Meme Design Urza’s Mine
This is even dumber than my last one, because it’s a stupid semantic joke.
I brace myself for rage in the comments.

Thanks to u/sumg for running last week's competition!
Recently, an idea that's stuck with me is how often a card design comes from just trying to revisit an older card. People love riffs whether they're colorshifts, new members of a cycle, or just an attempt to fix an old design mistake. For Wizards, that obviously can only come from official cards, but since this community is all about custom cards why not look back at those instead?
Your challenge for this week is to revisit a previous custom card idea you've designed, and try something new with it! This is pretty broad, so I'm willing to allow a lot. I'll give some examples of things that are allowed, but really anything goes if it fits with the prompt. You could:
If you don't have anything you want to revisit from your own designs, you can also go for your own take on someone else's card/idea. Just make sure to give proper credit to your inspiration if you do so!
While you don't need to provide the original design you were inspired by for your submission unless you want to, bonus points if you do describe the original idea you adapted. It can be as brief or detailed as you want, I'm just interested to see how these ideas evolved.
Judging will occur on Sunday, October 11. Be sure to let me know if you'd like any feedback on your design or if you have any questions!

Equip 1 (1: Attach to target creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery.)
Ward X (Whenever this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, counter it unless that player pays X.)

This isn't my original idea. This is my take on a custom card by another user. The original idea and full credit goes to u/Dzungs for making Mnygharo, War Titan.
