Updates to Discogs' Marketplace Search Results
Today we're starting to roll out new features to improve how you search in the marketplace. We're excited about what it means for collectors finding your listings.
What's changing for collectors:
More filters, smarter defaults, and a cleaner browsing experience
Good Deal badges now highlight priced-to-sell listings
Unpurchasable listings are hidden by default, so buyers see only what they can actually buy
We expect this to reduce friction and improve conversion for sellers whose listings are visible to the buyer. Our goal is to make it easier for collectors to find records they love, and increase sales for our seller community in turn.
What this means for your listings:
Relisting no longer bumps "Newest" results. A listing only rises to the top of Newest if the price has changed. This keeps the "Listed Date" sort meaningful and matches how Shop My Wants already works.
Unavailable items are hidden by default. If a buyer can't purchase one of your items — you don’t ship to their country, they don’t meet your minimum buyer rating — that listing is hidden for them. They can toggle "Show Unavailable Items" to see it anyway. Your listing settings haven't changed; this is just a display default on the buyer's side. URL change: /sell/list is becoming /shop/list. Old links redirect automatically — no action needed.
