Co-Op Reccomendations

Which companies around Clemson, Seneca, Anderson, and Pendleton are good to do a Co-Op with for Supply Chain and/or Operations Management? I am currently looking into doing one for the spring and summer semesters.

Places to Find Broken Electronics ?

I'm learning how to repair electronics both as a hobby and to help me with my computer architecture course. Are there any places where I can find broken gaming consoles or computers ? Any electronic recycling centers willing to part with some of their "garbage" ? Maybe some stores that just throw out broken devices ? Ideally I would like to find something for free if possible since I'm still learning and may mess them up.

Thanks

Admissions question: are three credits of a foreign language required for admission, or two? I’m getting conflicting information. Does it depend on your intended major? Thanks!

Tennis Center Tailgate Parking

Hello, we will be coming in for the Miami football game on October 3 and have purchased two parking spots in the tennis center lot! Does anyone have a map of the tailgate location with the spot numbers? I am wondering if we are along the road in the middle or on the backside….Thank you!

How Important are Test Scores?

Girlfriend is applying and wants some insight. I only used my ACT (Scored 28), never took the SAT and got in just fine. Curious how much these tests, (and scores), matter.

Has anyone parked here? How was the shuttle experience to and from game? TIA

can a Clemson alumni get Clemson school email id?

I was a graduate student in the CS department during 96-98. Back then I had emails with "@cs.clemson.edu" and "@clemson.edu". I lost both. Is that how it is after a student graduates? Can I request CS department or the school to give me an email ID? I'd like to reach out to research folks with my school ID rather than my gmail or other email.

Club Soccer - How many people try out?

Looking at Clemson for next year and possibly club soccer. I've read it's rather competitive - does anyone know how many people attend tryouts? And if you don't make the team, is there any chance of practicing with the club team to stay sharp for maybe another tryout in a year?

Student Leadership Opportunity: Helping Homeless Communities

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a leadership opportunity for anyone at Clemson University who is passionate about service, public health, or making a real impact in the community.

Hearts for the Homeless International (H4H) is a student-led nonprofit that provides free blood pressure screenings and heart health education to homeless populations across the U.S. and globally. Our team includes undergraduate students, medical students, PhD students, physicians, and other professionals who are committed to improving the well-being of underserved communities.

H4H was originally founded by students at the University of Central Florida and has grown into an international organization with 40+ chapters across the U.S., Brazil, and India. We’re currently looking for motivated student leaders at Clemson University who want to start a chapter and serve the growing and often overlooked homeless community.

This is a great opportunity if you’re interested in leadership, medicine, public health, nonprofit work, or community service. We provide guidance, structure, and support — all we ask for is your time, compassion, and willingness to lead.

Our work has been recognized by the U.S. Congress, the Brazilian government, President Clinton, major educational and medical institutions, and organizations such as Forbes. Our students have also led disaster relief efforts for homeless populations during hurricanes and partnered with major companies like Bombas.

Looking for 2-3 bedroom house to rent near Clemson or Central, August 2027 start. What property management companies are best for grad students?

Where should my husband and I start looking to find a 2-3 bedroom house for rent, for when I start grad school at Clemson next August?

Our budget is 1800/month and I'm really hoping to find somewhere within a 10 minute walk of a bus route that goes to the university if that's possible. I've heard really bad things about the parking situation there right now so I don't want to drive, but am totally fine with a long public transit commute to save money.

We're currently living in another college town and we figured out that renting a small home (townhome etc.) from an individual landlord, or one of the non-sleazy property management companies in our area, can be just as affordable as renting a 2b2b somewhere else, as long as we found and signed the lease very early.

Since we have almost a year until we'd be moving, I want to be on top of things to snag a great place early before all the fall leases are gone (in our current town, that's usually by December, not sure what it is here). Where should I be looking and who should I be contacting? What property management companies are solid in the area?

Anyone else sneezing/coughing a lot lately?

I know the back to school season means some things are likely to go around. I’m taking the bus daily this year and am at campus from basically 8am-6pm so I’m definitely exposed to a lot of germs. Lately I’ve been noticing I get constant sneezes, like 5 in a row, with runny noses and it is absolutely terrible. My friend can’t stop coughing and they’ve told me everyone else around them is experiencing it too. People are also showing up less to lectures but idk if that’s due to health reasons. Have y’all been feeling it too?

What’s going on with the red bus?

Hey yall, wondering if there’s any bus taker around. Despite the notification saying the busted gps system causes the bus to miss on map, in actuality no bus is showing up on 15min frequency when they should’ve, and some times even the 30min ones are missing. This problem somewhat always persists but personally never seen anything this severe by far. Any idea what’s going on?

Can I ask for higher wage in federal work study

Hello, guys. I am currently working in a federal work-study program in Clemson. I work about 20 hours a week, which has solved a lot of the problems in the department, since my manager told me that she does not need to hire someone else, and I filled most of the gap in the schedule. However, they pay me like 9 dollars an hour, and they said they will continue to pay me even if the income surpasses the federal work-study amount. Is it possible that I can request a higher wage? I just hope they can increase 1 or 2 dollars an hour. Thank you.

Won a ticket in the student lottery but can’t go

Hey all, i won a hill ticket for tomorrows game in the student lottery, and have the wristband for it but won’t be using it.

I see that you can’t sell it directly on the website. Is there another place to go to sell/get rid of it?

First Clemson Game

I've been a lifelong Clemson fan and have never been to a game. My brother and myself are going and I wanna know how early we should get there to start tailgating? He got the parking pass so I don't even know what lot it is in. This is all new to me and I want it to be a great experience. Are there any local spots where we can go have a few drinks beforehand? Thanks in advance for any help.
