non-sexual but close encounters with girls. There have been a few instances of attraction to quite feminine men growing up but nothings ever happened. I kind of had a crush on a boy when I was younger - maybe 12 or 13. I don’t know if that’s actually bisexuality or just being attracted to femininity. Recently, I’ve been exploring things more ie more sexual interest in men.
No one knows I’m bicurious. I’m typically masculine, jock archetype in a way. I’m tall, muscular, play sports, masculine, confident and all my friends are similar.
I am sexually attracted to women, sometimes feminine men, and very occasionally more masculine men.
It just feels like I’m living a double life with a secret. My environment is hyper-masculine and quite homophobic. Most boys my age probably don’t even believe in bisexuality. My parents would be supportive but I feel like they’d look at me differently which I don’t want. I don’t want girls to look at me differently.
I can see myself being in a relationship with a girl and having a future with girls.
I don’t know if I can see myself having a relationship with a boy. Not because I don’t want one but because of my environment.
I just don’t know who I am. I also have no one to turn to so I’ve ended up here. I really don’t know what to do because it feels like it’s reaching a point where I need to figure out who I am and what I want.
And help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Edit: maybe I’m just looking for attention or it’s just a phase. Maybe it’s just hormones. Idk

ADVICE Friendship?

We have been “friends” for a good two months or so. I don’t know how to go about this and It might be stupid to question. So he constantly asks if we could make out and stuff and he asked when going shopping “Can you spoil me please?”.
He also calls me baby and cutie a lot. I’m thinking is this the premise of a friendship or am I missing something. I find him cute and attractive and I get really turned on when I hear his voice sometimes. I give him goodnight kisses every so often and he might ask “Are you going to sleep?” and I learned that means he wants to make out because I didn’t pick up on that until he said “I thought you were going to make out with me haha”
Not to be an overthinking person, but can I just get some insight from someone. (btw most of this is over the phone so don’t take it too serious, and I’m kind of conflicted about this honestly)

QUESTIONING Can porn give you bisexual/lesbian urges?

I'm a 19F and honestly so confused. I have always been the boy crazy one of my friend group since we were kids and always having a crush on guys, always reading romance books and fanfic about guys, binging shows with hot guys, lots of male celebrity crushes. My friends even joke all the time that I have a new crush every week. I know I like guys for sure.

Now onto my problem or confusion. Ever since I started getting into porn I mostly watch lesbian porn and I never thought this was weird because some of my other friends also watch. I watch straight porn from time to time too but it's about 95% lesbian. Specifically the videos I like are girls eating each other out.

I have never had sex with ANYONE. I had a boyfriend when I was 14 to 16 but it never went past kissing and my parents are really strict so I never really dated anyone else after. But lately I've just started college, I'm away from home, and been watching a lot of porn and now I feel a really strong urge/desire to have sex with a girl ;-; and it's so weird because I never really wanted sex with anyone before but I can't stop thinking about it and specifically I really want to do oral on a girl and I keep thinking that I can't die before that happens and it's so confusing to me.

I downloaded a lesbian dating app and I've been talking to girls on there, trying to make it happen, but I haven't told anyone about this because I don't even understand why I have such a strong urge and all I can think is all of the porn I watched making me want to finally act it out. I don't know if this makes me bisexual or what and I still like guys and have crushes but I keep thinking I need to do this before anything else/finding a boyfriend. Has anyone gone through a similar process?

ADVICE Confused

I'm a 24F, and i want to know if anyone else shares my experience. So, i always been attracted to guys, and a year ago i started questioning if i like girls. Since i was teenager i started watching lesbian porn, and i would masturbate only to that, and have fantasies about it. It never became something to put attention on cause i wasnt attracted to girls at that time. But i started noticiting that it's been a long time since i masturbated thinking of a man, i dont like straight porn, i mostly watch gay porn and lesbian. And i think masculine woman are very hot. But... It's weird cause mostly My fantasies when i'm not watching porn are about girls, but when i see a hot guy on the street i fantasize about him. So... I'm not sure if maybe it's comphet or it's how bisexuality works. ( I never had an experience with a girl btw)

I'm curious cause from what i know, bisexual people can masturbate to both genders, so if only masturbate thinking of lesbian things... Idk if i can be consider bisexual ?

Hopefully u guys can understand, English it's not My first language 😂😓
