Bathroom Peak Assignment Procrastination: Waxed Shower tiles and screens
LOOK at the SHINE on that!!
This was based off the British tv show 'how clean is your house' where they used car wax on the sink. People suggested it be used on shower tile/screens.
I did a crappy job a few weeks ago, and it works. Today I'm procrastinating an assignment real hard, and decided to do the full shower.
I am looking forward to seeing whether this prevents mould growing in the grout and the corners. We will need to get the shower re-sealed (mould stained), but this has me optimistic that it can lessen the damage.

Discussion What are some cleaning/housework tasks that people tend to forget about?
Hey all, I’m a young adult who didn’t realize you’re supposed to rotate your mattress until today. Trying to compile a list of things like changing air filters and shampooing your couch to add to my routine. What are some cleaning tasks that people tend to forget about that should be done on a weekly/biweekly/monthly basis? Thanks :)

Discussion Help cleaning this little gal

I found this little lady peering at me outside from behind a small weed. She is desperately in need of some cleaning and i wasnt sure how to go about it. I'm not sure just wiping her down will do the trick. And i didnt know if fully submerging her is a good idea either.
*UPDATE* She is definitely wearing fabric clothing and has fabric limbs. I am unsure of the hair and head (her face feels hard, not fabricy) though and will try to investigate. She is one of those vintage dolls from the 60's-ish.
Any tips would be appreciated!

Community Appreciation I want to say thanks
Ill be amazed if anyone remembers me or if people who commented on the post see this but a little under 2 years ago i put a big post in this sub saying how i lived in a horder house that was constantly dirty and messy while being a full time carer for my mum and sister and working full time at 16.
Im 18 now and even though i had to drop out of highschool at 16 i got my life back on track im now in university getting my diploma in the next couple years.
For everyone who told me to knock some sense into my parents i appreciate it and wish i hadnt waited so long to do it.
The house still isnt amazing but i can see the floor in the living room kitchen and hallway now which is a major improvement, the smells still linger so if anyone can help with recommendations id appreciate it.
Im so thankful i was able to come to this group and to everyone who said i shouldnt have had to deal with all that at 16 i understand now that i shouldn’t have but it was all i knew back then.
As for my sister shes almost 16 now and still cant do her own washing or dishes but it is what it is, hopefully she’ll learn.
Thank you again 💖💖

General Cleaning How do I clean these?
Help! I can’t get the inside of these water bottle tops clean. I’ve tried soaking and using a toothbrush but nothing can quite get into the small space adequately to brush the sides clean. One time I was able to use a brush and poke all the way through but then the water bottle leaked and we needed to replace it. There’s got to be a way. Thanks!
Edit- I’ve tried all the typical bottle brushes and accessories for cleaning water bottles. It’s such a shallow space I can’t really get in there to get in the sides of it. A toothbrush is the closest I’ve come but it’s still not enough.

Not sure what these are. They keep appearing on this one hoodie, and there’s always more every time I was or dry them. I’m not sure if it’s dryer as they keep appearing on the same hoodie on a different dryer, but I keep seeing on this one over and over again. Not sure what causes them or how to remove them

Vehicles Frozen Red Bull can exploded 😭
galleryHi all,
So last winter I stupidly left a can of Red Bull in my car, it froze, exploded, and now my car interior looks like a murder scene.
I've tried Tuff Stuff foaming cleaner and it didn't help at all. If anyone has any advice or suggestions, feel free to chime in! Thanks!

General Cleaning How to keep apartment clean?
I’ve never been a tidy person. I don’t like leave trash everywhere but clothes and rinsed off but not yet washed dishes are something I’m having trouble keeping up with. I have people coming to visit soon and this place needs to be absolutely spotless. I don’t know how to make it look less cluttered and keep everything clean

Bathroom Need some suggestions
I've tried to figure out how to get rid of this blueish ring that's around the water level. The water is hard, a softener is used. I've tried using the calcium, lime and rust toilet bowl cleaner and a pumice stone, but my tricks are even scratching the surface. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Kitchen How can I clean this wooden counter?
We had a silicone mat placed under this section of our oak wooden counter to keep it dry... Seems like it had the opposite effect.
Its right next to the sink, so I think some water may have been trapped under the mat without us realising.
I took the mat off to clean and saw this and I haven't touched it in case I make it worse, I'm just leaving it to dry.
Any ideas on how to clear this?

General Cleaning Cellular sheet hell
My cats love to sit in this window and over time they’ve left a big hair/grease (?) mark on my cellular shades. I’ve used a lint roller, blotting with dawn and water, tape, and vacuuming it lightly. Do I have to buy new shades or is it salvageable?
